Chapter 160: Chapter 160: AUCTION 3

Amir smiled affectionately as he looked at the girl, his beloved, and the person who was destined with him from the very first day.

Only the goddess understands and knows how much he has been missing her ever since they parted ways.

But he understood that he couldn’t be with her always and as another man’s daughter, she needed to be with her family.

He was going to spend the rest of his life with her anyway, so why be anxious?

Walking towards her with familiarity while ignoring the familiar scorching gaze on him, he opened his mouth, and said in response to her affectionate welcome, "Um. I am here. I hope that I am not too late!" in fluent Dynalis.

As a man of great and many talents, what he wants to learn, no one and nothing can stop him from achieving that.

Zara beamed at Amir, her eyes expressing unconditional love which made a lot of mommy and husband fans in her broadcast wail with agony, watching that interaction.

The most affected was Cade, who was at work but currently slacking off as he watched the broadcast. Curious about the auction, he clicked on the LIVE, but who would have known that the thief who was planning on stealing his beloved would appear shamelessly like that?

He doubted that the other didn’t know that his daughter was livestreaming. Was he that eager to make his claim?

In Zara’s eyes, how could he be late?

The fact that he still came to her and on this day especially, she was so jubilant.

Shaking her head shyly, her gaze never leaving Amir, who was a short distance away from her, she still answered his remark, "The auction is yet to start, so you aren’t late. But since you didn’t come to me earlier, then I will punish you!" harrumphing as she raised her chin nonchalantly like a small ruffian.

Seeing her acting cute, like a kitten brandishing her claws, Amir stopped in front of Zara and crouched down so that they were both facing each other.

Zara looked at the face she saw mostly on the screen, and couldn’t help but unconsciously raised her gloved hand towards it.

Amir didn’t say anything but merely watched, waiting to see what the little princess had planned for him.

Watching from the side, Quinn’s chest was heaving with fury. His fists were clenched and his teeth gritted together. It felt like a few would definitely suffer.

Seeing Amir in person after their last altercation, he hated himself so much for being weak and too complacent.

He thought that their affair was sorted and settled. As long as he remains by her side faithfully, one day they would still end up together. But never in a million years did he ever think that someone would come from nowhere and swoop the girl he literally raised, took care of and protected with all he had just like that.

And what hurt the most was how Zara loved this person so much. He could see it in the way she was caressing his face, her eyes only shining for Amir, and the vibe between the two was something that couldn’t be questioned.

This was what Amir called when he lost the one-on-one fight the other time, fate. Amir and Zara were fated to be together. So where did he fit into the whole equation?

Fortunately, the lovebirds didn’t spend too much time sending sparks to each other as moments later, a beautiful lady appeared signifying the start of the auction.

***

Zara felt more excited being with Amir than at the auction. After all, Amir had somehow gotten more handsome than before. And perhaps the thought that she and he knew each other in their first lives, and how much he loved her, she couldn’t help but be more biased towards him.

Seeing Amir brought back memories. Memories of what happened yesterday before going to sleep.

She really has three relics on her, with the most surprising relic being the pendant her grandmother gave her. To think that Amir loved her so much that he did that for her, honestly, she felt indebted to him.

She didn’t know if he recalled his past life like her. Regardless of that, however, she was going to do her best to love him more to compensate for what she couldn’t give him back in the day.

The two of them sat next to each other, with her left hand, the one with the ring in his hand, sending butterflies to her stomach.

Standing at the podium, this voluptuous lady in emerald green had already started the auction and enticing bids from the attendants.

Watching as numerous items were sold at ridiculous prices, Zara finally understood the joy of being at an auction.

Halfway through the auction, she was feeling a bit bored. She didn’t see anything that she fancied, and she was wondering if she would ever find something.

Then suddenly, the lady in emerald brought out something covered by a cloth to the front, enticing curiosity from everyone in attendance.

"What we have here is something that will make the ladies go wild, have their hearts race and above all, it’s a special symbol of love. A relic from the past and one filled with memories!" the lady started announcing the next item on the list, her mouth narrating a bit of history about whatever was going to come out.

Hearing about this next item, Zara’s interest was piqued. She couldn’t help but wonder what was really there, and she wasn’t alone on that matter.

After the sugar-coated description was done, the cover was removed and voila, a golden cuff bracelet came into view.

At first, Zara wondered why the bracelet was so special, but when she heard the current bid on the bracelet, her mind started racing.

Amir, seeing that Zara was a bit confused, decided to lend some help and explain a bit to her. This way, if she likes it, he will buy it for her.
