Chapter 115: Ch 115: A Happy Family - Part 2
Inside Daniel’s apartment, the atmosphere was thick with tension.
Lola stood across from him, her bright eyes filled with expectation, while Daniel struggled to breathe through the overwhelming pull of the bond. It was maddening—the primal part of him screaming to protect her, to claim her as his, even though his mind refused to accept it.
He had Sharon. He wasn’t supposed to feel this way about anyone else.
But Lola was standing there, and the bond between them couldn’t be ignored. Every fiber of his being told him to take care of her, to bring her into his world, to give her the love she wanted. But his heart—torn between obligation to Sharon and the pull of this new connection—fought against it.
He stared at Lola, his voice thick with regret.
"I didn’t ask for this."
Daniel said, each word feeling like a betrayal.
Lola stepped forward, her eyes softening with understanding.
"You don’t have to ask, Daniel. It’s already happened."
Lola replied with certainty. She placed her hand gently on his arm, as though trying to comfort him.
"I’m not asking you to abandon Sharon, but I’m asking you to see the truth. We’re connected now. You can’t change that."
The words stung, and Daniel turned away, trying to shake off the gnawing feeling inside him. He needed to be strong. He had responsibilities—responsibilities that didn’t involve her.
"I’m not ready for this."
Daniel muttered, his voice cracking under the pressure.
Lola nodded slowly, a hint of sadness in her eyes.
"I know it’s hard. But don’t shut me out, Daniel. You know I’m meant to be with you."
Her voice was soft but filled with a quiet strength, and for a brief moment, Daniel almost believed her. The pull of the bond was undeniable. Every moment he spent near her, the feeling grew stronger, almost suffocating.
He took a deep breath, trying to steady himself.
"I’m not like you, Lola. I can’t just throw everything away. I have Sharon... and our son."
The mention of their son hit him like a punch to the gut. James was his responsibility, and no bond with anyone—omega or not—could change that.
Lola stepped back, her gaze falling to the floor.
"I don’t want to come between you and your family, Daniel."
she said softly
"But this bond is real. We are real. Please don’t shut me out."
Daniel closed his eyes, his heart aching with the weight of the decision he had to make. He couldn’t deny the bond. It was like a fire, impossible to put out. Yet he couldn’t abandon Sharon—not after everything they had been through.
For a moment, he stood there, silent and torn. The words Lola spoke echoed in his mind, and the conflict inside him deepened. He wanted to hate her, to push her away, but the bond refused to let him.
"Lola, I... I can’t do this,"
Daniel said finally, his voice barely above a whisper but firm.
She looked up at him, her expression a mixture of hurt and understanding.
"You don’t have to do it alone, Daniel. We can figure this out together."
Local was certain this was the right thing to do, but Daniel refused to believe it. But Daniel shook his head, his decision weighing heavy on his chest.
"I have to stay with Sharon," he said firmly.
The words tasted like ash in his mouth, but they were the truth. It wasn’t just about the bond or the pull he felt toward Lola—it was about the family he had built, the life he couldn’t throw away.
"I’m sorry."
Daniel whispered, more to himself than to Lola.
The bond roared inside him as if protesting, but Daniel knew this was the only choice he could make.
Lola’s shoulders sagged, and she turned away, her voice barely audible.
"I understand."
Lola said, the weight of her words cutting through him.
But as she walked away, Daniel couldn’t shake the feeling that something had broken inside him. His desire to run after her was immense and tiring.
He held himself back but he felt as if this goodbye was not real
As for Lola, this was all an act. She already had what she wanted, and now she just needed to give Daniel some time to come to her after he was done suffering. He would soon realize that it was better to be by Lola’s side than anyone else.

Back at her apartment, Sharon was still seething, pacing in the small space. Her heart was racing, her thoughts still clouded by anger and betrayal. She had no idea what was going on with Daniel, but she knew one thing—she couldn’t let him pull her back in.
The phone call with Anabella had only confirmed that no one cared about what was happening. Not her, not Daniel, and definitely not his new omega.
Sharon stopped and looked out the window, her mind made up. She was going to confront Daniel—no matter what it took. He couldn’t keep running from this, and neither could she.
She was done waiting.
With a deep breath, Sharon picked up her phone again, this time dialing Daniel’s number. She wasn’t going to sit around any longer. She needed answers.
No matter how painful they might be.
Daniel won’t hide anything from her. He had already given her an answer about this relationship once today, but nothing had been cleared up by that call.
That call had left Sharon more confused than anything and also uncertain of her position in life.
’I need to talk to James. The pull of an omega can only be resisted by a person who has a child. A father-son bond is the only thing that can keep me connected to Daniel. I need to get James on my side.’
Sharon was sure that she already had James on her side, but she needed to make sure about this.
And to do that, she needed to contact him first. But she had no means to do that at her current time.
