Chapter 148: Dharma Fumigation Spell
Long Haoran remained quiet but his eyes glided on the middle-aged man, observing him.
"Two." Meng Chu unconsciously replied.
"Looks like you’re already recovered." Li Chunhua replied before standing up, stretching her muscles. "Chef Long, we better hurry up. I need to return to the territory in an hour and a half."
Long Haoran stood up, patted his knees before following the woman. He still needed to find the two minerals for the pesticides.
Meng Chu realized that he hadn’t expressed gratitude. He sprang to his feet, chased after the two before giving them a bow. "Thank you so much. I don’t have any supplies at the moment but if I return to the territory, I’ll send you all of it."
"It’s okay, Uncle." Li Chunhua waved her hand preventing the man from bowing again.
Long Haoran stayed quiet. His speech was disoriented at the moment.
Meng Chu still gave a few more bows until the two were several meters away.
He then checked his chat interface wanting to ask if the three young men were alright but when he read through the messages sent by Aunt He and the others, Meng Chu’s face changed. He gritted his teeth and chased again the two benefactors.
"Miss, please help me!"
Li Chunhua and Long Haoran both looked at the man.
"What is it?"
"There’s a boss..."
Li Chunhua quickly bypassed the middle-aged man when she heard the ’boss’ word. No...she didn’t hear anything.
But Meng Chu became persistent and clutched on her leg. The scene where Gong Panli begged for her help back then repeated.
"Miss, please..."
Long Haoran’s eyes darkened and yanked the man off. This woman had no responsibility to save every human she came across.
Meng Chu couldn’t compete with Long Haoran’s strength and was pulled off effortlessly. "Me..." Long Haoran couldn’t continue what he was about to say finding the curse striking again.
Meng Chu’s grave expression made Li Chunhua sighed. "Why is there a boss near your territory? Did you offend it somehow?"
Meng Chu seeing that there is hope, shook his head and recounted the event that took place and mentioned how the boss was asking him about the two humans who ventured deep in the Forbidden Zones and killed more than half of its descendants.
As Meng Chu narrated, he couldn’t help but glanced at Li Chunhua and Long Haoran, faintly realizing something.
Don’t tell me it’s them?
Li Chunhua and Long Haoran also looked at each other. So they were the reason for the appearance of the bosses?
This time, Li Chunhua couldn’t turn away and bitterly spoke, "Where is the boss and its name?"
"Queen Bloodsucking Mosquito..."
"I remembered I still have something to do..."
"Miss!"
"Alright. Alright, don’t shout." Li Chunhua’s face had cramps. Why is so hard to earn money? "Lead the way!" She added before taking a step towards yet another unsalted fish route.
Long Haoran stopped her, "You...don’t go...Me make pesticide first."
"Me...that’s a good idea." Li Chunhua’s eyes lit up.
Meng Chu also looked at Long Haoran with hope.
"Me find minerals first..." Long Haoran spoke in reluctance.
"Oh...me...help you. Me...I mean I’ll help you Chef Long." Li Chunhua changed her wordings nearly influence by the fake sheep language. This is deadly. She took a step back afraid she’ll be infected.
"..." Long Haoran somehow didn’t want to talk anymore but since he had also wanted to test the pesticide formula, he took out his notebook and opened the page he wrote down the description of the minerals.
With the notebook as a guide, the three searched for ten minutes. Because most of the trees were burned and the monsters escaped the forest, their journey was smooth with only a few popping. Long Haoran took care of them with his slapping routine astonishing Meng Chu.
He realized that compared to these two, they were leagues behind. The disparity was so huge. Not to mention that woman...
Wait, could it be that among these two is Anonymous Player?
"I found them." Li Chunhua said looking at the cave with her enhanced vision. The strong smell of sulfur invaded her nose. She blocked her sense of smell with qi.
[Mulfur]
[Kaolin Stone]
Long Haoran covered his hand mud before extracting them carefully.
[You’ve got a unit Mulfur...+10]
[You’ve got a unit of Kaolin Stone...+10]
With the ingredients complete, Long Haoran took out a large pot and concocted the pesticide. He upgraded the pyrethrum since it was distinguished as culinary ingredient.
[Pyrethrum- Second Class]
The plants were crushed and extracted of their juices while the stones were turned into powder and added to the boiling mixture in the pot.
If the Elf witnessed the Long Haoran’s way of making the pesticide, he would labeled him as insane because it requires a cauldron and pharmacist skill but Long Haoran was able to successfully concoct it.
[Pesticide- Grade: Second-Class
-Quantity: 5 liters]
[You’ve gained 100 Gourmet experience points.]
Long Haoran narrowed his eyes at the prompt. He could earn points from making pesticide?
The smell of the pesticide was bad and Li Chunhua plugged her nose with her qi.
Meng Chu also pinched his nose while gazing at the steaming pot.
"Me done..." Long Haoran stored the pot in his inventory.
"Let’s go..." Li Chunhua presented her back for the two men to hop on.
Long Haoran took a step back.
A minute later...
"Bleurgh." Meng Chu leaned propped himself on the ground and vomited against the bush.
Long Haoran was also dizzy but his state was much better than the middle-aged man.
"Uncle Meng?" The three men who were hiding in the bush noticed Uncle Meng and called him.
Meng Chu was pleasantly surprised seeing the three of them still alive but when he gazed on their health and their bleeding ears, his face was pale.
Li Chunhua also noticed this quickly administered [Basic First Aid] on them. Their ears stopped hurting and their HP increased to 250.
Meng Chu and the three young men were astounded and gave Li Chunhua a bow.
"You don’t need to. I’ll be an old man if you keep doing this." Besides it was her money-making business’ fault.
Because of their noises some mosquito warriors went to check and a certain someone grabbed them and crushed them with her bare hands before casting a dirt-dispelling spell.
[You’ve gained experience points...+150...+150...]
[You’ve gained copper coins...+70...+80...]
Li Chunhua quickly picked up the copper coins in happy mood. "Money...money...money..."
Long Haoran knowing her obsession for these coins, helped her picked them up.
Cui, Jun and Ge’er: "..." Are they dreaming? They pinched themselves.
No warrior mosquito came back. Long Haoran took a pot and realized a problem afterwards.
"Me...don’t have spray..."
Cui, Jun, Ge’er: Does he have speech difficulty?
"Me...too don’t have spray. I mean I don’t have spray..." Li Chunhua said before she remembered something.
"Me... I mean I have an idea."
"Miss, what is it?" Meng Chu asked.
"It’s hard to explain. But first, tie this rope on your waists. Be sure to tie it tightly as possible until you have difficulty in breathing. I will not be responsible for any sky-diving incident."
Long Haoran had an inkling she was being serious and he didn’t ask any question and just tied his waist. Single loop, Double loop, and multiple loops...until he was half a mummy.
With Long Haoran as an example, Meng Chu and the others albeit totally confused also tied their waists but only in double loops.
Long Haoran took out the pot before moving back and prepared himself for the worst.
Meng and the other three was bewildered by the man’s actions, it was until Li Chunhua muttered a spell.
"Wind abide by my call and blast off my enemy to oblivion."
Suddenly, the winds carrying deadly forces greater than Category 5 typhoons came and swept everything on its path.
They couldn’t see anything and they couldn’t hear anything for the span of five seconds of clutching on the ropes for their lives.
"Ahhh!"
Screams were drown in the wind. The mosquito queen couldn’t react and was also swept along. "Ahh!"
Her children were killed instantly, unable to withstand the damage.
The only thing ’team rope’ remembered was when they opened their eyes, they saw everything within a kilometer was bald and even the buildings inside the Boundless Territory were in a disarray.
Li Chunhua with her messy hair style like a chicken nest, whispered, (• ▽ •;) "At least I didn’t blast off everything. This is an improvement."
The listeners with their clothes also swept in the typhoon: "..." Pardon?
Long Haoran: Thank Goodness, I’m alive.
