Chapter 670: Chapter 649: No, I Don’t Have
"No, I didn’t! I didn’t!"
Lina really didn’t know what to say. After getting married, Mario Jensen seemed to have developed more of the smooth talking skills that Michael Gordon possessed. Sometimes she wondered what would have happened if Mario had been so eloquent back then, combined with his years of persistence towards Ivy Aretha. But being a content woman, Lina naturally wouldn’t voice such thoughts.
"Alright, I won’t tease you anymore!"
Mario felt that if he continued to tease her, Lina’s face might just light up in embarrassment. Though they could be described as an old married couple, Lina seemed to have made no progress in shaking off her initial shyness as a woman.
Mario didn’t say anything more but simply pulled Lina into his arms, turned off the light, sighed helplessly, and closed his eyes, prepared to sleep.
"Mario..."
"Hmm?"
The woman’s hesitant voice carried a clear apology, causing Mario’s heart to soften. Whenever he heard her speak like this, he couldn’t help but feel guilty. "If you don’t want to, you don’t have to. Come on, go to sleep if you’re tired!"
Although he was about to sleep, Mario instinctively nestled his head into her neck, inhaling her scent of bath wash and milk. His eyes were closed, but he felt tormented as his body could not resist her charm. Which man could?
Mario felt his body temperature slowly rising, the heat boiling within him. He noticed not only his own breathing but also an obvious change in a certain part of his body. In the next moment, he could no longer hold her like this.
Still absorbed in the matter of having a child, Lina was trying to bring the subject up but couldn’t find the words to do so. She failed to notice the change in Mario’s body pressed against her back until he pushed her away and moved to the other side of the bed, waking her from her reverie.
"Mario, don’t be mad, okay?"
Mario had hardly pushed her away and relocated to the other side of the bed when Lina suddenly rolled towards him, hugging his waist with her soft cheek pressed tightly against his back.
This is truly unbearable!
He had barely managed to control himself when she started initiating the contact, demonstrating she had no sense of danger!
"Lina, let go!"
Mario’s hoarse voice carried a faint warning, originally meant for her own good. However, Lina thought he must be mad to say such a thing.
Since refusing their intimate engagement, this is already the third night in a row that she has made excuses about her body feeling unwell. Although Mario always obliged, he naturally understood that she was doing it intentionally. It made sense for him to be angry.
"I won’t let go, I won’t, I won’t!"
Summoning courage from somewhere, the usually gentle Lina was now showing defiance for the first time. With both hands firmly wrapped around Mario’s waist, she tightened her grip. "If you’re angry, you can tell me, but you can’t ignore me!"
Having finally grown closer to her husband and cemented their marriage, she didn’t want to ruin everything over such trivial matters.
"I’m not unwilling, I just..." Just before the word "pregnant" could leave her lips, Mario seized her hand. Before Lina could understand what his sudden grip meant, her hand brushed against a scorching hot temperature. Lina’s mind exploded in that instant, her cheeks flushing bright red under the dark night sky.
"Mario..."
"Do you still dare not let go?"
Mario chuckled bitterly and turned towards her. As Lina’s hand instinctively loosened, his hoarse voice arrived as expected. "Don’t provoke me if you’re feeling unwell. I won’t always have this much self-control. I’m a man!"
With the words "I’m a man," suddenly, a sense of guilt lurking deep within Lina’s heart emerged!
She had never had a great desire for such matters. Every time she had shown the slightest unwillingness or reluctance, Mario had always spared her. Although he never expressed it, she knew he was enduring it for her sake, not wanting her to be obliged to do so.
"I’m sorry, Mario!"
Lina’s head drooped lower and lower; fortunately, the light was off, so her current embarrassed expression remained concealed from Mario’s view. "I... made you... uncomfortable!"
"Ah!"
Mario lowered his head, gently kissed the top of her head, and sighed helplessly, "Silly girl, what are you sorry about? If you’re feeling unwell, don’t cause trouble. Just go to sleep, alright?"
"What about you?"
Without thinking, Lina asked, her habitual posture of being embraced by him causing her to automatically hug him back. The hand she had withdrawn returned to its original position. "Taking too many cold showers isn’t good!"
Huh?
She knew he had been taking cold showers for the past few days?
Lately, without their child Nana Jensen as a shield, Mario’s desire to hold Lina had become stronger; however, she wasn’t in the mood, so the moment she fell asleep, Mario would take a cold shower, thinking she didn’t know. Now, she was apparently aware!
"If it’s not good, I won’t take one!"
Mario replied casually, his mind racing, assessing Lina’s recent behavior. Though she seemed genuinely apologetic and intended to accept his advances, there were several times he could tell she was responsive. Furthermore, the doctor had said they could be intimate – as long as it wasn’t too frequent, there would be no problems.
However, Lina continued to be so resistant to this issue. What could be the root of the problem?
Sexual indifference?
She hadn’t admitted it, and he didn’t feel it was likely.
"Lina, what’s going on with you? I’m your husband. If you’re having trouble, feel free to tell me. You know, as long as you’re willing, there’s nothing I wouldn’t support you in!"
Mr. Jensen’s recent preference for indulging his wife was only growing by the day. Unfortunately, his wife was not very willing to let him indulge her, leaving him somewhat helpless.
"Really? You won’t stop me?"
As soon as Lina heard this, she instinctively exclaimed in delight, catching Mario off guard before he was suddenly surrounded by an inexplicable sense of foreboding.
He knew her too well. Usually, when she said this, it was related to something he definitely would not agree to. Just as he was about to ask her what was going on, Lina continued speaking.
"Mario, do you like children?"
"I do; our Nirina is so cute..."
Mario’s words trailed off halfway and were abruptly interrupted when he reached over to turn on the bedside light. The sudden brightness caused Lina to involuntarily squint her eyes.
