Chapter 138: DO YOU BELIEVE IN FATE?
Chapter 138: Chapter 138: DO YOU BELIEVE IN FATE?
Ever since Zara returned from shooting the show, her life hasn’t got freer but rather it has gone busier than before.
With a few days remaining till the time, she was supposed to depart for Orkney. Everyone in the mansion was very busy.
Just to be safe, a day before her departure, her family invited a seer. One of the few seers who looked at her many years back and gave her the death sentence.
Although she didn’t die and it might seem as if they have all lied, the family knew why Zara was alive. These people could see, it’s just that what they were dealing with was something that they couldn’t fight against, thus the misdiagnosis was never their fault.
So, on this day, Zara sat in the living room with her parents. The other siblings weren’t invited at all. With all the drama which had happened before, her parents became more wary.
Sometimes it isn’t the outsiders who can bring you down, but rather the people closest to you who can do that.
And since they didn’t want to cause too much trouble, the meeting with the seer became that of the three of them.
Sitting on the couch, surrounded by fluffy blankets and bundled up in warm clothes, Zara looked at the blind seer in front of her with curiosity.
She used to not believe in the deity stuff. After all, if they truly existed, would they have just watched as her life slipped by slowly like that and as she suffered without doing anything?
However, the appearance of the Golden Book changed all that. There were some higher powers out there, very strong and capable of doing what ordinary human beings couldn’t do.
Maybe this woman here could see something as well. And Zara was curious to know what this blind seer knew. After all, who knows what the higher powers might pass to her through the seer?
However, when the seer opened her mouth and started talking, Zara began to wonder if it was too late to change her mind.
"Curiosity, doubt, resentment, gratitude and confusion. I sense all that from you. You resent them for ignoring your plight and making you near meet your end. At the same time, you are thankful that despite turning a deaf ear to your plight, they still came to you and gave you hope, a chance to live again."
"You doubt and sometimes wonder why it is you in the first place. Why, among the millions of souls, did you have to be this unlucky? But child, by now you should know and understand one thing; fate. When fate marks you, it doesn’t matter where you hide. It will still find you and everything will go as predestined."
"You are confused as to why everything just had to happen and happen now of all the times. You have so many questions, child, but always bear in mind that when it comes to fate, time is always the best answer. With time, all the knots will start to untangle themselves. All the answers will start getting revealed and all shall make sense."
"You are curious about everything, which isn’t a bad thing. Just like I said earlier, leave everything to fate. As long as you grasp the chance to change everything and fight for your life, then everything else won’t matter."
"I will not beat around the bush for much longer, but child bear in mind that with everything that you are going through. Be it the sickness, the recovery, the dreams and the mysterious connections, you just can’t help but doubt why. Always remember that you need to follow your gut."
"Your intuition and instincts are pretty good. Never doubt it and you will get the answers that you seek pretty fast. As long as you follow it, without any doubt or questioning, you will be saved. There is not much time remaining. The odds are working against you despite the progress that you are making."
"You are a blessed child and in your previous life, you accumulated a lot of good karma and thanks to that, you are fighting and struggling for your life right now. However, if you are lax in what you do, the dark forces will have an upper hand over you and we don’t want that."
"Despite the darkness that never rests, as it fights with your destiny every single second, you still continue to shine. You are a blessed child, Zara. The one born to make others radiate, shine and make their lives blossom. That is, you, child."
"So, no matter what you do, continue to fight because the moment you stop, all the effort the dark ones put into getting you will work and they will succeed. Don’t give up or the goddess has never forgotten about you. So never give up on her. You are and still are her favorite child!"
Zara wished she could cover that seer’s mouth. What the heck was she talking about in front of her parents like that?
It was already too much for her that the lady seemed too knowledgeable about her second round than what she was when first came. To think that she could say something like that which didn’t seem to make sense and yet to her, it made perfect sense. Zara felt strongly about having that woman shut her mouth and stop scaring her parents.
The fact that even a seer, a stranger, could see that time was fighting against her, meant that whoever placed the curse on her, that person was probably fighting too as well right now. Since the goal was to make her die horribly, that person wouldn’t rest until the goal had been achieved.
But how could the seer say something like that in front of her parents? That was a secret that she had been hiding for months.
When she got the golden book, she knew that she didn’t have much time to play and fool around. She was given at most a year to collect all relics, otherwise failure to do so would result in her untimely death.
That was an important fact she had brushed aside and pretended as if it didn’t exist and now, she had been reminded of it. Not just her, but made her parents very wary and suspicious as well.
And her heart sank further when she heard her mother asking, "I don’t understand most of what you were saying but from what I have gathered, are you trying to tell me that my baby doesn’t have long to live?" her voice shaking and red blazing red.
However, it sank further when the blind seer didn’t respond to her mother. but turned to look in her direction and asked, "Do you believe in fate?" drawing Zara into the battlefield.
’It’s going to be a long day!’
