The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress -
Chapter 217: IT’S ALL OVER NOW
Chapter 217: Chapter 217: IT’S ALL OVER NOW
Zara felt much better once she explained her situation to everyone.
She didn’t go into detail about what really happened. She didn’t want to shock anyone or bring back the past. That was fine being hidden where it was.
They were no longer living for the past but for the future that awaited them.
After reassuring everyone that nothing like that would ever happen again, Zara saw everyone at ease.
On the day she woke up, she didn’t see Quinn at all, but she didn’t dare ask about his whereabouts. The last time she was with him alone, she could tell that Amir didn’t look quite right.
She made him misunderstand, and she didn’t want to cause any rifts in her marriage and relationship now that there was no longer any risk of dying again.
The next day, Zara received a full examination under the watchful eyes of many. And the report came out very clean.
She wasn’t sick and her body was working itself on the road to being healthy.
Her body was still small for her age, so she needed to work hard on that.
With her health confirmed, the heavy burden everyone had been carrying for a long time finally disappeared. And genuine smiles could be seen, at least on Zara’s parents’ faces.
As for Selena, her mind was already thinking about something. She couldn’t help but worry.
In the next two days, the two families started to talk seriously about Zara and Amir’s future. The weddings were done on a whim, with the assumption that Zara might not make it.
They didn’t even register the marriage, and that was something that they all needed to talk about on a serious note.
Zara was also present during these discussions. As the other person involved, her opinions mattered as well.
Her parents’ decision from the start was for Zara to stay with them for at least two to three years after getting better. Since they had never been together in a real sense all these years, they just wanted her by their side for a few years while she developed. Once the years pass, she could get married and start her life.
That train of thought coincided with the plans the goddess had for her.
She instructed her to enjoy her life with the family for two years before she started spreading the gospel again.
So, during these talks, she didn’t hide the matter and revealed it to everyone present.
"I agree with my parents about the two years idea. After two years, I am required to revive the temple and take it over. Which means that I will be moving here and leaving my parents over on that side! So, staying with them in these two years would mean so much to me!" she stated her thoughts as she looked at everyone, her gaze briefly staying for a bit longer on Amir.
The two families didn’t know about this at all. It was their first time hearing it. The most shocked were the parents. They never thought that their daughter would be working for a goddess and directly like that.
"Dear, you ..... will it be hard for you to do so?" Lena asked worriedly.
She had read somewhere about these deities and even saw the priestess who helped Zara. Religion shackled the priestess and couldn’t do many things that she wanted.
With how carefree her daughter was, wouldn’t she be in prison if she worked for the deity?
She understands that the goddess helped her daughter so much in removing the curse. But she didn’t want her daughter to lose her freedom just because of that. Even if the other party was a deity, selfishness was simply too much to bear.
Zara turned to look at her mother with a smile on her face and replied to her, "Mother. Don’t worry. It won’t be hard. Besides, it’s not as bad as you think. I will tell you more later!" giving a promise at the same time.
There were things that she couldn’t reveal to everyone gathering around her, but her mother was different. Why should she hide some of it from her?
The lady deserves to know some, at least.
When Lena got that assurance, she heaved with relief as her eyes calmed down. She trusted her daughter. She won’t do anything that she wasn’t sure of.
The discussion continued, and with the period picked, it was now a matter of whether there would be one or two weddings after two years.
Once again, the floor was left to Zara and Amir, who both shared their opinions.
"As long as I get married to her. It doesn’t matter how many weddings we hold!" Amir nonchalantly responded as he looked affectionately at Zara, whose neck and face were blushing furiously from the sugar he was spreading.
"Augh!" Elora made a vomiting sound as she stuck her tongue at her brother.
How can that cold and expressionless face spew such words like that?
However, Zara’s parents and family, hearing that all nodded with satisfaction.
What matters to them is how Amir would treat their daughter. They had spoiled her greatly and at the age where she was right now, it would be hard to put her back on the right path.
Whoever takes her must pamper her the same or even increase the dosage. So far, Amir seemed to over-pamper their child, and that made them happy.
The other party might suffer, but Zara mustn’t. it was a simple theory.
Zara, seeing everyone’s approval of her man, smiled smugly though the redness of her skin hadn’t completely disappeared.
"I want two weddings. This time, they should be grander. We will hold one in Dyanlis and the second one at the temple. I don’t mind about the venue and everything. Just make sure that it’s grand and my fans can accompany me on those days as well!" while suppressing her blushing, Zara stated what she wanted.
When she held the two weddings before, her fans didn’t get to participate and she felt really bad now that she thinks about it.
They were there from day one when she met Amir and collected her first relic until this very day. They have never stopped thinking about her. They were worried sick about her right now after not seeing her broadcasting for over a month.
Having so many people who worry about her, she wanted to share the happy moments with them. At the same time, she wanted to retain these people. The power of faith works in mysterious ways. These people with how much they love her. As long as she manages them well, she will be able to harvest some faith from them.
In the era of technology, broadcasting in the temple wouldn’t be a bad idea. She believed that the goddess would agree with her. It wasn’t like they belonged to the dark faction.
She was going to make use of the millions of global fans she had to rally the power of faith for her goddess. She was going to do her best to rise and make sure that this time she protected her loved ones and created an environment which would make her future children grow.
When they heard Zara’s choice, no one objected. It was as if they knew what she was going to choose. And since there were no objections, the two families started appointing one another the duties and Zara, unconcerned about their future preparations, just wished for this moment to end quickly.
Unfortunately, it took three more hours before the discussion ended and by then; it was time for dinner.
