Chapter 229: Chapter 229: DISTRIBUTING THE PILLS 2

"Since you heard it, I hope that you will engrave it in your minds and heart. Spend these two years to get to know your sibling, as well as each other. I don’t want to see any rifts happening in the family. We don’t know what might happen to each of us. I might die today and if that happens, are you certain that this family will continue to go on or will it collapse?"

"....."

"...."

No one responded as they all embarrassedly looked away. If that were to happen now, the consequences would be so severe. He would definitely crawl out of his grave with anger.

Cade went on to preach to these unfilial children of his and hoped that they would try to get along with each other, even for his sake.

When all the preaching was done and the ears of the children ringing, cursing their father inwardly for spending too much time concentrating on uniting them after so long just because Zara was better, they just felt like venting.

Fortunately, after the preaching came the good part.

And that was Ashely’s favorite moment.

The second she saw the familiar jade bottle, she looked at it with anticipation. The others, seeing her acting like that, knew that it was a good thing.

Besides, the bottle looked very familiar. Wasn’t it the same as the bottle they saw during the auction, during Zara’s broadcast in July, two months ago?

"Anyway, let’s leave that at that. You do what you deem best!" Cade waved his hand, brushing the matter aside as he opened the bottle. "In this bottle, I have exactly six pills. You have seen this kind of pill before. It was the one auctioned for a crazy price during Zara’s broadcast. We managed to get hands-on some, enough for every child in this family to have at least one!"

Ashely nodded, agreeing to her father’s words as he said that.

"Today, I will give each of you a pill. Use it properly and take care of your body. I want you all to live long and hope that you will create a better family empire than I ever could!" Cade felt tired as he looked at his scheming children.

He didn’t say more words or even stated the fact that it was all because of Zara they managed to get the pills before he distributed them to the kids.

With the six of them holding their pills, he kicked them out of the study before he went to find his wife and parents.

He wondered if Lena and Zara had managed to convince the old couple to take the pills.

Meanwhile, on the siblings’ side, they all looked at each other, wondering what had just happened. With none of them at least the five of them not understanding how it ended up as this, they all turned to Ashely, their eyes burning for answers.

Being put in a port like that, Ashely, who cherished her hard-earned life, didn’t dare play games with these older siblings but truthfully explained everything.

"Dad and third mother spent over a billion to get those pills. It was because of Zara who brought the matter in the first place. Because she wanted to buy pills for Grandpa and Grandma, the two ended up buying for everyone! If she didn’t bring that matter up, this," Ashely said as she looked at the pill in her hand before continuing, "we wouldn’t have even seen it at all."

"Why would that be the case? Didn’t they manage to buy them?"

Ashely scoffed as she looked in the direction of where the statement came from; Raize before mockingly responded, "Are you close to Diamond? Are you confident to stay in the same room as her and even bring the issue into the open?"

Ashely didn’t dare sit with Diamond alone. That young lady was so scary for her age. She was shrouded in mystery and with the way she appeared in Rozinya at the also time until now, she hadn’t recovered.

When the five heard Ashely’s retort, they shuddered in fear as that moment when Diamond disappeared in front of them before appearing surfaced.

Seeing no response from the five, Ashely snickered and said, "Amir’s family is very rich. He built a temple for her before he even met her. Don’t just keep on hating Zara. What we have seen over there, it can make you have insomnia for ages. Don’t mess with the goddess favorite!" and walked away after giving her a piece of her mind.

The five siblings looked at each other, complex emotions visible in their eyes, but they were all too clever to not say a word. The walls have ears. Who knows which servant was listening to their conversation?

In the end, they all kept their mouths shut as they headed to their respective rooms. Since they were given the pills, they might as well take them before they lose their efficacy.

They were in a hurry.

Meanwhile, on Zara’s end, she successfully managed to coax her grandparents to take the pills after shedding tears, which worked miracles.

Lena, who had watched the whole drama, later that night as she consumed her own pill, wondered if her daughter took on her talent. Fake crying, acting like a green tea and at times adding some white lotus acts, that was something that she was still very good at.

Otherwise, how could she have attracted the behemoth called Cade?

However, those thoughts were shorty thrown aside as the pain which Zara warned them about attacked without warning.

It was a night filled with silent cries and one which tested everyone’s endurance.

If they hadn’t been told in advance, they would have thought that someone wanted them dead.

Thankfully, after hours of enduring the pain, came the rebirth and loads of water were used that night.

It was a night to remember and one that they were very grateful for.

Especially when the next day, the whole family went under a full examination just like what Zara did before and found all ailments bothering them gone.

They couldn’t help but look gratefully towards Zara, Cade and Lena.

If it weren’t for those three, would such a grace befall them as well?

Maybe trying to get close to Zara wouldn’t be such a bad idea after all.

After all, like they all said, she would never be a threat, so what’s there to fear?

Unknown to Zara, who was already planning her vacation and ignorant of their thoughts, her siblings were plotting once again.

After all, why bother with them when there was so much that she was looking forward to?

Two years was not too far as if she were to be truthful about it.

In the blink of an eye, time would pass very fast, and one would wonder if it was just a mere illusion or if it was happening.

So, every second was precious.

Time was of greater essence.

And above all, time is money.

Who dares mess around with it?
