"And that’s how Aqua came to be." Uncle Ron finished narrating the love story of Aqua’s Halfling Father and Nymph Mother full of obstacles, sacrifices, difficulties, and death.

Aqua’s father named Ronel was originally a worker in the arena, in charge of cleaning the cells were the lowest level Nymphs were held.

These nymphs with little water power where categorized as low quality goods and were used as betting subjects for entertainment.

Watching these nymphs getting maltreated for nonsensical reasons, Ronel would sneak some water for these nymphs through a special canteen his Father invented.

And when Shelly saw his bruised state, she was overwhelmed with pity and went against his will, draining her remaining powers to heal him.

Afterwards she suffered a fever that couldn’t be cured by water alone. Ronel was filled in guilt blaming his self and told the Arena Director to treat Shelly, but it seems he brought more harm than good.

The Director actually decided on putting Shelly on the ring the next day.

Ronel was so angry that he almost killed the Arena Director but was stopped by the guards.

He was dismissed from the job and sent home heavily injured. In his fervent wishes to rescue Shelly, the Heavens might have heard it and sent a fire storm to their island. It caused panics to the Halfling and everyone found cover prompting even the arena guards to search for a safe place.

Back then, the Halfling city was only developing and the defense facilities was incomplete and there was no barrier yet. The fire storm caused so much damage to properties and left casualties.

Ronel took advantage of the situation and bravely endured the burns wounds to free Shelly and the other nymphs from the cages and lead them to his Father Ron’s apartment.

Ron was afraid for the safety of his only son and vehemently refused to his plan to shelter the nymphs but Ronel was very stubborn and held his grounds telling Ron the fates of the nymphs if he left them in the arena would be death.

Ron couldn’t persuade him no matter what and decided to cover for his son and build an underground safe shelter for the nymphs with the help of Rita and some neighbors who were indebted to them.

And after a year of Ron and Shelly living together, Aqua came.

The other nymphs also found true love and gave birth to Nymph halflings.

In the end, because someone had ratted them out because of the reward, Shelly and Ron had to sacrifice in order for Aqua to live.

If this was someone’s story, it would no doubt turn into a documentary captivating millions of audiences.

There was a sound of someone bitterly crying serving as a musical accompaniment to Ron’s narration. Several times, Ron had to stop because of the cries.

"Hic...hic...hic..." Li Chunhua’s eyes were streaming down with tears. She can only manage to hold on in the middle and couldn’t listen anymore to the stories with triple drama tags of #tear-jerking, #bitter sweet and #tragic.

Ron was taken aback. The girl’s crying was unexpected. If people didn’t know that they were totally unrelated, people would have thought that she was the daughter instead of Aqua.

Because of Li Chunhua, Ron became a bit emotional too and crystal tears dropped from the corner of his eyes. He stood up, excused his self, trying to hide his embarrassment.

Long Haoran took some clean fabric in his inventory and wiped her tears. "It’s all in the past." He coaxed her.

Li Chunhua took fabric from Chef Long’s hands and did the wiping on her own.

"You must be hungry. Here is some roasted carp fish." A Female Halfling wearing an apron approached them carrying a plate with steaming red skinned fish sliced diagonally sprinkled with some kind of peppery chopped chile and soaked in red sauce.

The rich spicy smell was overpowering and amazing at the same time. Li Chunhua swallowed her saliva couldn’t wait to dig in. "Thank you Auntie..."

"It’s Rita." Rita said as Li Chunhua’s puffy eyes lingered on her face, probably wanting to ask her name.

Li Chunhua nodded. A kind Auntie gave her food. Hi hi hi.

"Wait a minute." Long Haoran tasted it first and secretly took a peek at his stats when it didn’t give him any de-buff, his expression visibly relaxed and he gave the plate to Li Chunhua.

"I could only wrong you today." He knew the portion was not enough for her. He will cook for her later when they’re alone. Conjuring foods that aren’t available in this place might attract unwanted attention.

The apology came like a whisper in Li Chunhua’s ears.

"Don’t worry Chef Long, I understand." Li Chunhua flashed him a smile.

The female Halfling wasn’t offended either and only smiled when she saw Long Haoran’s cautious action, reminding her of her caring husband. She walked away, leaving the two, and walked towards a small nymph.

Through their sensitive hearing, the two could hear the small nymph calling the Female Halfling ’Auntie’.

"Chef Long, let’s eat together." Li Chunhua didn’t look at them anymore and tugged Chef Long’s sleeves. Although, the fish wasn’t enough for her, it would not good for her to eat alone, while Chef Long watches.

"I’ve already eaten." He spoke before taking out a parchment tied by a thin hemp rope with a butterfly knot on the top, from inside his sleeves.

Li Chunhua remembered the convenient portable restaurant Chef Long possessed and didn’t insist anymore.

"Although, the spice is a bit too much but the fish is very tender. The skin is also crispy." The fish only lasted for a minute under Li Chunhua’s eating speed. "What is it? Is there something on my face?" Li Chunhua asked because Chef Long was staring at her.

"For you." Long Haoran handed her the parchment.

"For me?" Li Chunhua placed the plate down and opened the parchment under a certain someone’s eyes.

Her eyes saw the system descriptions and it scanned on Long Haoran’s Hanfu and shoes. "You sewed this Chef Long?"

Long Haoran slowly nodded, something flickered in his eyes perceiving her pure joy and opened his interface, secretly lifting the corner of his lips.

"I was going to ask the Aunties for this, Chef Long. You don’t how much I wanted this set. Thank you so much Chef Long."

"Auntie, look at what they’re doing."

"Grandpa, that big sister and big brother is hugging."

Ron and Rita let the two turn around. "You’re too young to watch that. Let’s play instead."

A sudden hug sent Haoran to the floor. He lifted his eyes and saw Xiao Hua sitting on his waist cradling the clothes in her hands.
