Chapter 318: The Falling Star

Feeling his burning gaze, Xiao Hua looked up, "Is there something wrong?"

Long Haoran didn’t avert his gaze when he got caught. Instead, the corner of his lips upturned and asked maintaining the same gaze, "What do you like for dinner?"

At the mentioned of food, all of those cumbersome thoughts disappeared in her mind, Chunhua immediately said, "I’ll eat whatever you make Chef Long. All the food you cook is extremely delicious." If her punch could reconstruction someone’s memories, then Chef Long’s food

The smile in Long Haoran’s eyes deepened and he added out of nowhere startling Chunhua. "Then, besides the food I cooked, what else do you like about me?"

Chunhua froze before thinking.

Oh that’s the easy question!

"You’re a good guy, Chef Long. Your future wife will be blessed. If you hold wedding in the future, I’ll give you lots of red packets." Chunhua had a slight pause in the middle because of the dream she recalled. She tapped Chef Long’s waist with her elbow and resuming her walk.

Red packets? Good Guy?

Haoran maintained his smile and hid his thoughts.

The trip to find the last high-quality seafood and take the trident was pushed ahead of schedule.

Chunhua also planned to check what the Clammy said about the fissures.

"Why can’t we come?" Little Mantou tugged Chunhua’s robe, pouting.

The little ginseng and little lotus were also frowning and insisted on going with them but the three didn’t pass the swimming assessment because they were all land ducklings and in the span of 10 minutes, they only covered a distance of two meters with their doggy paddles, making Li Chunhua dispel the idea of bringing them down.

Even if they rely on her, once something goes wrong, just one wave will washed them to unknown place.

The bangle was hollering in laughter throughout.

The bangle: If I have a body, I can do better than that!

To ease the three’s heart, Haoran gave them food allowance and they didn’t bring up the matter of going down anymore and went back to playing with Aqua and her friends.

"Let’s play tag. Those that are caught have to draw on each other’s face."

"Okay! Okay!" Everyone agreed.

Since the territory didn’t have any kids of their age, the three gluttons weren’t able to enjoy that much.

Li Chunhua also didn’t chastised them and only let them be because once they get back, these three won’t be able to have some leisurely time anymore.

"Sister Baozi, come back safely." Shillo said before handing them each a golem arm. "I have injected it with mana and carved advanced water runes on them. You can fire 5 rounds Level 2 Water magic- Water Blast with it." Shillo scooted closer to Chunhua waiting for praise.

"Really?" Chunhua was stunned and checked out the golem arm immediately. Upon seeing the description, [Modified Golem Arm Portable Water Cannon (Non-specialized)-Loaded with 5...]

This is even better than the one-time consumable items. Li Chunhua carefully stored it inside her inventory before giving the compliments the girl deserved.

Shillo grinned and leaned in Chunhua’s ears, whispering. "If you happened to find some interesting stuffs, bring them back Sister Baozi."

"Alright, I will." Chunhua promised. Shillo’s request was not too much. The problem is her inventory slots. Even after filling up the several storage rooms of the ship, only 5 were left.

Chunhua wonder if how many players have been inconvenienced by the limited slots.

If the other players were to ever hear the local tyrant’s thoughts they would probably vomited blood from envy. Apart from her, there’s probably no one else who’s able to make their inventory full at current situation.

Even those powerhouses couldn’t catch up.

What made the players suffer mostly from the current system patch was the spoilage date of the food items.

This was where the older generation or those knowledgeable in the area stepped in and made another round of wealth.

Some teams either hired the others to teach them or made the other lone players pickle, dry, salting, fermenting, and smoking their vegetables and meat.

Those players without enough salt, chose the cheapest one- drying.

While those that didn’t have vinegar, went to look for citrus fruits around their territories as the alternatives.

Most of the territories were filled with distinct scent and smoke emitted by the meat hung on the bamboo drying racks.

And the trade market was filled with the preserved good, home-made vinegar, and some materials used for the current situation.

Player Hua and her husband stayed up all night and only rest when they experienced fatigue before resuming their business.

In the end, they managed to make 15 jars of pickled radish, cabbage, and papaya. They reserved 1 of each variety for Baozi, sold 5 in the market for construction materials, and stored the rest for themselves to enrich their future meals.

Having been taught by his deceased wife, Green Thumb was among those who made a bit of fortune and also passed over his teaching to Miao Miao and his natives who wished to learn the craft.

Baozi was quite generous and whenever he wanted to trade something, the other side directly sent the things without raising the price and stating any other difficult conditions.

Quite different from other players Green Thumb often encountered in trading, acting high and mighty and quote daylight robbery prices for products that are basically of lower quality that the ones Baozi sold.

"When will we able to eat them Grandpa Qian?" Miao Miao asked, licking her lips. Her days with Grandpa Qian were the best days of her life. Her Master spoiled her like his own daughter and was never stingy with food, making Miao Miao very fond of Grandpa Qian.

"At least 3-4 days. In the meantime, we can eat fresh vegetables." Grandpa Qian answered before separating 4 jars from the rest.

"What are you going to do with those, Grandpa Qian?" Miao Miao curiously asked again.

"It’s for Baozi. He helped us a lot especially in treating your fatal injuries back then. We need reciprocate the gratitude." Grandpa Qian explained before trying to send the jars to Baozi only for the system to return them and notifying him that the other player was unavailable.

"Then I’m going to hunt more game for him. Miao Miao’s injuries are already healed." Miao Miao supported the idea and quickly suggested.

"Sure, we can also make jerkies with the meat and sausage too."

Miao Miao and the other natives didn’t know what jerkies and sausage are but they knew that all that Grandpa Qian made are delicious. They immediately nodded and after storing the jars in Grandpa Qian’s vacuum space inventory, assigning patrol guards and resting for the night.

After the second summon, Grandpa Qian was able to gain 6 abled-bodied combatants, 2 with profession and the rest were just regular hunters and support unit folks.

The harvest from the tide also helped him complete the construction of the other buildings Basic Alchemy Room where can he improve the quality of his medicines. As for the last territory building, he hadn’t decided yet.

Temporary Salted Fish Camp.

"Falling Star!"

"I didn’t expect to see one here!"

Siri heard the commotion the female residents made and looked up. For some reason, he couldn’t bring himself to admire.

Only a few people, those still awake noticed the blinding comet-like light ascending to the sky that could be seen even with the barrier separating the new game map from rest of the planet’s locked areas and thought it was a falling star.
