The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress
Chapter 38: SLEEPING BEAUTY

Chapter 38: Chapter 38: SLEEPING BEAUTY

When Quinn carried Zara out of the limo, the wheelchair wasn’t used since she was sleeping soundly.

The drones captured everything faithfully without missing a single thing and followed Quinn all the way to the top floor.

The viewers watched for the first time Zara’s lifestyle away from the RV and road. Although she had streamed her life before, it was different from the content that they had watched.

To prevent Zara from waking up, Emma and Ava didn’t dare to change her clothes or wipe her body, so they just let Quinn tuck her in bed before they all left the bedroom.

With one drone capturing faithfully as Zara was sleeping, the other drone that was still working was following Emma and Ava.

As for Quinn, no drone was following him as he went to the study to settle some business.

Quinn locked himself in the study and walked towards the desk.

After tapping it lightly for a while, he finally took a seat and took out his cell phone.

Seeing the several missed calls on his phone, he could only grimace.

He didn’t want to respond to the caller but when he thought of the woman; he loved with all his heart, soul and fiber in his body, he could only grit his teeth as he returned the call.

After a few rings, the call was answered and a baritone masculine voice sounded from the other side.

[Is she feeling, okay?]

Like always the man didn’t know how to exchange some pleasantries and simply went straight to the point.

Quinn didn’t want to bother much with the other but he still responded truthfully.

"Um. She is okay. Just sleeping."

[Is it really fine to let the drones continue streaming when she is sleeping like that?] The other party sounded angry as he asked that.

Quinn’s eyes narrowed as a mocking smile appeared on his face.

"If it wasn’t for you to see her and stop being worried, do you think that Miss, would love showing her vulnerable sides like this?" Quinn angrily stated as he recalled the reason why Zara decided to stream herself despite being in an unfavorable situation.

For over a decade, she had hidden herself from the masses. With over ten million fans, not even a day had she leaked a photo of even her hand. And yet because of these people, Zara sacrificed herself. She had to show the fans who had supported her all these years how sickly and vulnerable she was.

Wasn’t all of this so that her parents and family wouldn’t be worried?

[You ....]

"Besides, once she makes up her mind. Do you think that I can change it? Since she wants it done that way, then we all just need to watch and support her. With me here, nothing will happen to her. Trust me on that." At the end of the day, Quinn couldn’t help but soften up.

The other party was a possible father-in-law, after all.

[Fine. Where are you headed? Did you send people there already?]

Quinn didn’t find these questions to be troublesome. It was normal for the man to not know where his daughter was headed to.

After all, Zara at times was really something else.

"Lingren village. That’s where we are going. Don’t tell anyone else. We wouldn’t want any surprises popping up on the road. For now, no one knows the relationship between Miss and the Hansley’s. and we would like to keep it that way!"

As if he was telling his subordinate, Quinn coolly stated. As for fearing Zara’s father, that was something that he stopped doing before he was ten years old. Being raised by Zara’s side, he didn’t have much to fear.

As long as she was okay with him, anything else to him was worthless.

The conversation between the two didn’t last long before Cade angrily hung up.

"Doot. Doot. Doot."

Listening to the sound, Quinn smiled smugly as he felt that he had won again.

Cade was someone that Quinn didn’t especially like a lot. Until this very moment, he still felt that if it weren’t for Cade’s sins, how could such an innocent soul be cursed with such an unknown illness?

In his eyes, mind and soul, it was Cade’s fault. And nothing could change his feelings about that.

While Quinn pondered about the way forward now that Zara had changed her mind and sped up the pace to go to Lingren village, downstairs, Emma and Ava were busy answering the nosy viewers as they watched the chef preparing Zara’s meal.

At the stage there were, the loyal fans were now certain that their goddess was ill and probably would be dying though they hoped for the better.

So, when they saw the chef cooking, they were all curious as to what delicacies he would be cooking.

After watching their goddess eating that porridge for days, they were starting to get tired of it.

[What are we eating today?]

[Please, no porridge. Can we cook something different today?]

[How about we add another side dish? We can’t keep on feeding her porridge alone.]

[Can’t she eat some of those things she had purchased earlier?]

Seeing the many questions being thrown at them, Avan and Emma couldn’t help but be speechless.

Did they think that they wanted to continue feeding her just porridge?

Their hands were currently tied, and until the mistress ordered otherwise, they could only continue cooking it.

So, they simply brushed the topic away and began to answer other questions.

"Once PRINCESS is awake, we will confirm when the lucky draw will start. For now, we can’t give you the answers. She is still sleeping."

[How old is PRINCESS?]

Emma grimaced when she saw that question. She would be an idiot if she answered it.

So, she answered, "She is old enough, and that’s what matters."

Question after question, Emma answered them all and after waiting for a while, the pot of fresh chicken porridge was finally done.
