Cheng Bingbing did not want to go to the hospital for a check-up, and Xia Qingtian did not force her.

Fortunately, with the advancements in today’s technology, to confirm whether a woman is pregnant, one doesn’t necessarily need to go to a hospital, a pregnancy test bought from a pharmacy would suffice.

"Alright, we won’t go to the hospital." Xia Qingtian told her, "I’ll go to the pharmacy and get you a pregnancy test, and test it out for you."

As soon as she opened the door to the bathroom, she saw Cheng Bingbing, looking lost and holding a pregnancy test, slumped on the toilet, seemingly deep in thought.

On seeing that Cheng Bingbing was alright, Xia Qingtian heaved a sigh of relief.

When she had called out previously and there was no response, she had been genuinely frightened.

She had worried that Cheng Bingbing might do something reckless in desperation, but thankfully, she was thinking too much, and Cheng Bingbing was much stronger than she had thought and was not the type to make hasty decisions.

Xia Qingtian calmly approached Cheng Bingbing, placing her hand on her shoulder.

Gauging by Cheng Bingbing’s current state, Xia Qingtian already had an inkling of the result. Nonetheless, she gently asked, "So? What’s the result?"

It was as if Cheng Bingbing suddenly snapped out of her thoughts, yet she didn’t speak.

Her face was deathly pale as she handed the pregnancy test in her hand to Xia Qingtian.

Xia Qingtian took the pregnancy test, and, as expected, the result displayed was two lines.

She also examined the other test that was in Cheng Bingbing’s hand and the several tests that had been thrown in the trash bin. Without exception, each of them displayed two lines.

It was now confirmed, Cheng Bingbing was indeed pregnant.

Xia Qingtian was at a loss for how to comfort her. No matter what she said at this point, it would sound insensitive, so she could only silently stay with her.

Cheng Bingbing seemed to have had her soul sucked out of her.

She just sat there quietly, not speaking a word.

After an unknown amount of time, Cheng Bingbing seemed to finally accept the cruel reality. Looking helplessly at Xia Qingtian, who was standing by her side, she asked, "Sister Qingtian, what should I do now?"

Qingtian felt sorry for her, but she had to be firm.

"You now have only two choices, either keep the child, or terminate the pregnancy..." She gave Cheng Bingbing two options, "No matter what decision you make, I will stand by and help you."

In Cheng Bingbing’s eyes, a shred of pain and struggle appeared.

"There’s no need to wait, better to book the appointment now, so I can go for the procedure tomorrow..." Cheng Bingbing squeezed her lips together, looking stubborn, "I only took a two-day leave from the drama set, I have to go back for shooting the day after."

"Are you out of your mind?" Xia Qingtian said, disapproving, "Even if you could have the abortion tomorrow, you would need to rest in bed at home. How could you go to the drama set for shooting?"

An abortion is like a miscarriage, rest and nourishment are necessary. How could she insist on going back to the intense shooting at the drama set? Unless she’s willing to risk her health.

"I’ll be fine!" Cheng Bingbing insisted.

This time, Xia Qingtian didn’t yield. Instead, she continued in a stern manner, "When I say it’s not fine, it’s not. I will ask Director Zhao for at least another week’s leave. Meanwhile, they can start shooting scenes not involving you first."

After she finished speaking, she looked stern, asserting there was no room for negotiation.

Cheng Bingbing, despite being treated this way, was not angry. Instead, she felt a warmth in her heart.

If she had been born in an ordinary family, dealing with her current situation, her family would probably be as firm as Xia Qingtian in refuting her wishes and forcing her to comply, against her will.

Although she really thought that she wasn’t as delicate as made out to be, and that the surgery wouldn’t affect her shooting schedule.

However, seeing how much Xia Qingtian cared for her, she was willing to compromise.

"Alright, I’ll listen to you." Cheng Bingbing nodded.

The tense look on Xia Qingtian’s face finally relaxed a bit.

She stayed with Cheng Bingbing for a while longer, then planned to leave.

Before leaving, she said to Cheng Bingbing, "This matter with the child can be easily solved. You don’t need to worry or overthink. The only thing you need to consider now is whether or not to keep the baby."

"Actually, I don’t need to think about it. The child inside me, I will definitely abort!" Cheng Bingbing said resolutely, "Because, I don’t even know who the biological father of the child is, even if I were to bring the child into this world, we wouldn’t be happy."
