Chapter 393: Chapter 393: Not Accepting Reality_1

After leaving the psychologist, Xia Qingtian had been by Bo Jingyan’s side, continuously voicing out the words she’d been wanting to say to him.

As she was talking, suddenly...

She felt Bo Jingyan’s finger twitch.

Xia Qingtian thought it was a figment of her imagination due to her intense desire for him to wake up, so she disregarded it.

But then Bo Jingyan moved again.

This time, Xia Qingtian was sure that his hand had indeed moved.

"Jingyan..." She gripped Bo Jingyan’s hand tightly, her voice filled with an excited inquiry, "Have you woken up?"

Bo Jingyan furrowed his brows. Even though he didn’t open his eyes, he spoke with a hint of weakness, "You’re too noisy."

Bo Jingyan was awake!

He had finally woken up!!!

Forgetting to take offense at his words, Xia Qingtian immediately pressed the call button in the hospital room.

Soon, doctors and nurses entered the room in succession. Knowing that Bo Jingyan had woken up, they immediately took him for examinations, including a brain scan, to find the cause of his sudden coma and see if any residual effects remained.

Xia Qingtian had kept a vigil outside, finding it difficult to calm her emotions.

The examinations took quite a long time. By the time Bo Jingyan’s mother and Shi Qian arrived at the hospital, Bo Jingyan hadn’t emerged yet.

"Jingyan, is it true that he woke up?" Bo’s mother, seeing Xia Qingtian, didn’t care about their past resentment. Panting heavily, she wanted to confirm the news again.

Xia Qingtian, seeing her sweaty appearance, knew that she had rushed all the way to the hospital.

Although she seemed cold and distant, she indeed cared deeply for Bo Jingyan.

Realizing this, Xia Qingtian handed over a pack of tissues and replied, "Yes, he woke up, we talked briefly. Right now, the doctors have taken him for examinations."

As soon as her words finished, the door to the examination room opened.

Bo Jingyan, seated in a wheelchair, was pushed out. After more than an hour of recovery, his complexion had significantly improved.

Xia Qingtian could no longer contain her emotions, and she instantly lunged forward to hug the man sitting in the wheelchair.

"I’m so relieved that you woke up, Jingyan," She expressed with regret, choking on her words. "You have no idea how scared I was during this time, I was afraid you wouldn’t wake up, you..."

Before she could finish her words, the man she was embracing pushed her away forcefully, in a way that was impossible to ignore.

"Stay away from me." His voice held a hint of indifference.

Xia Qingtian’s eyes welled up with tears. Upon hearing his words and perceiving his exceptionally indifferent behavior, confusion flashed in her eyes.

"Jingyan, what’s wrong?" She questioned, puzzled.

Bo Jingyan furrowed his brows, his gaze questioning her. "Who are you?"

Xia Qingtian’s body froze on the spot.

She couldn’t believe what she had just heard.

Bo Jingyan had just asked who she was.

Had she misheard?

Otherwise, how could he ask such an absurd question?

"Don’t you recognize me?" Xia Qingtian blinked, trying to hide the sourness welling up in her eyes, and asked back in a voice filled with doubt.

"Should I?" Bo Jingyan’s eyes were devoid of the love they used to hold, they only carried deep indifference. Looking at Xia Qingtian, it was like he was looking at a stranger.

Xia Qingtian couldn’t convince herself that he was joking, seeing his expression.

"Doctor..." She didn’t say anything to Bo Jingyan and instead turned to the doctor, asking anxiously, "What exactly happened? What’s wrong with him?"

With a grave expression, the doctor took off his mask, "This is what I wanted to discuss with the family members. There’s nothing wrong with young master Bo’s body, but he has lost his memory. His memory is stuck three years ago."

Xia Qingtian sighed in relief when she heard the doctor say that there was nothing wrong with Bo Jingyan’s body.

However, she felt as if she had heard a fairy tale upon hearing the latter part of his proclamation.

Amnesia?

Isn’t that something that only happens in cheesy TV dramas?

Do people really suffer from amnesia in real life?

And moreover, that person is Bo Jingyan.

"Bo Jingyan, stop joking..." Xia Qingtian was having trouble accepting this reality. Her eyes were filled with a fragile plea, "Pretending to have amnesia is not funny at all."

"I’m not joking." Bo Jingyan replied indifferently.

Of course, Xia Qingtian knew he wasn’t joking.

She also knew that the doctor was telling the truth. Bo Jingyan must have really lost his memory, otherwise, how could he be so harsh towards her whom he loves so much? How could he bring such sorrow upon her willingly?

But, how was she supposed to accept this?

She and Bo Jingyan got married three years ago.

If Bo Jingyan had truly lost his memory, that would mean he has forgotten everything that had transpired between them, forgotten their love, and didn’t even recognize her!

Xia Qingtian found it hard to accept.

She still remembered the day Bo Jingyan left for the airport when he promised her that he would make up for their wedding ceremony after returning from overseas.

She had waited for so long, and finally got him back.

But instead of the romantic wedding she had waited for, she received the painful reality that the man she loved deeply, had forgotten her completely.

Even asking her who she was!

Xia Qingtian was teary-eyed. She held onto Bo Jingyan’s arm tightly, squatting down in front of his wheelchair, "Bo Jingyan, look at me closely, look at my eyes."

"My name is Xia Qingtian, I’m your wife. We’ve been married for three years and we love each other very much. We have a son, named An’an. Try to remember."

Bo Jingyan listened to her words but felt a splitting headache.

He furrowed his brows, rubbing his forehead with his hands.

At this moment, Bo’s mother and Shi Qian finally returned her senses from the drastic change of events.

Seeing Bo Jingyan in pain, Shi Qian quickly stepped forward, pushing Xia Qingtian away, "Qingtian, don’t pressure Brother Jingyan. Can’t you see he’s in pain?"

"How could you be so selfish, only wanting Brother Jingyan to remember you, disregarding his wellbeing."

Xia Qingtian wasn’t ready to give up. She was determined to make Bo Jingyan remember her and all the things they had been through together.

"Jingyan..." She was about to say something else when suddenly...

Her phone started ringing, interrupting her words.

She pulled out her phone, ready to hang up the call, but when she saw the caller ID displayed Cheng Bingbing’s assistant.

She had told the assistant to call her only in case of a serious problem that she couldn’t handle when she had left Cheng Bingbing under her care.

Worried that something had happened to Cheng Bingbing, Xia Qingtian tried to calm herself down.

She answered the call.

The assistant was crying on the other end of the line, her voice filled with urgency. Cheng Bingbing had fallen from a horse while filming a critical death scene.

But the safety harness had failed, resulting in Cheng Bingbing truly falling off the horse.
