Death...Death...Death...Death...Death...

The word was in red glowing font.

Li Chunhua: "..." Isn’t this supposed to be said before she have taken the blood? The vial also didn’t have any label for warning. If this was an ordinary consumer product, no doubt it will be swamped with customers’ complaints and be sued in the court.

The players in the novel didn’t received the same notification. Why does she always get some kind of ’special’ treatment?

She was suddenly nervous and braced herself by taking out the bandages and preparing the first aid skill for the so-called side effects.

Li Chunhua waited for the pain to come and it came in large waves washing over her.

But it only happen in a second because she felt a soothing energy filling inside her.

[Gourmet Devourer Special skill- Everything can be digested is activated.]

Li Chunhua was surprised. Is this a hidden feature? The system did say she had to explore.

Three skills above S...Not bad...

Li Chunhua ate the roasted eel never knowing that what indeed the system said was true. She just escaped death because taking a blood from the specie belonging upper race without undergoing alchemy will lead to death if the body’s compatibility was low.

What about this [Odysseus Dream Magic Mirror-Legendary Grade]?

Li Chunhua took out the mirror from her inventory.

[Advance Appraisal Skill Activated]

[-Need Mana to activate. Allows the user to see you what a glimpse of your Future.]

My Future?

Li Chunhua was surprised.

So it was a time-attribute item and has a foreseeing ability...

Among the items, it is extremely difficult to encounter an item of same ability. The protagonist got ahold of one but it was in the Halfling Map and she recalled its name was ’Eye of Horus’?

Though it only gave him a second of foresight, but a second of predicting the enemy’s move during battle is already very powerful.

But how much exactly further future is this mirror capable of reading?

Li Chunhua inserted mana for a minute but the mirror didn’t activate. Another five minutes passed, but the mana didn’t seem to be enough.

An hour later, the mirror seems to be a fake. Li Chunhua gave up and decided to sleep while thinking of Salted Fish Territory. Gradually, she fell asleep.

The mirror on her bedside table emitted light engulfing the whole room.

Li Chunhua stirred in her sleep, feeling her bed was a bit uncomfortable, especially on the bum area. She opened her eyes.

She saw red gauze covering her sight. "What is this? Did Shivani or Shillo came in and put over a blanket on me?" She mumbled before pulling it off and noticed something under her palm.

She lifted the blanket.

Dried longans, lotus seeds, red dates, persimmons, nuts were scattered on the red silk. Though the space was a bit dark, she had no problem identifying them.

She gathered them on her hand and tossed them into her mouth. This made her palette which was destroyed by roasted eel slowly recovering. "Who put these in here?"

"And what’s up with my bed? When did it upgraded? It was clearly the skin of the eel I piled up. Hold on what’s that smell?" Li Chunhua sniffed picking up the delicious scents and when she was certain it was coming from outside, she stood and swept the red curtain to the side.

The room was decorated with writings, poems signifying eternal happiness and there were red papers with the mandarin word ’Double Joy’. Li Chunhua finished the chicken leg first before commenting, "What a strange gig this restaurant has. It’s actually roleplaying a wedding."

Well as long as the food tasted good, she has no bad reviews. She occupied the seat and admired the food on the table. Braised pork, Braised chicken, rice, sweet and spicy fish fillets, osmanthus cake...

Li Chunhua grabbed another braised chicken leg and moaned. "This taste like what Chef Long cooks."

Suddenly, the sound of the door creaking entered her ears. She lifted her eyes and saw someone came in.

It was Chef Long dressed in wide sleeve red brocade Hanfu with gold linings. It was embroidered in gold threads forming a dragon soaring.

His hair was gathered in a high bun gathered in a white jade crown, neatly combed. The tip of the pair of red boots official court official would wore exposed a little with his every step.

He had the usual signature look but a small smile crept onto his lips when he saw her eating on the table. Narrowed eyes with its edges creased had a trace of visible gentleness.

Li Chunhua’s chewing slowed down. Why does Chef Long look like he was a groom in a wedding? "Chef Long, did you get married? Who’s the bride? Come let us have a toast and eat the feast." The question slipped out of her mouth a second after before her hand reached for one of the small jade cups on the table.

However, Chef Long didn’t answer and went behind her and the tiny bell like sounds drifted into her ears. He was doing something with her hair.

Not a moment later, Chef Long placed a phoenix crown on the table. Li Chunhua stopped chewing and raised her hand to her hair and felt a lot of pins sticking.

Li Chunhua turned around and saw a large mahogany bed painted with red lacquer intricately carved with auspicious cloud patterns. Its bed frames made of rosewood had an ornate phoenixes and dragons designs.

Red silk curtains were hung over the canopy and there were papers cut into the characters ’Happiness’.

She stood up and looked at what she was wearing. It was brocaded red dress with having the same design with Chef Long’s.

The situation finally sunk in and her face contorted in horror at her outrageous and bold dream.

Chef Long’s face slowly leaned in, his eyelashes fluttered closing in the distance between them before uttering her name in the softest tone, "Xiao Hua..."

Li Chunhua screamed before slapping her cheeks. "Ahh!" How dare she dream about this kind of thing?

----

"Champion?"

"Sister Baozi?"

The two sisters tapped Li Chunhua’s shoulders making the latter woke up from the nightmare.

Li Chunhua was drenched in cold sweat and quickly sat down, inspecting the room, the bed and the table. When there was not a trace of any red, she calmed down.

That was embarrassing. She should never tell anyone about this, especially Chef Long.

The two sisters were concerned for her and asked.

"It was nothing." She replied as her eyes subsequently landed on the mirror which the two sisters didn’t seemed to see.

The two sisters retreated to their rooms after they were certain the Champion was alright.

Li Chunhua didn’t want to sleep any more, afraid she will have the same dream again or maybe even worse.

She got out of the bed and looked at the mirror. It was her first time dreaming of something else other than food. Could it be because of this?

But she couldn’t see anything wrong with it.

She stored it back in her inventory before going upon the decks. Nymphs were patrolling around. It was still dawn, roughly at 4:00 am. Since she couldn’t slepp might as well use the time to do something else.

"Pearly." She called.

The King Clam: What is it? It’s not even morning yet.

Li Chunhua jumped and landed atop of its shell. "You told me before that you know the location of the Sorcerer’s Island and you also told me the big guys were working there. Maybe we can find the King Crab or King Lobster, your bullies in the vicinity?"

Additionally, Shivani said that the island is built above the throne room. Maybe they can hit three birds with one stone. She couldn’t make a thorough investigation and exploration because her water breathing skill had a time limit but now, she had all the time in her hands.

The King Clam: You’ve got a point.

The two went into the direction of the Sorcerer’s island. Because of Li Chunhua’s newly gained skills, crossing 40 miles was only less than ten minutes.

They stopped when they saw the shadows flickering with orange lights of the ship sailing in the distance.

The King Clam: Looks like they’re about to make another shipment.

To go unnoticed, they dove down 200 meters below sea level bypassing several ships. It was going well until Li Chunhua sensed marine life patrolling around.

Since the clam’s sheer size was very conspicuous, it volunteered to stay and parked its shell on the ocean floor.

Li Chunhua activated her Underwater Stealth and sneakily slipped.

Huge Fishes with scales in different colors and sizes swam near. Thankfully, they didn’t seem to sense her.

She swam following the bottom of the ship. They come to and from one particular direction. She only stopped when she saw an island or rather islands.

After her ascend, she stuck herself on the bottom of one ship heading for the docks.

"What is that? That doesn’t look like those blue-skinned monsters."

"I don’t know. We found it floating 30 miles away from here. I thought he was dead and since His Majesty Dranax likes to collect corpse, then how about we exchange him for a reward?"

Li Chunhua listened to their conversation and was curious. When she wanted to take a peek, all she saw was an outline of a human being with long black hair. She was wet all over and seemed to be unconscious. She was carried by short creatures. She couldn’t see their appearance because they were covered from head to toe.

But...

[Halfling Level 78]

[Halfling Level 82]

[Halfling Level 88]

Halflings? Aren’t they supposed to be in another map?

Li Chunhua was shocked and frowned.

Confirming it wasn’t Chef Long, she was about to go to another island when she heard another conversation. "Who among the blue-skinned monsters is fighting in the arena tonight? I want to see."

Arena? Blue-skinned monsters?

Could it be they’re referring to nymphs?

"What so good about seeing those slaves fight? How about we go to the gambling house instead?"

Slaves?

Li Chunhua stopped and decided to go inside.
