The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress
Chapter 50: ON THE ROAD AGAIN

Chapter 50: Chapter 50: ON THE ROAD AGAIN

After making herself clear, Zara once again found herself on the road and this time she wasn’t playing. There was no need for any unnecessary stops unless it was crucial for everyone else.

On the road, Zara didn’t slack off at all. Her mission was to finish the job she had started and embroider all the hankies she had set out to do so that she could send them back home and let her family members have them as soon as possible.

Since they were all probably watching, she knew that they were looking forward to them.

So, on the road, when she wasn’t sleeping and resting, Zara worked hard to finish her task.

She saved her energy by not interacting a lot with the fans but just watching her doing the same things repeatedly. Fortunately, the other half of the screen was always showing a movie, show or anything to entertain the viewers.

Thanks to Zara’s constant support for local shows, a lot of productions were seeing a huge increase in ratings as well as the box office money.

Money and fame were pouring in and when they investigated how it came to be, they were all bewildered. After all, who would have known that they were getting free promotions from a sick streamer who did nothing but sew all the time?

Unfortunately for them and others, they didn’t have any contact details for Zara, so she couldn’t be contacted. And those that tried to spam her comments alluring her to work for them, Quinn had those people blacklisted.

In just one week, Zara’s convoy was two days away from reaching Lingren Village and all the hankies she had prepared were also finally done.

When the viewers, especially Lena and others saw the last hankie being taken away by Emma, they all sighed with relief.

Lena was especially afraid that her daughter might get spiked with the needles. It was easy to get infections through sharp tools after all.

The happiest person was Zara. After completing the last hankie, she felt as if she had been liberated. It had not been easy for her.

When her arms ached because of the work, she couldn’t flinch or even tell a single soul as she knew she would be told to rest.

Since she was determined to finish making the hankies and showing her family filial piety by doing the job personally instead of letting other people do it, the sooner she was done the better it was for her.

Apart from the pain and fatigue from making the hankies, what truly made her very happy was how she learnt and earned experience the more she did it.

What once took nearly a day to finish in the beginning, became something that could be finished in two hours tops.

Of course, if she had used the machine, she would have been done a very long time ago, but to her, that wouldn’t make sense.

What was the difference with her buying them with that?

So, when the hankies were completed, Zara instructed Emma to package everything nicely and send it to their respective addresses.

With everyone living separately and other people abroad, Zara couldn’t send everything home where her parents were.

And when the recipients heard that the hankies were going to be delivered to them, all of them who watched cleared their schedules for the next three days. They didn’t want to miss out on the parcel once it was delivered.

With the first art done and dusted, Zara began to ponder about what to do next. She just couldn’t stop gifting her family members something that small and be content with it.

In her dictionary, there were the five arts that she had always wanted to learn and be eloquent at.

The first one, was the one she just completed, sewing/embroidery. As a woman or a female in society, Zara believed that one should be independent and self-sufficient.

Being born spoiled and then falling sick had taught her a lot of things. She jotted down a lot of life lessons that she hoped one day to share with her fans on her journey in the future.

For a girl or woman to be self-sufficient and independent, money wasn’t the only thing that was required. But just like the ancients always said, a woman should know how to cook.

It didn’t matter if the other couldn’t cook an imperial feast but at least knowing how to make something to pad the stomach was a must. If one day you are on your own, would you die just because you don’t know how to do it?

Secondly, a woman needs to cover her body, and clothes are needed. If you can’t afford to buy them, why not make them yourself?

Thirdly, the ability to care for nature, care about where the food that we eat comes from and all that, was crucial for her at least. As a woman having the ability to grow one’s food and be concerned and worried about what she cooks and eats every day, sounded important.

So, when given a chance, Zara wanted to experience what it was like to have her own garden and grow her own vegetables and other crops.

The fourth one, a woman should know and understand how to entertain herself and maybe the surrounding people. So, knowing a few arts would do the trick. For example, singing, dancing, piano skills, painting and other arts that might interest her.

It was a good thing for one to have such interests or maybe a hobby. Besides, knowing such kinds of things makes one look cooler, and she wanted to look cooler.

The last one was a bit more crucial and essential for anyone to live in this harsh world.

One should know how to make money. Without money, how do you expect to achieve anything?

So, the art of making money should be mustered, and if she were to talk about this, she can proudly say that in the fifteen years she had been bedridden, she hadn’t been idle too.

Those five arts were very important to her. She hoped to learn as much as she could and use the chance to learn to show that piety to her family.

All her arts were mostly centered on the basis that one day she should show her family some love, and gratitude for their endless support all these years.

She hoped that as she journeyed to the unknown and fought for an uncertain future riddled with probable danger and a scary past, she would always be able to become that virtuous and filial daughter she had dreamt of becoming.

It wasn’t going to be achieved in a single day but one day is one day.

Who said that Rome was built in a day?
