Chapter 135: I never said I was Kind

Li Chunhua spent five hours sleeping before groggily waking up. Her head was throbbing from pain as if it was pounded by a hammer.

The last time she was like this was when she had studied four volumes of basic array inscriptions and cultivation principles in just one day because the punishment for failing the exam was closed door cultivation for a month without any food and just biguo.

(A/N: Biguo is a pill used by cultivators to achieve grain liberation.)

Basically, that’s even worse than those fatuous rulers’ after-throne life being rolled in the chopping board and boiled in the cauldron.

Li Chunhua opened the window and checked the barrier.

She had made and perfected it all dawn to the point she used all her jades’ reserves and sacrifice her sleep but it was all worth it when she remembered its effects and method of repair.

Her eyes suffused with qi examined the barrier.

[Soaring Dumpling Sect’s Barrier-Epic Grade (HP: 10,000/10,000)

-Defense: 300

-To repair, users just need to offer food. The more delicious it is, the more HP points it will regenerate. Important Note: The final interpretation of points is reserved for the maker.]

This is what she calls true powerful equipment! She can’t wait to show it off to Brother Siri! Only she remembered that she sent the Elf to his desired destination. Never mind, he’ll come back...

Somewhere among the grinding spots in Newbie Mountain No. 27, an Elf was being chased by a group of stone thrower friendly imps and he suddenly sneezed.

His Master’s pitching ability was spot on, his first landing was a swamp filled with poisonous mosquitos and right after escaping that place he was greeted by violent monkeys in a bald forest. These imps were usually very meek but because of a certain someone plucking all the tropic bananas they cultivated, their hatred for intruders reached the peak and the one who bear the brunt now was the poor Elf.

Li Chunhua spared a minute rereading the last phrase before her eyes lowered to the crocs pen.

Unknowingly the two crocs were halfway into successfully climbing out of the pen and were planning to go out hunting and come back because their ruthless and uncaring nanny seemed to forgotten to feed them. But midway, the two sneaky crocs heard the familiar voice.

"Where are you going?"

The crocs lifted their eyes to see the nanny on the window staring at them with red glint flickering in her blue eyes. The crocs instantly went back their pen and bleat cutely meh.

The moment they did, green leaves rained down inside the pen. "Here’s your breakfast!"

The two crocs looked at the green leaves: "..." We’ll starve at this rate.

----

Li Chunhua wiped her body with towel soaked in water before chanting a dirt dispelling spell before taking out thick stack of papers from her inventory, the ones Elf had given her last night.

Unfortunately, she didn’t have the drive to read the words in them because her stomach was rumbling from hunger but Chef Long didn’t knock on her door.

This is odd. She opened the door of the bed and went to check the living and the kitchen but there was no sign of Chef Long and it was devoid of a single plate of cook food.

Could it be he ran away because she was a gluttonous pig?

She barged in the basic hut, only to see three figures leaning on the foot of the beds, rubbing their bellies in satisfaction, and licking the corners of their lips.

On the floor were dozens of empty plates and bowls. The room heavily reeked of the smell of food.

The three foodies only noticed her now

There was a small white paper in the middle of the floor stained brown sauce.

Before Little Mantou, Little Ginseng and Elga could hide the paper, it flew towards Li Chunhua.

Oh no!

[I’m off to level up and will come back before dinner. This is for your breakfast and lunch.]

Li Chunhua’s eyes shifted back to empty plates and bowl without a sliver of sauce left. The three foodies crawled under the beds sensing a heavy pressure descended on the room.

"Ahh!"

After five minutes, three figures with tears flowing from their eyes stood on the bridge. On their hands were three pieces of jade jewelries, three small bags stuffed with dried bread and weapons, and waterproof makeshift 3 of 2-meters fabrics.

"Your three’s job is to mark the resource points you can find within half a kilometer and while you’re at it, remember to bring back some samples as proofs. I remembered Little Mantou had pouch that can store things. You’re not allowed to come back if there are not more than 10 resource points."

"But Master...."

"15 resource points."

"Ji ji ji." (Master, I don’t want to.)

"20 resource points." The foodie deprived of her breakfast and lunch mercilessly added. Two tracking spells were cast on the two culprits since Elga already had one.

Elga swallowed what she was going to say. If looks could kill, she had a feeling that the three of them will die in terrible ways because the old witch’s eyes very scary at this moment.

Before the two shotas could spout another complaint, Loli Elga made a strategic retreat and dragged the two unwilling shotas down the mountain regardless of their struggles.

With the departure of the freeloaders aka gluttonous thieves, Li Chunhua returned to her territory but not before checking on Huo Yan. The latter was dehydrated, hungry and asked Li Chunhua weakly.

Despite his voice almost a whisper, Li Chunhua could still hear it from where she stood.

"Why are you torturing me? Have I offended you in some way?" He thought the woman would just ignore him but she answered his question albeit, it only produced more questions.

Li Chunhua didn’t look at Huo Yan and only answered in a vague manner, "It’s not me you offended but someone else and she wants you to repay what you’ve done."

"You’re cruel!" Huo Yan didn’t have any more energy to browse his memory of who could possibly she was referring to.

"I never said I was kind." The foodie whose mood was soiled with hunger entered the territory and ignored the rest of Huo Yan’s complaints.
