Chapter 466: Chapter 445: I’ll Kill Him!

He was dressed in a casual shirt and pants, with casual footwear, different from most men on the beach who wore beachwear. The dimly lit beach lamps made it difficult to see his face clearly now that it was already dark.

But they could see that he was an Asian man, not from the West!

As the man approached step by step, the cold aura emanating from him grew stronger. With every step closer, Ivy Aretha felt the temperature on her body drop, and the eerie feeling of being watched all day came to the forefront of her mind.

An inexplicable fear overcame her, and Ivy involuntarily took two steps back. She wanted to call out to Michael Gordon, but he was still on the phone. The man’s indifferent voice, tinged with a hint of laughter, reached her, like it was stained in blood, reeking with the stench of blood.

"Got sand all over someone’s body and not planning to apologize?"

The man’s gaze seemed to linger on her. "I heard that pregnant women who don’t know etiquette give birth to ill-mannered children. Miss, are you planning to raise a disrespectful child?"

"I’m sorry!"

Stunned by his voice, Ivy realized she had forgotten to apologize and immediately said, "I didn’t do it on purpose, please forgive me!"

Her intuition told her that this stranger in front of her was not someone to mess with, but she had unwittingly gotten into trouble with him already.

"So..." The man hesitated over the best way to address her, finally settling on, "What does the lady have in mind as an apology?"

At his words, Ivy’s heart skipped a beat.

She had no impression of the man in front of her, who was clearly Asian but not from Eastland. It was unlikely that anyone would make such a fuss over a little sand accident, especially at a beach where playing with sand was the norm. For him to take it this seriously, he must have an ulterior motive.

And if a man like that took an interest in a pregnant woman, there could only be one possibility: either he was working for Calvin Gordon or had a grudge against Michael Gordon.

This realization prompted Ivy to become more cautious: "What would you like me to do to ask for your forgiveness?"

She wanted to know what the man wanted and what danger she faced!

"What does the lady have to offer?" The man’s eyes remained fixed on Ivy’s belly, a sharp gaze that seemed as though he could penetrate her abdomen. "What can you give me as an apology?"

Ivy shrugged her shoulders and spread her empty hands: "It seems I have nothing to offer you as an apology, other than this insignificant mouth!"

With that, she said once again, "I’m sorry; I didn’t do it on purpose. Please, sir, be magnanimous and forgive me!"

Having made a mistake, Ivy was willing to apologize. She had always been clear about where she stood: apologize when she was wrong and never concede when she was right. No matter the reason or how small the issue, the person at fault was her, so she was willing to apologize.

"So, the lady only wants to say some words as an apology?"

The man stared into her eyes and advanced towards her step by step, his gaze becoming more and more oppressive. "That seems to lack sincerity, doesn’t it?"

The closer he got, the more intensely focused his eyes became, as if trying to bore a hole through Ivy’s face. He had seen her face countless times in photos, but it still amazed him up close under the dim beach light. She was indeed a natural beauty produced by Orchid Kingdom.

Being so openly stared at and approached, Ivy’s courage began to falter: "Yes, I just want to say some words. What else do you expect, a conversation in bed? It’s just a bit of sand on your body. This is a beach, a place for playing with sand. It’s not a big deal. I’ve already apologized. That’s enough to meet the etiquette standards of our people!"

"Sorry, there’s nothing more I can do!"

After saying this, Ivy decisively turned away, only to be stopped by the man’s call. His low, deep voice carried with the help of the sea breeze, raising the temperature slightly but still not to her liking, "Lady, are you leaving in such a hurry because you’re afraid I’ll fall for you?"

Hmph!

Afraid he would fall for her?

This man was bold!

"Do I have a reason to be afraid?" Ivy turned her head and gave him a cold look. In the dim light, her bright eyes were filled with mockery, "Though I have a piece of advice for you, sir. Women can be enticing, but it’s best not to mess with a beautiful woman who’s pregnant because... You can’t afford it!"

"What do you mean?"

Naturally, the man didn’t understand, "Why can’t I afford to provoke a beautiful woman who’s pregnant?"

"It’s simple because she already has a husband!"

Having said that, Ivy walked towards Michael Gordon, who was still on the phone, leaving the man standing there in a daze. He stared at her retreating figure, the corner of his lips curving into a cunning smile.

She had outwitted him!

Interesting!

"Lady, we’ll meet again!"

As Ivy reached Michael, she heard the excited voice of the man behind her. She shuddered, just as Michael ended his call. He reached out to steady her trembling body, his gaze shifting towards the man who was shouting at Ivy from twenty meters away. Michael’s eyebrows furrowed slightly before he asked, "Did he harass you?"

"Probably just attracted by my beauty!"

In front of Michael, Ivy didn’t take it seriously, nor did she mention the hair-raising feeling she had earlier. "After all, your wife has a bit of charm, right?"

"I’ll kill him!"

Michael immediately let go of Ivy and strode towards the man’s retreating figure, but she quickly grabbed his wrist.

"What nonsense! There are so many people in the world who like your wife. Are you going to kill every one of them?"
