Chapter 122: Chapter 122: BIRTHDAY BANQUET 6
However, her curiosity about the gifts didn’t surpass her great desire to eat some food, so the thought was cast aside when it was announced to be that segment where people could eat and interact.
That was probably the first banquet, which wasn’t going to last for a long time, but everyone felt that it was worth it. After all, what they had seen on that day enlightened them greatly.
[You better not let princess eat porridge today. I swear I will boycott your products.]
[Let her eat something nice, we beg!]
Zara’s fans, knowing that it was mealtime, began to send comments once again, others threatening and others just feeling sorry. However, the majority of the people were just worried about her diet, after all, with all the kind of food they had seen her eating; they didn’t want to imagine her eating plain porridge and milkshake on such a day.
Emma, reading the comments, failed to contain her laughter. She had to go and tell Zara about the fans’ worry.
When she read the comments, her eyes squinted into slits before she started talking, her words directed at the fans watching.
"Hello guys, it’s been a while, right? Thank you for accompanying me on such a special day and sorry for not being able to entertain you. I can see that you are worried but don’t worry, I don’t think that I will be having such a menu. Didn’t you see me eating cake earlier?"
[Don’t fool us! That was just one bite! What is the difference between that and not eating?]
"Pfttt~" Zara choked when she saw that particular comment. "You .... I will eat later!"
[Hehe, they better feed you!]
[We aren’t joking!]
"Haha, you guys are pretty funny!" she burst into a soft chuckle as she raised her head only to meet her mother’s gaze.
"Mom, they are protesting. Hehe, they said you better feed me nice food, or they will boycott the family’s products!" Zara snitched straightaway, stifling her laughter while doing so.
Lena even chuckled upon hearing that. She couldn’t help but say as she peeped at the tablet’s screen, "Don’t worry. I can starve, but I will never starve my princess. And thank you for your love all these years. This means so much to us!" addressing the frenzy fans.
[Mother, you look beautiful!]
[You shameless person! How dare you call her mother?]
[What should we call her then?]
[Queen dowager!]
[Haha, you guys are funny!]
[We will be watching.]
[What’s taking them long?]
Seeing the eager fans and viewers, Lena became interested in these crazy people. She couldn’t help but take the tablet from Zara.
"The food is about to arrive. You eat and Mom will entertain them for you!" Lena reminded cautiously before shamelessly stating.
Zara and her father both looked at Lena, speechless at how thick-skinned she was. How could she say something like that so smoothly, as if it was normal?
Wasn’t she going to eat as well?
Unfortunately, Zara underestimated her mother’s interest in what she was doing.
****
Two hours later, Zara sat in her wheelchair, shaking hands with the last person since she was going home.
After spending several hours outside already, it was time for her to go back home. Even if she didn’t want to return, she was forced to do so.
She was getting drowsy, and the medicine needed to be taken. But before that, the doctors at home needed to do another checkup for her. Besides, she was starting to feel tired, and she didn’t mean to wear a damn oxygen mask, ruining her current look with so many people surrounding her.
"Thank you for coming. It means a lot to me!" Zara politely said to the woman in front of her.
"The pleasure is all mine. And thank you for becoming better!" the woman said kindly, looking at her.
This woman was one of her mother’s friends and someone who knew a bit about her condition all these years, so it didn’t touch a chord when she said that.
Zara beamed at the woman, accepting her kind intentions.
With everyone greeted and her head buzzing with so many names to remember, it was time for them to go home.
Glancing around in search of someone since it was her and her grandparents going home with the rest of the family remaining behind to entertain the guests since there was a party later, her eyes lit up upon finding her target.
"Baby, who are you looking for?" Lena, seeing her daughter glancing around, asked.
Zara grinned playfully as she looked at her mother before saying, "Mom, can you call the fourth sister over? I want her to push me to the car!" blinking cutely at her mother, rendering her weak to reject her.
Facing such a deadly act from her daughter, Lena could only send someone to call Ashely who was busy talking to a group of people, smiling widely as she enjoyed herself.
Zara watched with interest as the person sent by her mother informed Ashely of the instruction and how Ashely’s face changed a few shades of colors.
Seeing her like that, Zara hmphed to herself, ’Let me see you provoke me again! How can you have fun on your own when I am about to go experience all that on my own?’ obviously showing how grudgeful she could be.
When Zara left, Ashely was the one wheeling her and complaining to Zara about her antics.
The elders watched humorously as the two siblings bantered with each other. Seeing them so close like that, they were filled with mixed emotions.
It wasn’t a secret in the family what happened between the two. Among all the siblings, they even thought that Zara would be closer to others but not Ashely and yet she seemed to love this sister of hers more than the rest.
They couldn’t help but think of all the drama and chaos Ashely caused because of Zara.
Was that how sisterly bonds were made nowadays?
They felt as if they were getting older as they thought of that.
Life was indeed filled with the unknown. No one really knows what the future holds. And that could be seen with how close and intimate the two sisters were.
Maybe it was such a forgiving and big heart which made her fortunate to receive such a miraculous encounter.
Their princess was a blessed child and looking at her teasing her sister, they were filled with hope.
The hope that kept on flattering all this time was finally getting reignited strongly.
She will get better!
