Even there was fatigue de-buff on her personal screen, the female player could sense a small part of her tiredness was gone and from the deduction of strength and agility stats had been adjusted to 9%.

Thrilled by the discovery, the pixie’s words earlier rang in her mind and she run to catch up with the group planning to share the news but because of her agility was affected, she failed to do so.

And after another 4 minutes of running on the track, the (-9%) went back to (-10%), her lungs were burning and she ultimately had to stop and catch her breath.

The female player weakly walked outside the edges of tracks to recover from the fatigue.

"It seems like increasing the stamina was not that easy." But she was not discourage and intended to take a break before sprinting again.

Meng Chu and the others wanted to slow down when they initially saw the female player having difficulties, but Elga shouted mercilessly, "If any of you slow down and is left behind by the group, another 40 laps and 100 push-ups for that person!"

40 laps? 100 push-ups?

The scared participants had no choice but to continue even when their faces were red, their legs were weak, and they were struck by fatigue.

"40 laps and 100 push-ups!" Elga shouted.

Just when one of the player was about to quit, he received the same prompt about the stamina stats.

"This..." His eyes filled with disbelief and shared the piece of news to others causing the rest to persevere and gave it all.

After another 20 minutes, the first round was done, with all participants sprawled on the ground, catching their breaths.

Elga had them rest until the fatigue was gone before leading them to another round. This time, no one complained anymore and became determined.

Apart from the Stamina Stats, some players also discovered another stat- Dexterity.

For mages like her who requires chanting to activate skills, this was great help.

Launching a fireball needs two seconds but due to the dexterity, it was reduced to 95% of the time. If she continued to increase this particular stat, in the future she may be able to launch them at the snap of finger, leaving ’mana’ the only problem.

Not only mages and priest benefited from the new stat, even those archers and closed combat class felt their footwork and reaction time were a bit better than before.

Long Haoran’s chopping skills earned him a round of applause from Li Chunhua.

Every time he was done chopping a vegetable, Xiao Hua would clap her hands. Long Haoran’s calm façade crumbled because of the little fan.

No wonder Chef Long’s food was good! It seems he was a hidden descendant of Bu Fang! Those quick knife moves were so beautiful! Li Chunhua’s mouth was slightly opened in amazement.

Long Haoran quickly finished cutting all before upgrading the ingredients to 2nd-Class.

Long Haoran upgraded the wheat into 2nd-Class before scooping a little flour and was surprised by the consistency of the flour.

There were no tiny lumps as he anticipated. The flour in the five bowls was smooth and powdery in texture, meaning he didn’t need to sift them further and they were ready for use.

Long Haoran cleaned table and placed a new chopping board.

He poured warm water into three of the bowls good for steamed dumplings and potstickers while the bowls were filled with cold water to make wontons wrappers.

Li Chunhua went behind Chef Long and watched attentively as the man used chopsticks to mix the flour and water before he used his hands to knead them.

Long Haoran’s hands became warm and suddenly moved fast.

Li Chunhua only saw Chef Long punching the bowl in fierce consecutive strikes as if he was angry with it but the awesome thing was, the bowl remained intact the whole process! There wasn’t a single crack. Such precise control of strength requires a lot of practice!

And just under 20 seconds, the dough was done. Long Haoran was once again amazed and stared at both of his palms.

Long Haoran placed the dough back on the bowl, cover it with a plate and let it sit for 20 minutes.

Li Chunhua had engraved Long Haoran’s moves and attempted to make dough of her own but she was unable to replicate Chef Long’s perfect dough.

"Chef Long, teach me! Teach me! I want to make beef and pork dumplings too!" Li Chunhua looked at the watery dough in disappointment.

Long Haoran turned his gaze to her bowl and scooped a bit of flour to absorb the excess moisture before guiding her.

Li Chunhua followed his words but everyone had different comprehending ability and even after all his teachings, Li Chunhua wasn’t able to make it. The dough became very tough like rubber unable to bear her strength.

"Where did I go wrong? Are you using a secret technique Chef Long? Do I have to be Bu Fang too?"

"Bu Fang?" Long Haoran asked in bewilderment.

"That Martial Artist who chopped and beat his foes!" Li Chunhua replied and Long Haoran began to imagine her hacking and punching the bowls.

Someone can bake using an axe? Long Haoran’s brows wrinkled at such dangerous method. "Don’t be like Bu Fang."

"Then what do I do?" Li Chunhua frowned.

Long Haoran was silent for a few seconds before he spoke, slightly stuttering. "Give me your hands." This was the only thing he could think of.

Li Chunhua raised her brows. Is Chef Long passing some kind of ancient technique to her? If that’s the case...

She grabbed both of Chef Long’s hands and squeezed them while closing her eyes. "Chef Long, I am ready!"

Long Haoran was startled by her actions.

Li Chunhua opened one of her eyes after remembering something important, "Chef Long, is it painful?" Some rituals were not user-friendly and like to torture people.

Long Haoran’s brain short circuited but he still replied after getting used to her riddled language. "It’s not. Open your eyes."

Li Chunhua’s eyes shot opened. She was expecting Chef Long to bestow her awesome techniques but the man only went behind her, kept a good distance, and whispered. "Release my hands."

Li Chunhua did what she was told.

Long Haoran poured water in her bowl, before placing his hands above her, slightly shaking at first not used to such intimacy, before they gradually settled down.

Clasping Xiao Hua’s hands carefully, Long Haoran slowly moved them, assisting her in kneading and while he did so, he couldn’t help but made a mental remark. Why is her hand so small and boneless...

Li Chunhua imitated Long Haoran’s actions.

"Master."

The door of the kitchen suddenly opened and Siri walked in only witnessed the intimate scene.

Long Haoran and Li Chunhua were a bit late to react and only felt something squeezed between and separated them both.

Mother Hen Siri gave Chef Long a brief death stare. Long Haoran only stared at the Elf.

"Brother Siri, what’s the matter?" Li Chunhua turned around.

Siri sent Long Haoran a warning look not to change his orientation before replying, "I was planning on discussing with you about the defense facilities."

"Oh right, Chef Long, I’ll be back." Li Chunhua bid Long Haoran goodbye before following Siri out of the kitchen.

Long Haoran watched the two disappear and the door being shut before he approached the table looking at the dough still had marks.

Outside the door, Li Chunhua showed the Elf the new defense facilities and weapons. The monster tide is a long battle comprising of four waves with each waves stronger than the last.

And this still were subject to changes depending on the level of difficulty the system will give.

Players need to be strategic as possible.

Monsters of the first wave were the weakest. The warehouse had guns and ammunitions. Li Chunhua was planning to distribute them to be used in the early waves, in order to preserve strength and mana.
