The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress
Chapter 195: THE FIRST WEDDING 3

Chapter 195: Chapter 195: THE FIRST WEDDING 3

Zara walked with her arms hooked by her grandparents, something that she asked for.

Her grandparents had always doted on her, even more than her parents, in some sense. She owed these two a lot. She wanted to do so much for her, but she knew that she was limited.

At least on such a day, let the two walk her down the aisle. When she holds the second wedding, her parents will take that duty. Wasn’t this perfect?

"Be at ease, my darling!"

"Everything will be just fine!"

As she nervously walked down the aisle, with the veil covering her visage, Zara’s grandparents comforted her, feeling how nervous she was.

With her grandparents’ assurance and comfort, Zara found herself calming down.

’This wasn’t the end!’ she repeatedly told herself, cheering for more to come.

"Here comes the bride, here comes the bride ....." the wedding march continued getting played and Ashely’s melodious voice filled the place, making it easy for Zara to walk until she was all the way to the front.

Looking at her man, the lover who came into her life like a disaster, without warning and yet managed to cause a huge stir in her life, she felt very grateful.

She felt grateful for his appearance, his shamelessness and perseverance in never giving up until this very moment.

Just like others, her family members, he had given in to her demands and willfulness. For being able to tolerate her when she was like that, she was forever grateful.

She didn’t know how long this happiness was going to last, and as her grandparents handed her over to him, she sincerely prayed to her goddess, ’I will do anything that you want me to. Serve you for eternity, and never be willful again. Just let me live. Show me a way and give me some hope!’ a smile on her face, pretending that everything was okay as her hand finally was held by Amir’s.

Amir held her hand and brought her to the podium, where the two of them were going to exchange their vows.

The wedding can be said to be one of a kind. There was no officiator present, which means that unless they visited the courts to register their marriage, their marriage could be considered half-don.

This was something that the whole family agreed to. Since she wanted to wed, then she would wed, but as for registering, that should be put on hold. Regrets were common in the world. If something happens after the names are put together, what would they do?

So, they compromised, and this was the end result.

Watching from a distance, Quinn felt very sour. His heart felt as if it was being squeezed and the feeling wasn’t too great for him at all.

He didn’t want to watch this and yet if he didn’t and she looked for him, how would he respond to her?

He didn’t want to see her sad. All he ever wanted from the day she picked him up at the orphanage was to see her happy, safe and sound and, above all, healthy.

When he failed to find a cure for him, he just wanted her to live the remaining days of her life happy and leave without any regrets.

However, now that he was seeing her doing so, he regretted it.

Only if he was selfish enough. Wouldn’t he have stopped this from happening?

The man in him kept tempting him.

However, the brother in him didn’t want to see her sad. So, despite his feelings at this moment, he could only watch as those two emotionally exchanged their vows, making him feel discomfort again.

"Meeting you was the strangest and yet a fated meeting, one that I had never regretted. I still remember the first time that I saw you." as if the memories were surfacing in his mind, Amir smiled affectionately at Zara. His expression made Cade and Bradley feel like hammering the other for being so shameless, knowing where this was going.

Zara was curious about this part, actually. He had never shown her or revealed how he saw her in the past, and that had troubled her a lot. Although most of the time she would forget about the issue quickly, as she had a lot of other things to do.

So, hearing that he was willing to share that and in front of her family members, she looked forward to it so much.

"When I came to Dynalis, all I wanted was to seek a business deal, but never in a million years did I expect to end up gaining more than a deal!" with an earnest and grateful smile on his face, he said. "There were photos of you in your father’s study. And seeing how much he cherished them, I was curious about who that other person was. And that day happened to be a day when you probably informed your mother about the idea of traveling out and your mother was furious that day."

As he said that, she couldn’t help but recall the days leading to her departure. The day her mother was informed that she was leaving and that she didn’t want her to send her off, Emma told her how she threw a tantrum. And on that day, there was a guest at the mansion and Emma mentioned how the other was a foreigner and good-looking.

Now thinking about this, it seems that Emma had been holding too much information from her. Thinking about how Emma and maybe a few servants of hers knew about Amir but didn’t say anything, she gave them a glare for a brief moment, sending shivers down their spines.

"When I saw the photo album, I saw this adorable baby girl who had grown up with love. Everything about the little girl pulled me in and by the time I was done looking at it, I knew that I was a goner!" with a shy expression on his face as he exposed this shameful thing, he said, his gaze never leaving hers.

A hue of red appeared on her cheeks, feeling hot and her heart thumping at the knowledge that he indeed fell for her at first sight. Who falls in love with someone while looking at baby photos?

Amir was indeed very strange, and a man destined to love her. Didn’t he fulfil his promise?

He would fall for her at first sight and never waver.

That’s exactly what he did.
