Chapter 223: MEETING AGAIN
Chapter 223: Chapter 223: MEETING AGAIN
"Are you sure that I look alright?" for the umpteenth time, Zara asked Emma, who was looking at her as she looked at her reflection in the mirror.
Emma sighed helplessly as she massaged her temples. "Miss, you look stunning. There is really no need to change anymore!"
Emma felt her head throbbing so badly as she looked at her nervous young miss.
That was the first time that she was in such a state. If she didn’t know who she was meeting, she would have assumed that she was going to meet her date or her in-laws and wanted to make a good impression.
But this was Diamond, the person they had spent a lot of time with whom didn’t care about much, really. Why was she going overboard like that?
Honestly, she didn’t understand it at all.
Unfortunately, her worries weren’t shared by the person she was serving.
Zara, after getting the acknowledgement that she wanted, beamed with excitement as she couldn’t wait to meet with Diamond after parting for so long.
Satisfied with her outfit and everything, Zara left her room with Emma tailing behind her. When she entered the common room, her parents were already waiting for her. They too were dressed elegantly, as if they were going to attend a ball.
Seeing them like that, Zara turned to look at Emma and rolled her eyes, her eyes speaking volumes.
Emma, being attacked from nowhere like that, scratched her nose as she inwardly felt amused at how her mistress’s family was truly very serious about this appointment.
Now she understood why her miss was buggering her so much like that. If she had dressed a little less, her parents would have surpassed her. What a good move she made.
The family of three dressed beautifully, left the suite and met with Selena and Ashely, who were staying in the opposite suite on the same floor.
The five family members left for the elevator. The Ace Hotel was heavily protected and ensured maximum safety, so there was no need for security to follow them to the restaurant.
Besides, in Athary, who knew them?
Zara was no longer that sickly and needed too much protection. So, the staff were excused and allowed to enjoy their free time.
It wasn’t every day that they got to do something like that.
Emma and Ava joined hands and decided to take a look around the hotel. There were so many interesting things for them to do, especially at night. They needed it. As for the bodyguards, some of them remained on duty while the rest decided to check the nightclubs and see what they had to offer.
Meanwhile, on the Hansleys family side, they took the elevator to the restaurant’s floor where they were taken to the private room that apparently Diamond had booked before they could do it.
Since it didn’t matter who booked first, they simply headed towards there, anticipating what was to come.
When they arrived at the private room, they weren’t surprised when they saw two bodyguards by the door. Either they were provided by the hotel or Diamond came with them. But knowing her, there was no way that she would bring bodyguards, right?
"Please, enter! She is waiting for you!" one of the bodyguards said in the universal language, motioning for them to enter the room.
"Thank you!" Lena politely responded before leading her family into the room, which happened to be very spacious.
As they walked into the room, the first thing that came into view was a luxury dining table set of eight and the attention grabber chandelier that looked so damn beautiful to go unnoticed.
Of course, setting those aside, a beautiful specimen of a human being stood with a smile as she was dressed beautifully, like the first time that Zara saw her.
Diamond stood with a smile, one that didn’t have any malice, hatred, or ill-intentions but was filled with joy, warmth and good intentions.
Her silver hair flowed smoothly across her shoulders, covering the bare shoulders left y her boob-tube evening gown she was wearing.
Despite having a new hair color looking at her closely now, Zara could see that it suited her perfectly. Now she really looked like a fairy, a deity-chosen one.
How can one be a chosen one without having distinctive features?
"Welcome back to Athary, guys!" Diamond welcomingly said with open hands as she walked towards them.
Zara beamed with joy as she increased her pace, taking the lead, as she was in a hurry to greet this beautiful sister of hers.
"Sister! It’s good to see you again!" Zara genuinely said as she threw herself into the open arms that seemed to be waiting for her.
Diamond smiled dotingly as she placed her hands on the tiny back of Zara and began to pat her gently.
"It’s good to see you again and standing on your feet!" Diamond genuinely said.
It wasn’t a good thing or a wonderful thing to be sick. Whether bedridden, stuck in a wheelchair or being sick while walking.
She too was once sick at some point, years of an unknown rash which made her lose face. She had to cover her body, wear long-sleeved clothes and didn’t dare remove the face mask from January to December.
She felt like a walking dead, but now all was well. She was very healthy. And who cared about the silver hair?
She got what she wanted. She remembered envying Zara for her white distinctive hair when she saw her. And now she got hers. It suited her even more perfectly. What’s there not to like?
The two embraced each other for a while before they separated.
Diamond greeted the rest of the family members and shortly, all of them were seated.
Diamond rang the bell to make an order and as they waited for the other to come and serve them, they started talking.
"I won’t be able to stay for long. So, after dinner, I will be leaving!" Diamond informed them as she looked at them apologetically.
Zara, hearing that, pouted sulkily as she asked, "Is it really busy?" as she looked at Diamond.
Diamond exhaled a dejected sigh, her expression saying it all.
