Chapter 303: Sea Warriors uses fists!
"Have you seen anything yet?" The Boss Halfling looked around but no matter which direction he faces there was only endless red sea and no shadow of a blue ship.
"None Boss." The four halflings standing behind the scopes didn’t spot the target of the operation.
Each pyro ship sailed 200 meters apart and used its fastest speed to cover the distance of 10 miles in less than 30 minutes.
The Boss Halfling wiped off the sweat from his forehead and neck.
The Steam from the funnels and the temperature in the sea made him very uncomfortable and his underlings were also having the same sentiments as him.
10 million, 10 million...
After this trip, he’ll be a rich guy...
Dranax’s Mage Apprentices standing on the edge of the bows were also making their own exploration and its range was 4 times greater than the 60 meters of the scope.
Suddenly a shadow was cast on the decks. This was strange considering that the skies in this world couldn’t produce clouds anymore after the first fire storm.
The mages looked up quickly and their eyes widened at the oncoming rushing waterfall. The mages quickly raised their magic staffs and chanted a spell covering the whole ship.
Magic Circles made of Fire element appeared above preventing the water fall from landing on the Pyro Ships.
A sharp whistling sound akin to that one the kettle made when the water boils entered the other halflings’ ears when the water fall clashed with the magic circles.
Sparks flew and the magic circle where being pushed back.
The mage reinforced another layer of magic circles before chanting a counterattack spell.
The hems of their robes flapped while their lips muttered an incantation in Halfling language and spiralling tongues of flames extinguished the water falls.
The magic circles disappeared with the Mage’s command.
The Boss halfling and his underlings only reacted and they all looked up and couldn’t get a clear sight of the enemy.
The Halfling mages realized they were in big trouble because due to the short exchange, the mist turned into a dense white fog surrounding the ships.
They quickly dispersed the fog by launching fire balls and through the gaps one could see the sky was full of water balls, arrows and stones wrapped in water descending down at the ships at a rapid speed.
The Mages’ bloodshot eyes hiding under the veil narrowed eyeing the blue ship in the sky full of nymphs. Their Master’s important order replayed in their ears.
’Capture the rest and kill the Oceanid’s Successor. I saw her in the stone hindering us from escaping this place’.
"Release the golems!" The Mages issued the order before buffing themselves with Halfling blessings.
The Boss Halfling and the halflings did what they told and yanked the chains off. The eyes of the golems lit up and the runes in their body lit like the lava veins flowing from the volcano’s mouth and one by one stood and rose steadily to the sky.
The mages and other halflings’ attacks wouldn’t be able to reach the ship if they stayed at the sea.
The halflings already knew that this batch had a hatch on their chest allowing Halfling to operate them. Thus each one hopped onto one golem including the three mages.
In the Nymphs’ ship, Shivani, Shillo, and Shana were spearheading the attack and when they saw the Halfling ship carrying golems, they didn’t hesitate to target it.
Because of Rule no 3. Arguments are for scholars. We sea-warriors used fists!
Interrogation comes after!
"Warriors assemble!" Shillo and Shana both grinned and quickly carried over the newly developed surfing suit.
Not only the halflings had golems.
The mages who were confident in succeeding in their job was stunned at seeing the numerous flying golems with the limbs from stone and golden golems and body made of water jumped out of the ship one by one.
The Halflings: Is this the right targets? Are these really the nymphs they knew?
---
"Slow down, we need to find her first." Long Haoran patted a part of the Dragon’s neck while saying these words.
The Hatchling Karmic Dragon understood Haoran’s words and visibly slowed down.
Behind him, Little Mantou ate some food containing buff before cutting off the chains off the nymphs’ limbs and necks.
"Thank you." The nymphs full of bruises and wounds said weakly before securing the ropes around their waists preventing them from falling off the dragon’s back.
"Ji ji ji." (Sister, come held out your hand.)
The nymphs didn’t understand little ginseng’s words until the little guy hopped onto their laps and placing its rooting arms above their wounds.
When they saw the wounds healed, they finally realized its intentions and gave it a warm peck and pat. "Thank you." In the darkest days of their lives in the hands of the halflings, this moment was the only time they felt happy.
From atop, the nymphs saw the devastation caused by the tank getting smashed.
Because the Arena is near the Wealthy District, the area was also flooded. The overall water in the exhibition tank was more than 35900 metric tons equivalent to 12 Olympic pools to house the Bluefin tuna.
And without of the tank restricting its movements, the Bluefin tuna who was always starved and never got enough food regarded all the Halfling spectators inside as a prey.
Its massive teeth chomp after chomp, the water turned bloodier with its hunting in the waters.
The halflings swam and scrambled away trying to avoid the jaws of the big monster.
If they were not recued, no doubt the ones ending up in the Bluefin stomach will be them.
Those going out for a stroll in the streets and the steam punk themed transportation located in the Wealthy District were washed away and everyone living in the lower floors climbed to the upper floors.
"Where did all this water come from?"
"Move out of the way!"
After the tank was smashed, Long Haoran quickly activated his flight skill and rescued the three, along with the halflings.
