Chapter 651: Chapter 630: You Were Born to Be Mine

"Cathy, let’s go back to the hotel and keep Lina company. There’s nothing interesting to see here anyway!"

For some reason, seeing this figure, Ivy suddenly lost interest in the cultivated Lavender Manor in front of her. She felt an inexplicable sense of dread.

"Okay!"

Hearing her sudden change of mood, Julie thought she might be feeling unwell. "Are you feeling uncomfortable? Do you need a doctor?"

"No need..."

As Ivy shook her head and turned around, a chilling, sinister laughter with a hint of coldness echoed from behind her.

"Mrs. Gordon isn’t feeling unwell, she’s just scared after seeing me!"

A simple sentence, yet filled with arrogant, aggressive undertones. Ivy, who originally intended to ignore him and leave, couldn’t help but lose her temper, which had been quite calm since her pregnancy.

"Since you’ve already called me Mrs. Gordon, do I have anything to fear?"

Indeed, Michael Gordon’s name was her free pass from death. In this place, she had nothing to fear. Without turning around, Ivy spoke and prepared to step away and head back to her room. But the man behind her let out a low, carefree laughter.

The cold indifference in that laughter sent shivers down her spine.

"That’s only in Andras City. Don’t trust your husband too much!" The icy voice was cold yet flirtatious. "My - dear - Little - Prin-cess!"

Dear? Little Princess?

In an instant, Ivy’s forward steps stopped. Stimulated by his words, she turned to look back at him. "I’m telling you, a man should know his place. This is my husband’s territory..." She trailed off, cut off by the sight of the familiar face in front of her.

The familiar face, cold atmosphere, and the aggressive smile when he looked at her reminded her of a hunting cheetah. Especially his eyes, cold and deep, staring intently at her swollen belly, made her entire body shiver. Familiar fear enveloped her as she instinctively wrapped her hands around her belly.

"It’s you?"

Within a split second, Ivy recognized the familiar feeling. This man had appeared on the beach of the resort island that night, and she had sensed the same feeling. She had called for Michael Gordon, and the man had left.

"We meet again, my dear Little Princess!"

"Please address me as Mrs. Gordon!"

Unable to bear such an intimate address, Ivy’s patience wore thin. "How did you end up here?"

The Manor had just opened for business, and the wedding of Madeline and Jaysen was taking place. It should have been impossible for outsiders to enter. However, judging from the man in front of her wearing a black leather jacket, he looked like a underworld Boss straight out of a TV series. It wouldn’t be surprising if he used some method to get in.

"How could I be here at Mr. Smith and Miss Harrison’s wedding? I was, of course, invited. What, you think I came just to see you?"

He paused and, without waiting for Ivy to reply, clapped his hands. As the man strolled out from the depths of the lavender, he spoke: "However, if you were to divorce Michael Gordon and get rid of the child in your belly, I might not mind marrying you and making you my wife. Although you’d be second-hand, you still have a noble status!"

The man did not seem to be joking. He nodded as he spoke, giving it some serious thought. Ivy felt as if she had just heard the biggest joke of the century.

"Huh! You’re talking pretty big for someone with a small face. What makes you so sure I’d leave my husband and child for you?"

Someone as narcissistic and gloomy as him needed to be put down. Ivy couldn’t wrap her head around how Jaysen could have such a friend. "Indeed, a dark-looking person has a distorted heart. It’s true what they say, ’Appearances are revealing of one’s true nature!’"

"John, Little Princess, you have too much faith in your husband." The man stared at her, cold words dripping from his lips, filled with hidden meaning. "Perhaps the darkest person in this world is Michael Gordon?"

"Better not waste your breath trying to sow discord. I haven’t grown up just to feed my brains to pigs!"

Ivy hated people who tried to cause trouble and discord. A firm believer in evidence in legal affairs, even more so when it came to the man she loved, she would never be swayed by someone she had no good feelings for.

"Little Princess remains as arrogant as ever. But, I like it!"

He likes it?

"Like your sister!"

She didn’t even know him, what’s there to like!

"Well, you truly are my little cousin. In our country, cousins are allowed to marry, so..."

"Your country?"

Hearing these words, Ivy instinctively became cautious. Her entire body retreated. She automatically recalled her encounter with a middle-aged man kneeling down to call her Princess during Theo Scott’s wedding. After that, she hadn’t heard any more information. Could it be that the man in front of her had something to do with that?

No, that’s not right!

"Who are you? Since you’re attending a wedding, either you’re Madeline’s friend or Jaysen’s. If I remember correctly, he doesn’t have a dark friend like you!"

Birds of a feather flock together. This man was clearly not from the same world as Jaysen!

"Of course. How could he deserve a friend with such noble blood as me?"

As the man in black spoke, he walked toward Ivy. An unrestrained, malicious smile spread across his handsome mixed-race face. His grin deepened as he looked at Ivy. "Only my dear Little Princess is worthy of my noble blood, don’t you think?"

"Let’s go!"

Frightened by his words, Ivy subconsciously felt that he was a schizophrenic lunatic who spoke utter nonsense. As a pregnant woman, she couldn’t afford to be around such a madman. Instinctively, she grabbed Julie’s hand and walked away.

However, beads of cold sweat formed on Ivy’s back from the man’s words. Little Princess? Cousin?

What was all this about?

"Ivy, slow down. He’s not following us!"

Shocked by Ivy’s frantic actions, Cathy instinctively reached out to support her. Indeed, the man had not followed them. He just stared at Ivy’s retreating back as the color in his eyes deepened.

"No need to rush, my Little Princess. We’ve only just begun!"

A smile spread across his lips as he spoke with unwavering resolve. "You were destined to be mine from birth, where can you possibly escape to?"
