Chapter 151: The Water Army

[Brother Niu]: I’ll buy three barrels! Auntie, give it to me first. My native is nagging me since yesterday because his skin is becoming drier.

[Seafood Noodles]: Give me ten liters. Auntie can you sold it to me first? I’ll give you additional 20% more copper coins.

Player Hua’s inbox was filled with these kinds of messages with players citing their bulk orders because the price was so cheap contrary to other water business wherein a 250 ml 50% sterilized water needed to exchange for one to three units of resources and it’s limited to 10-20 portions per day.

But even so, it was still selling well like hot pancakes, despite players getting stomach ache and diarrhea from drinking it.

Additionally, they were afraid they that she wouldn’t have any left with all the players buying from her so they tried to bribe her with supplies.

Player Hua didn’t get tempted and waited for Baozi’s orders

Drinkable water was precious since some water resources points were contaminated and was not 100% safe and even if she responds a little later this people would be willing.

While, there are also otherwise players who were very cautious and ordered in small amount...

[The Geek]: I want a liter first to check if it’s safe to drink.

[#8950]: Auntie, can you give 10 ml for a sample testing? I’m afraid if your water is going to send me to the bathroom after this.

Apart from these, there were also who wanted to form business with her, while the rest begged her that they were closed to dying from heat stroke and thirst.

[Desert Haze]: I came from Empire of Sands and we wished to form a partnership with you. You provide the water while we provide the distribution channels. 50-50 split.

[Green Meadow]: Please sell it to me first...please...even just 100 ml. My brother badly needs it right now. He only has a sliver of health left. *Status screen showing heat stroke de-buff jpeg.*

Player Hua quickly relayed all these to Baozi.

And Baozi, the Water Tycoon, wasted no time and told her to prioritize the ones with de-buff.

Some players and teams wanted to complain, insisted they’d be serve first but Li Chunhua the professional blacklister had Hua post in the Global Chat.

They thought Hua was a soft persimmon and raised a protest but they were blacklisted without hesitation making the others behaved.

The stomachs of the blacklisted players and teams turned green from regret.

With Long Haoran the salary-less water-filler assistant and Hua, the mediator, the three started their operation.

Somewhere in one of the territories established in Newbie Mountain no. 46 where the current weather forecast is [Dry, 43 Degree Celsius], a girl who’s in her early twenties gripped the plastic water bottles tightly. She gulped her saliva to moisten her parched throat while looking at the glistening water.

[Pure Spring Water (500ml)]

She had exchanged 2 500 ml for 10 copper coins. She wanted to exchange more but since she doesn’t have any containers, she could only settle for this.

She looked at her weak brother at the small screen of [HP: 20/300], [Severe Dehydration], and [Heat Stroke] above his head. Unscrewing the cap, she moistened her brother’s chapped lips with drops of water and she was shocked to see the HP slowly increasing.

And before she can react her Brother was already sitting on his own without her help and his HP bar full. The most astonishing thing was, he only consume a quarter of the 500 ml, 75% less of the requirement to dispel the buff.

"My headache is gone and I feel cool. Sister, hurry up and drink too."

The boy brought closer the water on his sister’s chapped lips. The latter drank and she felt herself refreshed as if she had just bath in a pool of cold water. Her throat was no longer parched and the de-buff of [Slight Dehydration] disappeared just after a single sip.

"Incredible." She mumbled before thanking Hua but the latter wasn’t able to see her message and so the girl chose to repay through another way and it’s to promote the water.

Meanwhile in the Global Chat, the other water filler stations or aka water tycoons who relies on selling contaminated water were not very concerned at first since a resource point will have its daily limit but as time passed by they noticed that Player Hua still had water even when she already sold more than 50 barrels, thus, they became antsy and hired a ’water army’

(A/N: Water army is another term for bashers)

The water army rolled their sleeves and was about to unleash a sea-full of bad rainbow farts to interrupt Hua’s business but before they could even speak a single word, countless testimonies of players flooded the chat.

[Green Meadow]: Thank you Player Hua. My brother and I instantly recovered from the water and now we can resume building the cellar.

Some of the water army tried to counterattack but they gained a water army too and these water armies that seem to taste the ultimate water elixir were more vigorous and verbally chopped the hired water armies into 180 cuts, leaving them tongued-tied.

The water tycoons could do nothing but wait for Hua to run out but after an hour, the other side showed no signs of it and this affected their businesses. They dropped their prices into 2 units but still no customer steeped forward. Then to 1 unit in extreme reluctance but only one or two popped up saying they needed it to wipe their butts.

The water tycoons with zero sales tried to seek their past customers whom they gave stomach problems but all they received were cold shoulders.

Helpless and angry, they logged out the chat.

Hmph! Let see how you crawl and beg back and when that time comes I’ll increase the price by four times!

However, not all businessmen were suffering a decline in their sales. Those that were making cured monster skin water pouch sealed with a wood cork, clay pots, wooden barrels, dried and refurbished calabash gourds, and bamboo water bottles, got their hands full with the massive orders.

When the time hit [5:30 p.m.], the three finally stopped selling water.

Li Chunhua checked her money, [Copper coins: 678,345]. She did a mental calculation. "I earned 6 gold coins today. Chef Long, I’ll treat you to an inn. Let’s eat until there’s no tomorrow!"

Inn? Shouldn’t it be a restaurant?

Long Haoran’s eyes glided on the inn-less mountain top.

Li Chunhua realized that it too and rephrased her words.

"I earned 6 gold coins today. Chef Long, you’ll treat me. Let’s eat until there’s no tomorrow!"

Long Haoran: "..." He wasn’t even paid and he was the one who gets to treat her?

Li Chunhua realized that her words was wrong again and rephrased it once more.

"I earned 6 gold coins today. Chef Long, I’ll cook..." Li Chunhua’s mouth was covered by a hand.

"Me cook." Long Haoran who didn’t want to end up getting poisoned, interrupted her words.

The foodie’s eyes shone and nodded immediately.

[Score board of unintentional scamming: Long Haoran: 1, Li Chunhua: 1]

The two entered the territory with someone listing her request for the night’s celebratory feast since they got a lot of porky meat. Surprisingly, the man listened with patience as the feminine voice laced with happiness drifted to his ears. Oddly enough, in her company, he sometimes forget that this was a cruel game.

Player Hua received another batch of supplies from Baozi and it included a bucket worth of ice which she planned to use at the very last moment when the temperature is in the highest peak.

The 2 meter in height, 3 meter in width, and 5 meter in length cellar was successfully built under the basic hut residence.

Her husband had the natives assembled the floor with wooden planks with an inch gap in between on the cellar’s floor.

The eight figures including Hua rested inside after cooking their dinner. They drank their share of pure spring water and exhaled sighs of comfort.

Long Zurui also received a bucket from his brother and former quickly sent Long Haoran a long love letter.

Li Chunhua was not aware that her money-making business saved a lot of lives.

She was also not aware the system’s tests were changing because of the continuous abnormal activities in the game.

All she knew that she was going to be eating Hotpot tonight!

(Little Baozi: I’m so sad. I missed my scheduled time in publishing because of my unstable network and my pay will be a lot less. We, new authors rely on bonuses.(´._.`) Anyways, life must continue. ( ꈍᴗꈍ))

(Little Baozi: Thank you for the lovely gifts mischeng_2044 and Rome_Ulie.)
