Chapter 130: The Hardships to acquire Livestock (1)

Li Chunhua’s and Siri’s conversation extended to half an hour before they decided to set the matter tomorrow.

The light rain continued for three more hours. There were few monsters that wanted to attack the territory and were hindered by the trench.

They could only growl at the prey hanging on the tree. Huo Yan was croaking all night asking for help yet no one came to his rescue except for a flying muddy white canva shoe that hit his face, delivering him a good night kiss.

With the silence returning, Li Chunhua returned to her bed and had her good night sleep. Name of foods poured out her mouth all night and the two shotas couldn’t endure the noises and went to stuff her mouth with a fabric but Li Chunhua’s innate security system was triggered causing the two to suffer from bite wounds.

When Li Chunhua woke up, she was immediately greeted by two faces full of grievances. Her eyes glided over the bite marks on Little Ginseng’s body and the bald parts on Little Mantou’s fur. "What happened to you two?"

The two’s sharply stared at her with accusation. "It’s your fault Master!"

"My fault? I did not..." She couldn’t continue her words because she tasted something on her tongue. She picked it up with her finger. Then she saw a snowy white hair and unconsciously went to compare the hair to the ones still on the fox’s body. Confirming the two matched, her eyes widened.

(ˉ▽ ̄~)

She really did it?

Little Mantou cried at the evidence and Little Ginseng joined him.

"Stop crying. As an apology, we’ll split breakfast to 50-25-25."

The two foodies instantly stopped crying, grinned and made peace signs.

( ̄﹏ ̄;)

Li Chunhua felt she was scammed.

-----

Chef Long guy was diligent as ever, at early morning with the intention of raising someone’s motivation for the day for searching for ginsengs, he made a tableful of grilled meat, two pots of rice and some side dishes.

Li Chunhua and her two foodie companion saw the wonderful buffet and started their stomach conquest. The 50 pound meat and other food were finished in a few minutes. Long Haoran was already numb at their extreme consumption and calmly watched. Anyway, he was not the one providing the food supplies.

On the other hand, Elga seated beside her Master, gaped at the three’s mouth who were swallowing nonstop. She was worried that the meal couldn’t be finish but it turns out it was not enough.

Doesn’t this good old witch know how precious food was?

This was her mentality until she was assigned the task to watch over the mission hall and was given access to the warehouse.

She personally witnessed the good old witch conjured mountains of basic necessities, construction materials, tools and food supplies before sorting and storing them inside the shelves.

Elga: (#°Д°) This old witch is so rich?

"Why are giving me free reign over this supplies? Are you not afraid I will steal them and run away?" Elga asked, never wanted to admit that her heart was warmed.

Li Chunhua stared at the pixie for a few seconds. "Oh, I forgot about it! Thank you for reminding me." She cast a tracking spell on the pixie.

The pixie was startled by her words feeling that she dug her own pit but couldn’t find any proof of it.

Meanwhile, the two shotas went back to their playing site inside the basic hut. On the other hand, Siri was briefing the probationary residents about the territory rules, introducing mission hall which was currently just a desk in front of the warehouse, where a hot-tempered loli was seating and wearing a ’don’t mess with me’ expression, ready to brawl at the slight provocation.

With the thug loli acting as the mission hall staff, Fern and the others approached in fear, inquiring about the goods sold and equivalent exchange points or copper coins.

Siri had already written it on the notebook and didn’t rely on his Master who had the tendency to inflate things.

Pixie pushed the two notebooks towards the group.

"Here it is. This is the prices of the goods and this is the mission task. If you have any questions, ask nicely and if you have any complaints..." An axe materialized on the wooden table.

Fern and the others gulped and behaved meekly and went to check the supplies first and the moment they saw the long list, they were blinded by the wealth.

[Rice (1kg) - 50 copper coins]

[Assortment of Bread (250 g)- 20 copper coins]

[1 bottle of 250 ml water- 10 copper coins]

[1 blanket – 100 copper coins]

[1 pack of 250 gram of salt- 30 copper coins]

The list was long and there were even thing that they haven’t seen before and there were also white-quality weapons and guns for sale. Even Fern who was planning on relying by hunting monsters was moved.

"Can we convert points to copper coins?" Fern asked. The other perked their ears.

"1 resident point can be converted to 1 copper coin." Elga replied.

They had 100 resident points yesterday and they can exchange it for items but what if the territory isn’t offering job anymore?

Their eyes travelled over the other notebook. Someone opened the page and their eyes were attracted to the quarry and the construction of drainage system.

150 points salary per day in quarry?

100 points in making pipes?

The eyes of those non-combatant native lit up and inquired about the jobs.

On the other hand, Fern didn’t join the others because he had a class and if he stayed in the territory, his strength will stay stagnant.

----

Because she already had more than ten residents, she was qualified to build the special quarry. Li Chunhua set off with Long Haoran in tow, fulfilling her deal of being an herb radar. She bid everyone goodbye and the mother-figure Elf escorted her out with tears and a hanky.

Siri waved his soaked handkerchief at his Master’s departure before resuming his work. Occasionally, he would walked towards the entrance, checking on any signs of his Master’s shadow but even when it was nearly sunset, she didn’t come back.

Siri knew his Master’s laziness and she would never venture out for such a long time and this made him very anxious.

----

Meanwhile, somewhere along the west of Newbie Mountain No. 27, two figures were dangling on a tall tree, watching the hundreds of huge crocodiles below.

One of the figure asked the person beside her, "Can you remind me how we end up this way?"

Cuckoo-

The sounds of crowing echoed above the two.

Long Haoran looked at the pair of chickens with colorful feathers tied up. The memories of his gang leader going all out and provoking high-level monsters just for two chickens replayed in his mind.

눈_눈 Why am I here?

He wanted to curse but he might be kicked down and become the monsters’ meal.

Li Chunhua didn’t know his thoughts and only watched the crocodiles eyeing the meat on her body before gulping.

(ᇂ_ᇂ |||) Why is she even here?
