Chapter 164: Chapter 164: MEMORIES RESURFACED
She was in panic, as she saw the mission in bold repeatedly, like a plague.
Seeing it, Zara was feeling as if she had forgotten something and whatever it was, it was very important.
She was all silent as she returned to the manor.
Honestly, thinking about where she had to go, Zara knew pretty well that she had to talk to Amir about it. After all, the bracelet was in his kingdom.
This time, the book didn’t even tell her where to find the bracelet but gave her a vague location. The kingdom was big, so where was she going to find it?
Her anxiety levels couldn’t help but rise the more she thought about it.
Amir, on the other hand, didn’t know what was happening to Zara, but whatever it was, it was bad.
Since he didn’t know what to do and how to deal with this situation, he could only hold her hand in comfort.
When they arrived, Amir didn’t look that surprised by the place. In fact, he had booked a villa ever since he knew that Zara would be staying at the manor a while ago.
He was also a neighbor, living in one of the villas.
"You take a rest. I will look for you in a while!" as soon as they arrived Amir said to Zara.
At this moment, she wasn’t thinking straight, so she simply agreed before motioning for Emma to take her inside her villa.
Amir watched as Zara was wheeled into an absentminded state, and he couldn’t help but wonder what happened to her when they had been together all this time.
He was very puzzled.
However, he didn’t get to have a chance to remain like that for long as Quinn approached him.
"We need to talk!" Quinn coldly stated, leaving no room for compromise.
Amir seeing this young man who didn’t like surrendering despite losing all the time, nodded his head. He wasn’t in a good mood as well, so he might as well go and have a chat. Who knows if he might be better by the time the conversation was done?
On Zara’s side, after entering the bedroom, she chased everyone away. She just wanted to be alone. She could sense a surge of memories she seemed to have forgotten resurfacing.
Flashes were surfacing, and her head was aching. Whatever was going to surface, she didn’t want it happening in front of her people. If they asked her what was going on, how was she supposed to answer that?
She needed some time.
And surely, that choice was for the best as in the next hour, tears were streaming down her cheeks.
Who would have known that she had forgotten such a crucial thing?
She couldn’t help but laugh mockingly at herself.
When she thought that her life was on the right track, the real nightmare seemed to be starting. How could this be happening?
To think that she only has two months to do everything, find the remaining two relics and perform the ritual ceremony.
If she fails to find the first relic, she is already doomed. Not finding the first relic also meant not getting the location of the final relic as well as the process of how to remove the curse.
With the book giving her a vague location like this, Zara felt like she was doomed already.
If she had been given the image of the bracelet, she would have at least known where to start, but with the little amount of information, it was starting to feel as if she was doomed to die.
She was given just a few more months to have her hopes up before getting dashed.
How could she live like this?
Was the goddess forsaking her as well?
Otherwise, was this what she called looking after you?
How did this show the love of the goddess towards her?
The more she thought about it, the sadder she became.
She didn’t know what to do or how to proceed. She didn’t dare tell her parents that she had only two months remaining.
If she told them that, wouldn’t she have to explain what was truly going on?
She didn’t even tell them truthfully about the curse, and now she was going to be doomed.
If it was like this, then she might as well keep the truth to herself.
This way, even if she fails to get everything in the end, when she passes, it won’t hurt as much as knowing beforehand that it was coming.
This time she was going to suffer alone without bringing other people into it.
That was her thought this time.
While lamenting and riddled with anxiety, the door was knocked suddenly.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
"Miss, it’s me, Emma. Miss Diamond is here and is saying that she must meet you!" Emma said without entering the door.
’Diamond! There is her!’
Upon hearing Emma’s announcement, Zara’s downcast eyes suddenly lit up.
How could she have forgotten about this person?
From the beginning, it was as if she knew what was happening to her without her talking about it. If she was here, didn’t it mean that she might have a clue as to what was happening to her and have a solution to her problems right now?
"Emma, let her in!" Zara hurriedly called out; hope ignited in her again.
Moments later, the door opened, and a casually dressed Diamond stepped in.
Looking at Diamond, Zara couldn’t help but wonder when she arrived and when she changed. However, that wasn’t the case right now. All she wanted to know was why she was there and if she could help her.
Emma kindly closed the door, leaving the two of them in the room.
Zara adjusted her sitting posture on the bed, looking hopefully at Diamond, who was smiling reassuringly at her before she sat down on the bed.
"Sis, I ....."
"I know. It must be scary, right?" Diamond softly asked, a comforting smile on her face as she took hold of Zara’s hands.
Upon hearing that, Zara’s eyes suddenly welled with tears.
’She knew. She knew everything. Thank goodness!’ and the floodgates opened.
