The next day, in the afternoon, Zara, her mother, Selena and Ashely were busy in the hotel’s salon where they were getting styled.

To prepare for the engagement party, they couldn’t go unprepared, so they were busy since morning.

They needed to buy gifts, find appropriate clothes to wear and other things.

They only had an hour remaining before the cars would come to pick them up. So, they were in a hurry.

The stylist fortunately knew how to do their job, and it didn’t take long before the four of them were dressed and ready to go.

Surely in time, they received a call that the pickup team was waiting for them downstairs, and the family of five plus a few bodyguards, Ava and Emma, went down to meet them.

When they arrived, they saw a stretched limousine waiting to pick them up, and the staff took the other cars provided by the hotel.

On their way to the unknown destination, Zara, being chatty, couldn’t help but be gossipy.

"Did you hear that the CEO is also getting engaged today?" she enthusiastically shared the news with the others.

"Um, I heard it when I was getting a massage. How come everyone in the city is getting engaged?"

"Hehe, getting married is a good thing. I am just curious if he looks good in person like he does in photos!" Ashely added, a curious smile on her face as she said so.

It was only today that Ashely saw how handsome the hotel’s young CEO was. He was the epitome of men. Unfortunately, she captured her own man and one who loved her dearly, disregarding who she was.

Either way, that wouldn’t stop her from complimenting or admiring those who were handsome.

"Hehe, he should be good-looking. But putting aside the Ace heir, what kind of family would make Diamond run around like that?" Zara once again fell into contemplation.

Was that family better than hers? What kind of relationship did they have for her to be so participative in their family matters?

Those were questions which haunted her all the way to the destination where this magnificent engagement party was to be held.

As the stretched limousine entered the gates, Zara was wowed as she looked at the fancy cars driving through the gate in front of them and behind them.

There were several distinctive cars already parked and the number of beautiful and handsomely dressed people was high.

The place was beautifully decorated from the gates and it made her look forward to the venue itself. With all the shenanigans she heard from Diamond that had been happening in the past few days, she was really curious about how it all turned out.

While the limo was making its way towards the parking lot, it attracted a lot of attention from the guests.

Who didn’t know this specific limo?

It was a car that those who were in the upper circle of Strawford City society knew pretty well. It belonged to the family which was holding the engagement party. One of the richest families in the city. A family to not be trifled with.

So many people came in attendance to look at the lucky lady who stole the heir’s heart. What did she have that they didn’t have for him to decide on her despite what they had been hearing?

The walls have ears, and people talk. It didn’t take long before it got leaked that there were superstitious events happening, and working against the hosting of this party.

Unfortunately, despite that happening, the venue seemed grander than it was expected to be. The ladies could only paste smiles on their faces, hoping that whatever they would see wouldn’t disappoint them.

On the other side, Zara’s car finally came to a halt and peeped through the window. A smile blossomed on her face as she spotted a familiar face.

However, the smile dropped as she spotted two similar faces walking side by side with Diamond.

’Who are those twins?’ Zara found herself feeling sour as she watched how close those three were.

Jealous drowned her and the smell of vinegar was too strong.

The whole family alighted from the car and by the time they were all outside, Diamond and the twins arrived as well.

"Sis, you are here!" Zara exclaimed with joy, her gaze fixated on Diamond, ignoring the twins as if she wasn’t seeing them.

Lena raised her eyes to the sky, chanting inwardly that this drama she wasn’t seeing at all. How could her daughter foolishly play this kind of game so badly like that?

Even if she was sour watching Diamond with other people, did she have to act blatantly like that?

However, shifting her gaze back to her daughter, she nearly wanted to face-palm as she found the other literally hanging onto Diamond like a koala, exchanging daggers with the twins, who were obviously not having it.

Unfortunately, Zara at this moment didn’t care at all. She just wanted to hang onto Diamond. As for the twins, who cared about them?

But when Diamond did the introductions after coaxingly letting her down, her face went pale.

’What did I just do?’

And the twins were gloating as they stuck their tongues teasingly at her.

Lena watching that, chuckled lightly finding this situation too funny. She gently held her daughter as they followed Diamond and the twins, whom they now knew to be the sisters of the man who was getting engaged. On top of that, the family holding the party happened to be the owner of the hotel where they were staying.

Unknowingly, they were attending the CEO’s engagement party when they heard the staff at the hotel talking about it.

Fated, right?

They were taken to the large hall where the engagement party was to be held and when they entered inside; the place was half filled already with soft music playing and the ambience was very good.

They were brought to a table with their name on it, and they settled there.

As the hall continued to fill in with people, the Hansleys started finding out that they might be one of the few white families around. And the feeling was quite new.

It felt very surreal. However, looking at these people, they knew not to underestimate them.

These people might be richer than them by far. They learnt that the hard way.

Just look at how calmly Diamond accepts 2,5 billion as if it were nothing.
