Chapter 179: Chapter 179: THE NEVER-ENDING WORRY

Amir didn’t know what got into Zara, but whatever happened, he was grateful for it.

This was the first time that he heard such words and vows from her. It made him feel grateful.

"I love you, too. And will always do!" he couldn’t help but solemnly respond as he embraced her in his arms.

With her face blushing, Zara hummed as she buried her face in his chest.

The couple remained cozy for a while, listening to each other’s heartbeats without saying a word.

After a while, the two tacitly separated, and Amir’s deep gaze was on her.

"How are you feeling? Does your body feel okay?" suddenly recalling that the other was sleeping for a week, Amir asked worriedly.

Zara smiled at Amir, feeling giddy with all the worry that he was showing her, and responded, "I feel great. So don’t worry!" her gaze was on him.

When he heard that, Amir heaved a sigh of relief, the worry in his eyes disappearing. It’s been a hectic week for him and everyone. Hearing that she was faring well, he felt at ease.

Grabbing his hands, Zara began to coyly ask Amir’s questions.

"Dear, how long have I been sleeping? Did you find the bracelet? Where are we? Is everyone okay?"

Amir chuckled helplessly as he listened to the string of questions. How was she expecting him to answer so much at once?

Nonetheless, he still responded earnestly. It would be lame if he hid the truth from her. He didn’t want to lie to her if he could tell her the truth in any way.

So, when Zara heard what had been happening when she was busy dreaming, she was astounded.

How did she manage to sleep for a whole week?

If the dream had persisted for long, wouldn’t she be doomed if she woke up late?

Even if the dream somehow helped with the clues, if she woke up late. Then everything would be finished. She didn’t dare think about that.

Filled with anxiety, she asked Amir, "Did Sis Diamond find anything yet?" placing her hope on Diamond who helped locate the bracelet in the first place.

Amir shook his head as he responded, a dejected expression on his face, "She can only find the clues tomorrow. So, for now, we are stuck!" recalling how everyone had been badgering her for clues all this week.

Upon hearing that, Zara deflated for a moment before her eyes lit up.

"It’s fine. We will do it! For now, I want to see everyone. I might have some clues!" she said, ready to share what she had seen in her dreams with others.

When Amir heard that, his eyes lit up as well, as he looked at her, a smile on his face. Relief and hope are visible in his eyes.

Without wasting any more time, Amir scooped Zara out of the bed, grabbed a fleece blanket from the side and carried the other out of the room.

Meanwhile, downstairs, the Hansleys and the Frostcrowns were gathered in the living room talking about the day.

"In-laws, don’t worry too much. I still believe that we will get what we want. The deities would never forsake us!" Bianca comfortingly said as she looked at Zara’s parents, who weren’t faring well with the fact that they might not be able to find the bracelet in time.

When the two families were speaking, they used the universal languages since they didn’t understand each other’s language.

Unlike Amir, who could speak Dynalis’s language, Bianca, and the rest of the Frostcrowns weren’t like that.

Lena sighed helplessly as she thought of what these past few days were like.

Looking for the bracelet was like searching for a needle in a haystack.

In this past week, they had collected all sorts of bracelets they could think of. Even other families contributed their family’s heirlooms, just in case it was the bracelet that they were looking for.

Since there was no image to compare which bracelet was needed, they could only collect anything that resembled a bracelet.

And still, the worry didn’t lessen.

"For now, we can only pray that Zara wakes up fast. Maybe with her awake, we can find what we need faster!"

"That’s true. We can only hope!"

As the two families chatted, suddenly one of the maids appeared in the living room, panting and a hint of a smile in her eyes.

Wondering what she was doing here without being summoned, Bianca was about to chastise the maid when she announced excitedly, "Masters, the young mistress is awake!" her body shaking with excitement as she said so.

"W—what?"

"What did you just say?" Bianca stood on her feet, her body trembling as she pointed at the maid, looking for clarification.

The maid repeated, this time a bit toned down, but her excitement still remained, "The young mistress is awake and master Amir is bringing her down as I speak!" adding more flesh to the skeleton.

As soon as that was said, Bianca looked at Cade and his family, who didn’t understand what was being said and translated for them, tears of joy pooling in her eyes.

"In-laws, Zara is awake and Amir is bringing her down!" she couldn’t help but say, sharing this good news with everyone.

It wasn’t just the Hansleys who had it tough during this week. Even her family was on the verge of collapsing. No one would understand how everyone in the family was looking forward to the arrival of Zara, their nuptials and everything.

And yet just when they thought that something good was about to happen, she just had to collapse and her life hanging by the thread.

If something unexpected happened to Zara, what would happen to their son?

Just thinking about Amir returning to the old him, Bianca had become a pious and devout worshiper in the past week. She just didn’t dare imagine what a future without Zara in her son’s life was.

That was why, no matter how gloomy Cade was, though she understood why he was like that. She tried her best to warm up to the family and make them feel like one.

Even if this marriage was unexpected, and her son was marrying someone from a completely different continent and beliefs, the fact that he set his eyes on her was enough to make everything else devoid.

Besides, just like the family’s tradition, whoever fits that ring becomes the wife. It was something that was passed down in the family for generations. However, only a few couples were matched thanks to the ring.

After three generations, the ring finally learnt how to do its job. Didn’t this show that the two were fated?
