Chapter 128: First Weather Forecast

Long Haoran spent another half an hour on the grill before bringing the barbecue dinner to the living room’s table, where the main gang members and leader were already waiting for him. One by one, Long Haoran brought the plates and sauce.

Siri was very shocked when he saw the additional description of the sauce. This tofu eater can grant buffs? It had healing effects to boot! His red rubies gleamed with a red hue, and he had the urge to kidnap this man back to the Elven Kingdom.

Long Haoran could feel the elf’s eyes on him and remained composed.

Contrary to Siri, who could see the buff effects, the three foodies picked up their utensils.

Li Chunhua delivered a short prayer, and after it, the meat was devoured. Long Haoran and Siri felt the threat because of the three natural vacuums, swallowing the meat without chewing.

"Hmmm..." The three groaned from the juiciness and flavorful sensation bursting in their tongues. Streams of praise escaped the three foodies’ mouths along the lines of someone having a handsome face, a handsome foot, and handsome hands.

Long Haoaran nearly choked on his food, and the veins on his temples throbbed before he remembered seeing there was still high-quality buffed sauce left in the ball. "Try them with sauce."

The three foodies looked at the sauce and dipped the grilled meat in it before tasting it. At the same time, the forks on their hands dropped to the floor.

What is this? They could see a cascading waterfall of sauce in the distance, sparkling underneath the bright moon, beckoning them over for a dip.

Suddenly, both Long Haoran and Siri had a bad premonition.

There was three seconds of silence before a fight for the sauce broke out.

"Master! Your figure is almost resembling a pig! And little guy, don’t learn from Master’s bad behavior. Give it to me." A ferocious roar came out of the little fox’s mouth.

"Ji ji ji!" (You’re the pig! Your whole family is the pig!)

"It’s my ginseng!"

Unfortunately, even with the two’s combined efforts, the gang leader still won in the end, and the two foodies could only enviously look at the empty bowl being licked clean.

The 50-pound first barbecue dinner party was concluded with Li Chunhua’s stomach being half-full. She strolled outside. Fern and the others had made a small cottage from the excess wood.

Looking at the crude and cramped house, Li Chunhua spent material to build them another basic hut beside the first one and distributed some necessities like blankets, but not before informing them that she would record this and have them pay for it in the future.

Fern and the others were grateful and nodded.

Li Chunhua left, and when she did, Fern and the others huddled and caressed the soft blankets and cotton fabrics while silently comparing their day under their previous master.

"It seems this territory is more prosperous than it appears."

Because of the dilapidated cottage’s appearance, they had mixed views of Li Chunhua, but now all of it vanished, and hope budded in their hearts, hoping this was the breakthrough they needed and the opportunity for their clan’s status to rise.

Their loyalties increased by single digits.

Li Chunhua jumped on the tree and gave Elga a surprise visit before untying her. She took out some pastry and brought it to Elga’s mouth.

"The sky is so beautiful," Li Chunhua commented. Her tone was a bit sad.

The pixie was startled and unconsciously glanced at the horizon. Indeed, the two moons and colorful stars were like paintings on a blank canvas.

"Eat."

Elga looked down. Because of the light provided by the moon, she could see and smell the scent of baked food. She gulped.

"You don’t want to eat?" Li Chunhua asked, and Elga, who was beyond hungry, snatched the food and gobbled it in one bite. She sniffed before uttering a word of thanks.

"We only have one life. Don’t spend it all on vengeance and make more mistakes you’ll regret," Li Chunhua said while placing more pastries and a bottle of water on Martial Aunt’s lap. She stood up from the branch and was planning to return when suddenly a mass of dark clouds covered the moons and stars.

The pixie sniffed.

A drop of rain fell on Li Chunhua’s hair and slid to the side of her face before there was a sound of pitter-patter.

And an additional screen appeared in front of her.

[Weather Monitoring: Light Rain, Temp: 26 degrees Celsius]

(⊙_⊙)? What.....

Li Chunhua’s looked at the barrier-less territory and her heart thumped. Wasn’t it supposed to be drought within the first week? How come it’s raining?

The plot is screwed!

She quickly grabbed Martial Aunt’s collar, leaving the sleeping Huo Yan alone.

"Brother Siri, it’s raining!" Li Chunhua barged inside the elf’s room and placed the pale-faced Martial Aunt Elga, who was dizzy on Long Haoran’s bed.

Siri was in the middle of looking through the tailoring books and brochures, learning how to knit, when his master broke in. The instant he heard it, he rushed outside, heading to the farm.

The drizzles of rain soaked his hair and white shirt.

Li Chunhua searched for a lighter that had a tiny flashlight on its end. She followed Siri closely, and when they both inspected the farm, she saw drops of rain splashing in the tiny green shoots.

Even without basic farming, Li Chunhua could tell this rain was bad for her future food’s life.

"Master, we need to make the greenhouse." Siri spoke in a grave tone. His fair forehead creased, analyzing the possible weather they will encounter this week.

Flood? Soil Erosion? Typhoon?

His head ached.

Li Chunhua remembered the jades she bought. She need to make an array. ASAP!

So much for being a salted fish. This system isn’t giving her any break.

ಥ_ಥ Can you send me back? I promised I will eat less.

Meanwhile, Long Haoran glanced at the failed and deadly grilled steaks piled up in one corner. He picked them up, planning to bury them, but in the midst, an idea formed in his mind, prompting him to look around before storing them in his inventory.

"It’s better not to waste them." He coughed before cleaning the kitchen, imagining a bunch of monsters spasming on the ground.

This gang leader is powerful, even when she fails, the effects can be fatal.

---

Not only Li Chunhua’s territory was experiencing the change in the weather but all players in different Newbie Mountains.
