The Billionaire's Forgotten Wife
Chapter 108: How to Win Her Heart

Chapter 108: How to Win Her Heart

After signing the proposal for additional funding on the new laboratory project, Zeke pressed the intercom.

"Andrew. Come to my office."

Tok. Tok. Tok.

"Come in," Zeke said, his deep baritone voice calm but firm.

Andrew entered a moment later, his steps light. "Do you need something, sir?"

Zeke didn’t answer right away. He tapped his pen lightly against the desk, eyes fixed on Andrew, more thoughtful than commanding.

Andrew squinted. "Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked, not with the usual secretary’s tone but with casual familiarity as he walked closer.

Zeke stopped tapping and began spinning the pen between his fingers.

"How long have you and Karen been married?"

Andrew raised an eyebrow. "A little over three years," he answered, puzzled but used to Zeke’s abrupt switches.

Zeke gave a small nod, then hesitated. He set the pen down, stood from his chair, and walked toward the floor-to-ceiling windows that framed the city skyline.

"How did you win her over?" he asked, still facing the glass, his back to Andrew.

"Sorry, what?"

"I’m asking how you made her fall in love with you."

Andrew blinked, stunned. Then it hit him.

Zeke had been spending a lot of time lately with Cassidy and Claire.

A grin slowly formed on Andrew’s face.

So... he wants to chase after her now. And he’s coming to me for help?

Oh, this is gold.

Andrew smirked. "You want me to tell you?" Zeke turned to face him.

The smug smile on Andrew’s face made him instantly regret asking.

"If you want the secret, I can tell you," Andrew offered, way too pleased with himself.

Zeke didn’t respond, he simply stared.

Andrew didn’t mind Zeke’s blank expression or the lack of any response. He was too thrilled to finally share his wisdom with Zeke.

"If you want to win a woman’s heart, first, you have to pay attention to her. Notice her habits. What she likes, what she doesn’t," he said confidently as he made himself comfortable on the couch in Zeke’s office.

Seeing him settle in like he owned the place, Zeke reluctantly followed and sat across from him. Even though he found Andrew’s smug smile annoying, he swallowed his pride. For once, he was willing to listen.

"You need to know what annoys her, what makes her laugh. What calms her down when she’s mad. Her comfort food, her favorite movie, the shows she secretly cries over. What she fears. What she hides. What kind of hug she needs on a bad day. What kind of silence she prefers on worse ones."

Andrew’s voice was calm now, no longer teasing.

Noticing Zeke’s rare focus, he straightened his shoulders, proud of himself.

"Second," he said with flair, "if she tells you to go west, you go west. Not east."

Zeke gave a tight nod, lips pressed.

Andrew grinned wider. "Even if west makes zero sense."

"You’re following so far, right?" Andrew asked, raising both brows with a grin.

Zeke scoffed. "Wipe that grin off your face and just keep talking."

"Alright, alright." Andrew leaned back. "Number six, probably the most important one. Communication. You need to talk to each other. A lot of misunderstandings happen just because people don’t talk enough. If you have something on your mind, say it."

Zeke sighed.

He wasn’t exactly the type to talk about his feelings.

"Do you tell your wife how you feel?" he asked. "When you’re angry, upset, happy... do you actually say it to Karen?"

"Of course. Karen and I always put communication first," Andrew replied seriously. "We broke up once because of a misunderstanding. It nearly ruined us."

There was a quiet sadness in his tone, one that caught Zeke off guard.

Zeke tilted his head. "Aren’t you ever embarrassed to show weakness in front of your partner?"

Andrew frowned. "Why would I be? When you’re in a relationship, there’s no room for shame. You’re supposed to accept each other flaws and all."

Zeke blinked. "Really? So... have you ever farted in front of your wife?"

"Absolutely," Andrew said without hesitation. "She calls me disgusting all the time."

He chuckled at the memory.

"You are disgusting."

Still grinning, Andrew shrugs. "And yet, she still loves me."

Zeke can’t help but crack a tiny smile.

"The truth is, I wasn’t always good at opening up either. But Karen taught me to lean on her. She told me she never wants me to go through hard times alone. That changed me." Andrew’s tone softens. "That’s why I love her so much. She accepts every messy part of me."

Zeke tried to lighten the mood. "I feel sorry for your wife."

"You jerk. You should be saying I’m lucky to have her."

Zeke smirks, just a little. "You’re right. You’re lucky to have a wife who puts up with all your flaws... and childish behavior."

"I prefer the term charming. My flaws are overshadowed by my charm," Andrew says proudly.

Zeke shakes his head at the overconfidence radiating off him.

"Anyway," Zeke continues, "you still haven’t answered my original question. How exactly did you win her over?"

"I did answer. Everything I’ve told you leads to that."

"Fine. So, is there anything else I need to know?"

"Of course. There are ten points in total, at least in my book. Everyone has their own version. So number seven..." Andrew raises a finger. "When your partner is tired, sick, or stressed, be there. Always. Don’t let her feel alone, especially when she’s supposed to have someone beside her."

Zeke nods in agreement.

"Number eight," Andrew continues, "Tell her you love her every day. Kiss her every day."

Zeke’s mouth parted slightly, trying to process what he had just heard. "You’re not serious, are you? You actually do that every day?"

"Of course I do. It keeps me motivated to work, to be better."

Zeke falls silent. His expression is unreadable, caught somewhere between disbelief and curiosity.

Andrew doesn’t stop there. "Number nine, total honesty about money. Karen knows every detail about my bank accounts. No secrets."

Zeke nods slowly. That part makes sense to him.

"Number ten," Andrew said with a smirk, "might make you squirm a little."

Zeke raised a brow. "Try me."

"I mean, only if you’re uncomfortable hearing it, then maybe I shouldn’t—"

"Just say it."

"Alright." Andrew leans back, almost like he’s preparing himself. "You have to be consistent in the bedroom. I mean it. At least four to five times a week. It keeps things exciting, builds intimacy, stops boredom from creeping in. And trust me, try different things. Be creative. Make it fun. You’ll wake up in a good mood every damn day."

The corner of Zeke’s lips twitches. He should’ve known that’s where Andrew was going. Still, he can’t deny the truth in his friend’s words. Intimacy does build closeness and maybe, he’s been missing that all this time.

"Those are the ten things I always keep in my notes," Andrew said, stretching his back with a satisfied look. "There are actually more, but those ten cover the essentials."

Zeke leaned back, nodding slowly. "Okay. Thanks for the insight," he said in a flat but not dismissive tone. "I’ll remember them."

He paused, then glanced at Andrew again.

"Now," Zeke continued, "let’s hear it... how did you make your wife fall in love with you?"

Andrew’s grin widened. "Now that... is a story worth telling."
