Chapter 661: Chapter 661: Wipe Him Out Completely_1

It wasn’t until Bo Jingyan carried the noodles to the living room and placed them on the table, that Xia Qingtian swiftly walked over and forcefully grabbed his hand.

"How’s your hand?" she asked nervously as she looked intently at Bo Jingyan, "Did you burn it?"

Seeing her concern, a faint smile flickered in Bo Jingyan’s deep eyes. "Don’t worry, I’m fine," he replied.

Xia Qingtian ignored his words.

She took hold of Bo Jingyan’s hand, examining it meticulously from top to bottom, left and right.

Bo Jingyan simply opened his palm – a hint of tenderness on his face – and let her do as she wished.

When Xia Qingtian’s inspection was over, and she found that his hand was genuinely alright and had not been burned, she finally let go. "Good, you should eat now," she said.

"Okay," Bo Jingyan obeyed, sitting down to eat the noodles.

Meanwhile, Xia Qingtian took a seat across from him and silently watched as he ate.

While neither of them uttered a word, the air was filled with a quiet tranquility, as if time had frozen.

Before long, Bo Jingyan had finished the bowl of noodles.

"Thank you for your hospitality..." Bo Jingyan placed the bowl back in the kitchen and said, "it’s getting late now, you should get some rest. I won’t disturb you any further."

"Okay," Xia Qingtian nodded in agreement.

Although she was reluctant to part with Bo Jingyan, she understood that given their current relationship, it wouldn’t be appropriate for her to ask him to stay.

Yet the man, who’d spoken of leaving and not disturbing her rest, merely stood where he was, his gaze burning into her, emanating a pitiful aura.

Xia Qingtian immediately understood. This cunning man had no intention of leaving.

His talk about leaving, it seemed, was just to prompt her to ask him to stay.

Realizing this, Xia Qingtian couldn’t help but be amused. Since she wasn’t willing to part with Bo Jingyan, and he wasn’t willing to leave either, she promptly said, "It’s late, and considering the weather, it might be dangerous for you to walk on the street in case it starts raining again."

Seeing her understanding and considerate response, knowing exactly what was on his mind, Bo Jingyan’s eyes filled with affection for her.

"Alright," he agreed.

And so, Bo Jingyan was able to peacefully stay for the night.

Despite the fact that they were divorced, Bo Jingyan still had many of his belongings left in the manor.

For some reason, Xia Qingtian had not thrown them away. Now, they came in handy.

She found a clean set of clothes for Bo Jingyan to change into after his bath.

Before taking his shower, Bo Jingyan said to Xia Qingtian, "It’s already very late, and I am familiar with this home. You don’t have to stay up on my account, feel free to go to bed."

Xia Qingtian glanced at the time. It was almost dawn.

It was undeniably late, and she had an important meeting to attend the following day.

Not wishing to argue, she agreed. "Alright then, make yourself comfortable."

With that, she stifled a yawn and returned to her bedroom.

Despite feeling tired, for some reason, Xia Qingtian was unable to fall asleep once in bed. Her mind was filled with images of Bo Jingyan.

She thought about his sudden appearance in the rain, and how he had drawn her into his embrace.

She thought about how tightly he held her, anxiously inquiring if she was okay.

She thought about him standing watch outside Cheng Bingbing’s hospital room in his wet clothes, all because he was worried that thunder might scare her again.

She thought about how he had handled the Zhu family’s matter for her behind the scenes.

She also thought about the time when he accompanied her abroad to find Xia Guohua.

She thought about his solitude as he faced the malicious Shi Qian, and his mother, who neither understood him nor ceased her demands for compromise.

Xia Qingtian’s heart ached in response to these thoughts.

At this moment, her desire to see Bo Jingyan was overwhelming. Fortunately, he was here in the manor – she could see him whenever she wished.

Not wanting to suppress her feelings, she quickly threw off the covers and ran barefoot from her room.

Xia Qingtian went to the room that Bo Jingyan used to occupy in the past.

She pressed her ear against the door to listen. It was quiet inside. Softly and stealthily, she pushed the door open to peek inside. The light inside the room was dim.

The bathroom light was off, and there was no sound of water running. It seemed that Bo Jingyan had finished taking his shower.

She looked in the direction of the bed.

On the bedside table, a lamp was lit, emitting a faint glow. The gentle arc formed on the bed indicated that Bo Jingyan was underneath the covers.

Xia Qingtian slowly opened the door further and quietly tiptoed in.

Arriving at the side of the bed, she swiftly lifted the covers and lay down. Without waiting for Bo Jingyan to react, she tightly wrapped her arms around his waist.

Actually, Bo Jingyan had known the moment she opened the door.

However, he also knew that the only person who would dare to enter his room without permission at this ungodly hour - was Xia Qingtian.

Curious about what she wanted to do, he kept silent and pretended to be asleep.

Even though he had anticipated that Xia Qingtian might do something unexpected, he was caught by surprise when she climbed into his bed and held him tightly.

"Qingtian, you..." Bo Jingyan was stunned and made a move to turn the room’s light on to see what was going on.

"Don’t turn on the light!" Xia Qingtian quickly reached out her hand and held his.

Upon hearing this, Bo Jingyan immediately gave in, "Alright, I won’t turn on the light. But what’s going on?"

Xia Qingtian nestled into a comfortable position in his arms, rested her head on his chest, and finally contentedly lay down, saying, "Nothing, I’m just a little scared, so I want you to sleep with me tonight. Consider it as my repayment for letting you stay here tonight."

"Scared of what?" Bo Jingyan asked earnestly.

This was merely an excuse Xia Qingtian had come up with on the spot. She didn’t expect that he would actually inquire further, leaving her speechless.

Seeing as Bo Jingyan wanted to know why, she saw no harm in providing him with a reason.

With that thought, she offhandedly said, "I’m afraid it might rain and thunder again in the night."

Bo Jingyan fell silent. Clearly her reason was made up; the storm had already passed.

However, he understood Xia Qingtian’s made-up reason was merely an excuse for her to share the bed with him.

He immediately wrapped his arms around Xia Qingtian, ensuring she was as comfortable as possible.

At the same time, he could discern something from her current behavior. His heart began to pound erratically.

Bo Jingyan wanted to inquire further, but found himself unusually flustered, his mouth was dry as if he was dealing with a multi-billion order.
