Bo Jingyan sighed helplessly, "Alright, I won’t lie to you!"

Xia Qingtian asked again, "So, did you help me?"

"Yes." Bo Jingyan honestly admitted.

Xia Qingtian had long guessed this answer, but to hear him admit it first-hand felt different.

"Why?" Her voice was a bit hoarse when she asked.

"Because I want to make it up to you," said Bo Jingyan after a few seconds of silence.

Xia Qingtian frowned, "Make it up to me? Why make it up to me? Because you made me wait for you all night that weekend?"

Without waiting for Bo Jingyan’s answer, she quickly said, "If that’s the case, then there’s no need. It was your choice. You helped me, and I appreciate you. I wanted to take you out for a meal, and prepare a surprise for you. These were all my decisions, they have nothing to do with you. Of course, you’re also free to not show up, and reject my gratitude!"

"So, there’s no need to do these things for me as some form of compensation."

She stated all her thoughts in one breath, then fell silent, waiting for Bo Jingyan’s response.
