Bo Jingyan naturally agreed to be her assistant and was fully committed to his role. He smoothly drove her to their destination without causing her any concern.

Soon, they arrived at a villa.

Xia Qingtian didn’t answer her question; instead, her gaze fell on the wheelchair Cheng Bingbing was sitting in.

"Why are you in a wheelchair?" She furrowed her brows, concern seeping into her tone. "Has your ligament injury got worse?"

Seeing the misunderstanding, Cheng Bingbing quickly clarified, "No, my foot does not hurt anymore. Qilin is just worried about me. He fears my foot injury hasn’t healed and insists I use a wheelchair so that it doesn’t impede my mobility or put additional burden on my foot."

Fearing that Xia Qingtian might not believe her, she tried to stand up and take a few steps.

Huo Qilin anxiously held her arm, acting as her support. He said, "Don’t move, just sit down."

Cheng Bingbing couldn’t help but laugh as she saw his concern. She also felt a sweet sensation wave over her upon sensing his care. She loves being pampered by her boyfriend.

This kind of favoritism was something she never experienced while growing up, and as an adult, she wished to have more of it.

"Alright, you two, stop arguing." She told Huo Qilin and Cheng Bingbing, "Bingbing, you don’t have to stand up. Be obedient and accompany me to the hospital for a check-up. Then, we will know if you can walk normally."

As she heard the word "hospital", Cheng Bingbing immediately tensed up.

"I....." She bit her lip hard, her face turning pallid. "I don’t want to go to the hospital."

Seeing such a strong rejection of the hospital visit, Xia Qingtian felt curious. "Why?" she asked.

Had something unpleasant occurred to Cheng Bingbing in the hospital previously?

With this thought, her glance unconsciously fell on Huo Qilin.

During the time Cheng Bingbing was admitted to the hospital, Huo Qilin had been by her side. If something bad did happen, his presence as her boyfriend would surely mean he knew what had transpired.

"But without a follow-up, we won’t know if your sprained ankle has healed yet," Xia Qingtian let go of Bo Jingyan’s hand, crouched down next to Cheng Bingbing, and spoke to her in a serious yet caring manner, "Have you forgotten you still have scenes to shoot? The whole film crew is waiting for you."

Cheng Bingbing clenched her fists, a struggle apparent in her eyes.

She had devoted countless efforts into the film she was currently working on, alongside Xia Qingtian, and she had also grown fond of it.

Moreover, both the film crew and Xia Qingtian were gearing up to showcase this film domestically and internationally at various film festivals, with the hope of bagging prestigious awards.
