The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress -
Chapter 39: LUCKY DRAW
Chapter 39: Chapter 39: LUCKY DRAW
"Should I wake her up?" Emma asked Ava the nurse after seeing that the food had been cooked.
"Um. She only ate once in the morning. She had napped enough for now," Ava responded as her brows scrunched a bit.
"Let’s go then!"
The two left the kitchen and started making their way upstairs. When they reached the top floor, they found Quinn waiting for them.
"Turn the broadcast dark for a while. You know that she can’t eat happily without freshening up!" Quinn reminded the two.
Upon hearing that, Emma hastily bade the viewers goodbye before the screen went dark.
It wasn’t like the drones were completely turned off. They just turned the recording function off but the viewers could still chat amongst themselves.
After turning it dark, Emma and Ava went into Zara’s bedroom where they divided the labor. With Emma filling the tub with water, Ava was having a hard time waking Zara up.
Emma not only filled the tub to the required level but also added the herbs that Zara had to use whenever she was taking a full body bath.
When she was done, she went to check what was delaying Ava only to find Ava struggling to undress a sleepy Zara.
’It seems like she is really tired!’ she mused before going to give Ava a hand.
It took a while to get Zara bathed and give her a fresh change of clothes. by the time Zara settled in the warm water, she was no longer sleepy so her cooperation was flawless.
After dressing her, Zara once again found herself being carried by Quinn downstairs. At that time, the drones were turned on and everything was getting transmitted again.
Zara’s eyes lit up when she saw the chicken porridge. It was much better than the porridge she had eaten earlier.
As Quinn fed her as he usually does whenever he was around, Zara could be seen by viewers, squinting her eyes with happiness as she ate her food.
When Lena saw that, the other simply started crying and Cade could only comfort his wife as he felt his heart suffocated.
"Don’t be sad!" Cade said comfortingly.
"I am not sad. I am just happy .... my baby can now eat. Isn’t this wonderful?"
Although she didn’t know when Zara started eating as she had been taking those nutrient solutions all these years, Lena felt that there was much hope now.
On Zara’s aide, after filling her stomach that couldn’t hold much food as she was someone who hadn’t been eating for a very long time, she squinted her eyes in satisfaction.
"That was good!" she couldn’t help but praise sincerely as she looked at the chef who stood at a distance just in case something happened.
When the chef heard the praise, he sighed with relief as if a burden had been removed from his shoulder.
"I am honored that you liked it!"
After praising the chef, Zara who had not talked much the whole day as she was restricted by the oxygen could finally go wild.
"Give me another tablet!" she ordered as she looked at Emma.
Emma didn’t waste any time and hurriedly brought her the tablet that she had been using earlier.
Zara took the tablet from Emma and began to look at the screen.
Zara wasn’t one to answer all the questions. She was too lazy besides just because she was broadcasting her life didn’t mean that she had to answer every damn question that the viewers asked.
It wasn’t like she was getting paid to do all of this.
"I see that you are all curious when the lucky draw is starting!" Zara mused as she read the comments.
"Good for you, it will start in just a moment!" she said cheerfully as she nodded at Quinn.
Moments later, the viewers heard the male voice that most females were crushing on instructing no one in particular.
"Initiate the program!"
[Who is he speaking to?]
[By now you shouldn’t be asking this?]
[That’s true. I can tell that PRINCESS is using invisible drones. So, whoever is operating those drones should be the one being instructed.]
[That makes sense!]
Zara ignored the viewers’ assumptions as she waited for the lucky draw to start.
"In a while, the lucky draw will start. I ask for only those in City G to participate. I will only provide the venue, food, snacks and beverages. I won’t be responsible for any transport or accommodation. So, guys, if you can’t afford such, please don’t participate."
Zara decided to be forthright from the beginning as she didn’t want to be taken advantage of.
These people were already quite aware of how generous she could be. She didn’t want to be used at all.
Only those that were sincere to see her, would be welcome for now.
As for what the comment section was saying, she opened one eye and closed the other.
In a minute, the lucky draw roulette suddenly appeared on the screen with bold lines of instructions written under it.
Zara decided to read them aloud to help those who might find it troublesome to do so.
"Only people from City G are eligible. The system will naturally block anyone who isn’t from there."
"Only those with active accounts of a year going upwards can participate."
"Lastly, a user can only participate once."
Zara was very satisfied with these instructions.
"For the lucky one hundred winners, you will receive the address of the venue tonight. This way you can be prepared in advance!" Zara added as she read the comments.
As she looked at the screen, the event began and according to what she was seeing; it was going to take an hour.
Zara didn’t want to remain idle during that hour, so as soon as the event started, she set aside the tablet and summoned Quinn to where she was seated.
Quinn naturally sat down next to her before leaning towards her. Judging by her actions, he understood that she didn’t want to say whatever she wanted to tell him aloud.
When he was close enough, Zara whispered in his ears.
His eyes lit up for a moment before he stood up.
He thumped her up before disappearing. As for what the two of them talked about, no one knew.
