Ron watched the familiar figure from the apartment building and the ancestral tales of King Nephim and King Limnad battling in the sea resurfaced in his mind.

"Ron, we got to leave, now." Rita came out with other halfing and nymphs covered in robes and wearing long sleeves and long pants, crouching down causing Ron to snap out from his reverie.

"Wait up." Ron entered his apartment and opened the cupboards and kitchen cabinets.

Rita was shocked but still wore the belt and lead everyone one while providing support.

When debris is falling, they blasted them to pieces ensuring the safety of everyone.

"Keep up." Ron said before telling carrying Aqua on his back.

"What is happening Grandpa?" Aqua saw the ruined buildings and became afraid and so were other children.

"Do you remember the game we played before? Close your eyes sweetie and count until 100 and I’ll give a surprise." Though confused Aqua trusted her Grandpa Ron and followed his words. "1...2...3..."

Loud sound akin to a thunderclap resounded, a section of three-story building collapsed.

The armed halflings aimed at it and blasted the debris into pieces.

"What was that?" Aqua’s gripped her grandfather’s tightly disturbed by the noises.

"Nothing. Trust Grandpa." Ron patted the child’s hand gently. Aqua’s expression relaxed.

Thalassa also run while dragging her kin.

One of the debris nearly succeeded in hurting the group but strangely it missed them at the end.

Ron frowned but decided to think about of it later.

As the group were near to the exit, they encountered groups of evacuees.

"This way is blocked. It’s full of fire. One group tried to climb over but got killed by explosions."

It must be because of some machines overheating or the fire reached the active pipes used for cooking.

"The only way is behind His Majesty Dranax but we can’t get through."

"How about the back?" Ron was referring to the south.

The halflings shook their heads, "The tank in the arena broke and the big guy is on the loose. Anyone who attempted to use the south gate to flee to the neighbouring islands was eaten."

Rita and the rest were astonished.

"What about the ships?" Ron desperately asked.

"There’s no ship. The people on the top said they were dispatched this morning. We’re trapped." The halflings displayed forlorn expressions.

A loud explosion interrupted their conversation.

Ron looked up only to see Dranax getting the upper hand. If he wins, then Aqua and the rest will be screwed. Dranax was known to be harsh to the Nymphs.

The battle between Li Chunhua and the Dranax reached a critical point.

The part where Dranax was located was smashed. Li Chunhua finally saw him after so many failed attempts. She took advantage of the opening and raised her spear shining like the golden sun.

"Surrender or we’ll kill these children halflings." Li Chunhua stopped and turned around, only to see children halflings being held a group of well-dressed halflings with guns. Their fingers were on the trigger ready to blow up the heads of their hostages.

The Halfling children were crying, tears streaming down their faces.

And behind the Halfling were the injured Adult Haflings with cuts and bruises everywhere. Among them were the Old Hospital Dean and Professor, sprawled all over weakly.

Dranax was taken aback and looked at the direction Li Chunhua was looking at.

Thalassa and the nymphs wearing cloak stayed behind, and hid.

Thalassa sensed something and looked at the red river fifty meters away. It was rising and the red water crawled to the land and continued to rise. Her eyes narrowed. Who is it?

Suddenly the water in the river crawled on the walls of the buildings, the streets and bypassed them and rushed behind Dranax.

Spotting Ron’s group while in mid-air, Li Chunhua turned to the children and the group as her eyes glowed blue and gold.

"You’re wrong. I just drank a grape juice last night." Li Chunhua replied in a serious face, and lunged forward with her raining her spear, wind, water, and lightning surrounded her form.

The waves engulfed water bounded Dranax extinguishing all his fire magic circles the high water energy level in the air.

"It can’t be-" The tide swallowed Dranax’s scream as he burst into pieces by the spear strike and returning the receding silence as the wave retreated revealing the remnants of the big golem.

Li Chunhua landed on the top of the wall under the astonished gazes of the Halfling survivors and Nymphs’s excited stares.

Thalassa eyed the small, thin figure.
