The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress
Chapter 226: LEAVING FOR DYNALIS

Chapter 226: Chapter 226: LEAVING FOR DYNALIS

It was the first time that she was attending someone’s engagement party whom she didn’t even know, and yet she looked forward to the ceremony itself.

When everyone was gathered, the master of ceremonies, being eloquent as he was, started doing what he was good at, professionally hosting the event and honestly, it was fun watching him. It made the whole thing feel more relaxing.

Having too many rich people under one roof could be taxing and stressful.

After getting entertained by the MC for a while, the stars of the party finally appeared. And as Zara looked at the two, she couldn’t help but be amazed at how handsome the man was.

As for the lady, she couldn’t say that she was the prettiest person she had seen. She was average and, if compared to Diamond; the gap was so big she felt embarrassed to put figures to it.

However, she understood one thing: when love hits, people could go blind. Unfortunately for them, she could sense that these people weren’t fated.

If she could sense that, how come Diamond didn’t?

Thinking like that, she turned in the direction where Diamond was. She was sitting at a table at the front, being one of the VIP guests, sitting with family.

Sitting next to Diamond was a devilishly handsome young man. If she wasn’t mistaken, he should be around twenty-two or twenty-three and yet the way he was interacting with Diamond raised question marks.

’Could it be that Diamond and that boy were a thing?’ she couldn’t help but wonder as she looked at them.

Distracted by the curiosity of what the young man was to Diamond, she forgot about the reason why she looked in that direction in the first place.

**

Time flew by quickly and before they knew it, the engagement party concluded, with a shiny big diamond stuck on the lady’s finger.

Of course, Zara felt intrigued, as she had witnessed a drama. One she was certain she would be hearing loads and loads of content from it in the future.

When she was standing with Diamond, the young man who stuck by Diamond’s side clingily like a child and being glared at by the twins, her gaze couldn’t help but land on the man of the day, Dean Ace.

If she wasn’t mistaken, there were numerous times when Dean looked longingly at Diamond, though it was for a brief moment. Only those who were looking at him seriously would notice that.

Fortunately, the lady didn’t notice a single thing. She was busy being blinded by the lights and smiling to appease these rich people who could never have enough.

If Dean had a thing for Diamond, was it probably the reason why there were signs in an attempt to stop this engagement from happening?

Did Diamond know about this as well?

She was so curious, but unfortunately; she wasn’t brave enough to ask. That was something private and wasn’t her right at all.

When the party finally came to an end, Zara knew that they couldn’t linger around for long. They had played enough, and it was time to go and rest.

They were returning to Dynalis the next day, so resting early was needed.

Diamond escorted them to the limo as she chatted with her mother and the two seemed to be having a private conversation, which made her very curious, but she still contained herself.

Before the car left, Diamond pulled Zara to the side and whispered in her ears, "Just follow your heart and do what you want. Your dreams will come true and all your effort will be paid!" her words were very vague and confusing that even when she reached the hotel, she was still lost in thoughts.

What kind of dreams did she have, by the way?

Unfortunately, when sleepiness overtook her, she didn’t have any spare time to think about anything else again.

The next morning, everyone rose early and ate breakfast before departing for the airport.

Diamond gave Zara a call and wished her a safe journey home, which she was very thankful for.

Being told that by another chosen one felt like an assurance that everything would fare well.

And surely it did.

There weren’t any issues along the way, and they flew back home safely and arrived in one piece.

Sitting in the car, traveling on a familiar road and hearing the language she grew up hearing and talking, Zara felt alive.

She was home.

She returned alive and well.

She was simply overwhelmed.

Even though she had lost Quinn during this trip, she had gained something much more than the loss was covered.

Also, judging by how easily her parents accepted Quinn’s departure, she could only helplessly accept that her parents had truly stopped liking each other for a very long time.

They indeed held a grudge, but still, weren’t they holding it against the wrong person?

But she wasn’t going to express that. Why should she attract aggro when someone else could take it for her?

Thinking about the wonderful grandparents she was going to see once she reached the mansion, Zara’s eagerness to go home was intensified.

She couldn’t wait.

Meanwhile, at the mansion, they were all anxiously waiting for the team to arrive. It’s been over a month. They were worried sick even when they were all safe and sound.

Pacing up and down in the front garden, the old couple kept on looking toward the gate, their ears at work listening to the sound of incoming cars.

Their grandchildren were also waiting outside, and the mothers were there as well. It was another gathering of family, something that didn’t happen daily at the mansion.

"They are here!" suddenly a maid excitedly yelled as she pushed her phone into her pockets, making all eyes look towards the gate where a few moments later, the gate opened and an entourage of cars drove inside.

"They are indeed here!" the old couple exclaimed happily, their wrinkles deepening as they watched the cars driving over.

As long as they were here, then they could all be at ease.

The few months had been hectic and chaotic. It was a period that they would never want to experience again.

They missed heaven several times.

If it weren’t for their strong will, they would be long gone while waiting for their granddaughter to be healed.

How could they not be jovial seeing her returning to them again?

It was a moment they needed to see personally and embrace with all that they have.

It was that precious.
