Chapter 178: I LOVE YOU

Chapter 178: Chapter 178: I LOVE YOU

Amir sat on the chair as he looked at Zara sleeping beautifully there without any signs of waking up.

Although he trusted Diamond, seeing how omnipotent she was, he couldn’t help but have doubts as well.

How was she sure that Zara would wake up?

It’s been a week, and there were no signs.

There wasn’t even a breakthrough regarding the bracelet issue. With her in a slumber like that, they were literally useless when it came to finding the relic.

Even if they got it, they wouldn’t know because this time there was no picture, no drawing whatsoever to use as reference and the one person who could identify wasn’t even awake.

It was too difficult for everyone, including him as well.

He just prayed to the goddess that she would help Zara and let her wake up before it was too late.

As he earnestly prayed like that, suddenly, Zara’s hands started moving.

Before he could react, her eyelashes started fluttering and at the speed they were moving, he was certain that just like Diamond said earlier; she was indeed going to wake up any second.

And that second happened to be now.

Looking at her with excitement written all over his face, Amir didn’t dare touch Zara but waited patiently for her to wake up naturally without any pressure.

Meanwhile, on Zara’s side, after watching the whole drama of Mir creating the pendant of eternity, she began to think hard about the bracelets that might mean a lot to her to the extent of becoming relics.

And since she still was locked in the dream space, she decided to use this chance to take a look at every single bracelet that she had seen ever since she started living at the temple.

Like a movie, Zara found herself traversing through time and this time, rather than concentrating on her heart-wrenching story of hers, her eyes were all on the jewelry that she had ever owned or rather saw in the temple.

After goodness how long, and when she was almost giving up since all the bracelets, she saw weren’t qualified to become relics.

She didn’t have any feelings towards them that were so strong and made her think that this was it.

When she was about to give up, suddenly she found herself recalling a certain memory.

The first time she was in the presence of the goddess. The day she was picked and chosen to become the saintess. The day her life changed. When the goddess changed her name, from Phoebe to Zahrah. A very meaningful day.

On that day, she could barely see the goddess’s face. It shined so brightly; it was so blinding.

However, her clothes were so beautiful, she couldn’t help but take a second glance.

Since she was able to see the clothes, she managed to see the jewelry on her body as well.

Rather than saying a bracelet, what she was an armlet- a vine armlet which was on the goddess’s arm and something about it caught her attention.

It looked simple to the eyes and yet at that moment she felt as if it emitted a strong energy, the kind she felt whenever the sick offered incense and prayers in her presence.

Was it faith energy?

She wasn’t sure. However, that armlet’s presence in her mind was simply so strong that it made her feel excited.

What if they were looking for an armlet and not a bracelet?

If everyone was searching according to that, then wouldn’t a lot of time be wasted?

With that in mind, she suddenly felt panicked that she wanted to wake up.

She didn’t know if the armlet the goddess once wore could be found in this mundane world but at this stage what wasn’t possible anymore?

She might as well believe that it was possible and give her a try.

If her thoughts were wrong, then rely on Diamond to find the exact location of the bracelet. There were still two tries before the deadline was reached, anyway.

With such urgency, Zara fought her way out of the dreamscape. After a long struggle, her eyes finally snapped open.

"Amir!" and the first person she saw was him, she couldn’t help but call out to him sweetly, her eyes oozing with affection and tears unconsciously falling as she recalled how hard it was for him in their first lives.

What did she do to deserve such a man?

Amir was happy and then confused upon seeing Zara’s changing emotions in such a short period.

He couldn’t help but swiftly move to the bed where he scooped her in his arms and coaxed softly, his tone very reassuring, "Baby, everything is fine. I am here"

He didn’t know what she saw when she was sleeping but whatever it was, he must have been there in it and it wasn’t anything good.

Zara sniffled as she snuggled in his arms, rubbing her face all over, making sure that she was no longer dreaming.

Amir chuckled lightly seeing what she was doing and just let her play to her heart’s content.

After reassuring herself that this was definitely not a dream, Zara raised her small face and looked at Amir, the man who had loved her loyally in both lives and never wavered.

"I love you!" and attacked suddenly, catching Amir completely off-guard.

There were a few times that Zara confessed her love to Amir.

At first, she felt that she was being forced by fate and she didn’t want to say it. Then next, when she accepted her relationship with him, telling him just didn’t feel quite right. It was as if she was saying it since she would end up with him one way or the other.

And when she found out how deep her connection with Amir was for the first time, her feelings for Amir deepened. But there were few chances for her to profess her love for him.

However, now that she saw with her own eyes just how wonderful Amir was, and how her past incarnation might have loved Amir but was completely clueless, she couldn’t help but want to let him know her feelings.

If Zahrah didn’t like Mir, why would she constantly go to find him and feel great by just being in his presence?

Unfortunately, she was a fool who didn’t know much about relationships. Otherwise, she might have sought guidance and understood why she was like that.

They might have been fated in the first life but due to Walter and the dark faction interference, their fate was cut short. And now that fate was in full bloom.

So, what was wrong with her with doing some professing of her own?

Her gaze fixated on Amir, Zara couldn’t help but beamed at him seeing how stunned he was by her confession and repeated, this time a bit slower, "Amir, I love you. In this life, my life will belong to you always!" fulfilling the vow she once said when she saw herself disappearing in Mir’s arms the day she died.

Since she made a vow, wasn’t it only right to fulfil it?
