After paying for the items, Zara felt very happy. She might have not won some things, but the ones she got were excellent in many ways. So, she was gratified.

With everything packed and taken care of by the guards, Zara and Amir finally left their box. Amir pushed Zara slowly, afraid of moving too fast and bringing any harm to his beloved.

And the two were chatting, their flirtation forcing the others to give them more space.

"Zara!"

As they headed for the exit, suddenly someone called out to Zara and she hearing that familiar voice, turned her head swiftly, excitement written all over her face, surprising Amir, who wasn’t expecting to see anyone who knew Zara in the auction.

"Big sis!" Zara called out excitedly.

’Who is she?’ he couldn’t help but wonder as he turned to look at the caller as well.

And when he saw the other person, he momentarily froze, stunned by what he saw.

Meanwhile, Zara’s eyes at the moment were fixated on Diamond, who she had spotted several hours ago before Amir stole all her attention with his arrival.

Honestly, she wasn’t expecting to see Diamond, or at least to talk while they were here. So, she was both surprised and happy when the other called her.

Diamond still was with her two handsome companions and looking at them closer, Zara couldn’t help but feel amazed.

Thankfully, in her eyes, Amir was still the best. Appearances can be deceiving. To her, it was the heart and soul which mattered.

It didn’t take long before the three were right in front of her.

"I didn’t think that you would be attending the auction. If I knew, we could have come together!" as soon as Diamond was in view, she said, her tone a bit regretful.

Hearing that, Zara flushed. How could Diamond have known when they parted on slightly bad terms yesterday?

Nevertheless, a response was required, so she sheepishly said, "Hehe, it’s still great that we met again!" interlacing her fingers for support.

Diamond winked at her playfully before her gaze shifted to Amir, who was guarding her and suddenly asked, "And who might this gentleman be?" her curiosity out in the open for all to see.

Zara, seeing that Diamond spotted Amir, beamed as she gave Amir a quick glance before she started making introductions, like an excited child.

In an affectionate voice, she said, "Big sis. Meet Amir, he is my fiancé and just arrived today!" her eyes sparkling with so much love, it made Diamond’s teeth ache so bad. Fortunately, her expression was on point that Zara didn’t see it.

Continuing with the introductions, Zara said as she turned to Amir for a bit, "Dear, meet Diamond. A big sister I became close with on arrival. We both stay in the same manor. We are neighbors!" before shifting back to Diamond.

Amir, hearing that, heaved with relief. It would have been a mess if it was otherwise. But knowing that they lived in the same residence, it made sense why the other knew Zara. But why was this Diamond speaking fluent Dynalis even better than him?

Diamond smiled lightly at Amir, her expression not eager or affectionate. In simple words, she didn’t look that much interested in Amir, which was a relief for Zara and the ladies who were anxiously watching this.

Diamond was beautiful and something about her aura made people unconsciously look at her. She was the kind of person who could easily draw people in without doing much. She looks stronger, more confident and determined than Zara. They couldn’t help but be worried.

After all, Zara was at an advantage in many ways.

Fortunately, Diamond didn’t seem to care much.

"It’s nice to meet you and thank you for looking after Zara!" since the introductions had been made, Amir said in response, exchanging pleasantries.

With a faint smile on her face, Diamond returned the courtesy as well before introducing her friends to Zara. "These two are my close friends, Wyatt and Nolan," since Zara had done the same before.

Zara smiled politely and extended her greetings to the two guys who were very troublesome to look at. They were both tall and had great features, which made one feel shy at a glance.

With all greetings and introductions done, the two groups came together, and all began to walk towards the exit. On the way, it was more of Diamond and Zara chatting.

Outside, just when Zara thought that they were going to team up and return to the manor together, suddenly a group of men dressed in black walked towards Diamond and before she could ask what was happening, Diamond bade her farewell before she and her two friends followed the men in black somewhere.

Zara was worried watching all that. Could it be that Diamond was in danger?

Her weak heart felt as if it was going to suffer a seizure. Fortunately, both Amir and Quinn assured her.

"You don’t have to worry about her."

"Um, she is not a simpleton."

"She is definitely stronger than me and those men combined. So be at ease."

Hearing that, she was relieved but, on the way, back to the manor, it suddenly dawned on her what she had been told. How can a woman be stronger than all those men when she looks like that?

She had never seen such women before. Even her female bodyguards weren’t as strong as the male bodyguards, so it was a first.

And the fact that even Quinn admitted that fact showed that this big sister wasn’t as simple as she looked to be.

With that knowledge, Zara knew that there wasn’t much to be worried about Diamond anymore. It was better to enjoy her moments with Amir and see what the next day has to offer.

However, as the cars entered the manor gates, suddenly the book, which had been silent for over a day, appeared in her conscious, startling her in place as it had never done something like this before.

It always shows up when she is alone and not when she is surrounded like this.

Seeing it appearing like that, Zara suddenly had a bad premonition, but she couldn’t avoid it, as seconds later, the Golden Book opened itself and words started appearing on the blank page.
