"That settles it. Now everyone should have drawn the lots. Gather near the leaders assigned per direction and each group will take turns to defend." Siri explained.

The final team composition was...

Team Siri: Aunt Su, human natives Philip and Emmanuel, and two of the three brothers, Jun and Cui who picked both warrior classes.

Team Elga: Aunt He, the mage, Ge, another warrior, and the assassin, Fern and raccoon beast man Bree,

Team Li Chunhua: The spear gal, Rioli and another native Esme, Tank Meng Chu, the wolf beastman Chris

Team Long Haoran: Aunt Qie and Aunt Ruan, the Summoner, Archer Glen and another wolf beastman George and the native, Sigmund.

"What about us?" The three gluttons raised their hands.

"You will be assisting everyone. Once a side will have trouble you will rush to aid them." Li Chunhua explained and the three gluttons nodded.

"Before everything else, every group will only be given limited resources: 100 stones and 10 mana recovery potion. Every team’s goals are to kill 35 monsters. It’s up to you how to use the resources." Siri explained before Li Chunhua waved her hand to take out the supplies.

Four boxes 20 pieces of mana recovery potion and four piles of stones appeared in front of them.

-Recovers 15 points of mana points per seconds for a duration of 5 seconds.]

When the crowd saw the bottle full of purple liquid, their eyes were drawn to these.

No need to go back in the huts! With this they can surely kill the monster without any breaks!

The crowd’s confidence boosted.

"Team 1 is up. My group will go first. The rest can be spectators and only watch." Siri said.

Everyone except for Siri, Cui and Jun who went out in the field, climbed the staircase. Those that weren’t included in the Team 1, squeezed on the edges and expressed their wishes of good luck.

"Cui, Jun and Sister Su good luck!" Meng Chu waved his hand.

"Don’t be a coward and fight! I don’t have weak chicken students!" Elga swung her axe and ranted.

Cui and Jun scratched their heads in embarrassment.

"Position yourselves. Aunt Su, Emmanuel, Philip take charge of the ballista and trebuchet. Cover us and remember to be careful not to hit us and aim at where the monsters are most concentrated." Siri shouted, giving his commands.

"Yes, Sir Elf!" The three support units carrying 33 stones each responded.

"I cannot use mana, so I’ll give both of you five each. Use it wisely." Siri handed the potions to the warrior brothers.

"Thank you Siri Elf." Cui and Jun took the potions and stored it inside their inventory.

"Master..." Siri shot Li Chunhua standing on the wall last glance, "If things get awry, lend us a hand."

Li Chunhua gave the Elf thumbs up. "No problem!"

Long Haoran looked at her briefly.

Siri smiled before returning his attention on the field. "Master do it!"

Li Chunhua all plucked the petals of the lotus flower.

[You’ve opened Blood Karmic Lotus’ Gift and acquired Lotus Fragrance.]

A minute later, everyone felt the tremor of the ground before they could hear the monsters’ roars getting near them. Their hearts beat fast.

[One-horned savage Feline Level 3- (HP: 75/75)

[Noxious Crawler Level 3 (HP: 200/200)

[Rammonger Level 5- (HP: 340/340)]

[Rammonger Level 4- (HP: 300/300)]

[Venom Crawlers Level 3- (120/120)]

[One-horned Savage Feline Level 4...]

The initial numbers of monsters were at 20 and its increasing every five seconds.

"Fire the second before they enter the weapons’ range!" Siri shouted to Aunt Su, Philip and Emmanuel.

The three quickly loaded stones on the payload and adjust the direction of the aim with the greatest number of monsters gathered before pulling the payload and once the monsters entered the range, the three let go and released the attacks.

From the top of the wall, the spectator could see the monsters crushed and wounded by the stones. The monsters’ health bars were reduced by a huge chunk prompting most of the spectators including the Team 1 to admire the weapons.

"So cool! I’m going to try it later!"

But the surprises didn’t stop there because on the fourth round of attacks, they noticed the rocks turned to something else.

"Am I seeing candies and ice cream? Or I’m just hungry?" Ge pinched his arms in disbelief.

"I think you aren’t. I can see them too..." Meng Chu stammered in equal shock.

Bam-

Splat-

The monsters hit by the bomb ballista died only two seconds after and those that were in the attack range of the ice cream were screaming in pain, and rolled in ground until they melted, burst into lights and dropping the loots.

"What!"

Li Chunhua rubbed her hands at the copper coins.

War is always the easiest to earn money! Although it was a sad reality, but it was the truth! From just the blueprints alone, she earned so much.

Apart from the weapons, the onlookers could also see the effectiveness of the traps.

A rammonger fell down one of the holes covered by thin layer of soil, was pierced by the stakes and instantly empty its HP by ¼. "Roar!" It cried out and struggle but it couldn’t escape and ultimately die because of the poison.

There were also other unfortunate rammongers who fell down and died. But some of the monsters with whose body weight was lighter and couldn’t trigger the traps escaped safely and rushed to the second layer of defense: the poisonous wire entanglement and trenches.

"Roar!" Some of the agile cat monsters and the snakes were instantly caught.

"Brother Siri made them. He’s so good." Li Chunhua held the Elf on high pedestal after she had seen his efforts in the past few days. "Uncle Rioli and the others too..." Everyone was doing their best and only slept a few hours.

The spectators were surprised again and consciously look at the Elf who was shouting orders.

Long Haoran also gave the Elf a thoughtful gaze. He should consult him later about the poison for his brother.

Despite the consecutive lethal traps, there were still fishes who still slipped out of the net and it was the Cui, Jun and Siri’s job to finish them off.

Cui And Jun held their swords while Siri grabbed his bow and three arrows.

Shua-

The moment a monster manage to cross the trench, three arrows shot and pierced its vital parts.

Cui and Jun were momentarily distracted. Damn! 3 arrows at once!

"Go Brother Siri! Go Brother Siri!" Li Chunhua and the three gluttons cheered from above.

Siri flipped his hair and winked at them.

Glen saw the the precise shots and his inches closer to the edges of cobble stone candies. He wanted to be like that too!

Cui and Jun also exhibited their strength their abilities and progress and easily defeated the monsters coming their way.

"Focus and calculate your attacks as possible. Don’t waste a skill when the monster only has little HP left."

"Aim for the vital parts to trigger critical damage."

"As much as possible, make a safe space to move around and don’t get cornered."

Siri issued his commands while in the midst of killing monsters.

Little by little the spectators gained valuable insight.

The mock battle went on for a total of 4 hours at 3: 56 in the afternoon, everyone except for the cheat were sitting on the large vacant space in the center of the territory, exhausted mentally and physically.

Though Long Haoran didn’t elicit obvious signs of tiredness but his shirt and hair were damped with sweat. One could tell he also had a hard time.

"Good job everyone. Tonight, we’ll take a rest first and tomorrow we’ll have a meeting." Li Chunhua rewarded everyone 300 residents points which brought a smile on the exhausted people’s lips.

Suddenly, a huge screen appeared in the sky with a label above- [Rankings].
