The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress
Chapter 102: SAVED BY THE BELL

Chapter 102: Chapter 102: SAVED BY THE BELL

Lying on the bed she hadn’t slept on for months, Zara had her eyes closed as she thought of what had happened earlier.

Just thinking about it she wanted to laugh desperately but she knew that by doing so, all the efforts of her loved ones would be wasted.

Back then, Zara wasn’t suffering from something as deadly as what everyone imagined it to be. Rather, her father’s sudden outburst took her by surprise. She had never seen the man angered in front of her before.

Her father had always carried that image of a lovely and doting father. And never once had she seen him angry. Of course, she knew that the man had a temper but knowing and seeing it in person were two completely different things.

By the time she was carried out of the mansion, her heart was already settled but Ava and Emma being too concerned about her wellbeing, she had no choice but to let them do as they wished.

As a result, less than an hour after she was settled in her villa, a group of familiar doctors dropped by and had her go through several intense tests which left her very dizzy and too tired to open her eyes or even say a single word.

The machines she loathed so much were now once again connected to her body. Just in case something dramatic and serious happens, her parents were not leaving room for error.

Thinking about how much she hated these machines, Zara could only sigh helplessly as she looked forward to getting all the relics which she was still not yet sure how many they were at the moment.

The sooner she gets them, the sooner she will get healed and be normal. How could she continue to live like a person on life support like that?

However, it felt good to have a lot of people very worried about her. And knowing that both her mother and father had scolded and reprimanded Selena, she was feeling good.

That woman was always acting as if the mansion was still her home when she had been divorced years ago. For crying out loud, her father married three wives and had two mistresses. So why was she acting so high and mighty when she failed to keep her man?

Her mother was a winner, and it was thanks to her that she was showered with so much love like that. For that reason, she was going to work hard to get everything done so that she could live.

At least the Golden Book wasn’t aiming for her life that badly, otherwise it wouldn’t have given her such simple missions. Other mediums would just tell you that you are cursed and as for how to get rid of the curse, you solve your own problems.

But the book was very nice. It gave her the place where to search for the relic and provided the image as well. How could she not be happy when even such miraculous mediums were spoiling her like that?

Rather than going on a dangerous adventure to seek relics, it was more of traveling and seeing the world for her. Playing with her fans and just making up for the lost time. She felt blessed despite the death that was still looming around her.

However, as she lay on the bed, not very sleepy but confined in a very quiet place, she felt that Selena’s question and her father’s outburst were done at the right time.

Unknowingly, she was saved by the bell. From now on, she didn’t think that anyone would be so curious anymore to understand what truly happened, for her to act the way she did.

Whenever they would think about it, they would probably think back to this time. Wasn’t that wonderful?

However, there was something that she couldn’t escape from. Revealing to her parents about her incoming overseas trip.

In order to get the second relic, Zara had to travel to another continent called Orkney, a country called Athary, and a city called Dielas.

With how far that place was, she wasn’t confident that her parents would easily agree the way they did when she left for Lingren village.

Nevertheless, regardless of what was what, she had to go, and the clock was ticking.

So, as she slept there, she began to think about methods she could use to coax the grandparents to the siblings so that she would leave with peace of mind.

And speaking about peace of mind, where was Quinn? She hadn’t seen this brother of hers for a very long time now.

What could he possibly be doing?

She couldn’t help but wonder.

Meanwhile, at the mansion, the Hansley family members were all seated, the atmosphere a bit gloomy and a certain mother was still fuming as she looked hatefully at a certain woman.

"Third mother, sister is fine which is a wonderful thing. Can we just talk about it? We can’t keep on being angry, can we? I don’t think that fifth sister will agree to this!" Bradley who had rushed to the mansion, leaving a meeting halfway after hearing what had happened on the first day the family members had seen Zara in person after so long, said, directing his words to Lena.

When he arrived, the doctors had already left. However, he also received a wonderful report of how Zara was doing well which was very amusing and surprising considering that it was the same doctors who had sealed her fate all these years.

Lena turned her head to look at Bradley and scoffed at the other. She and Bradley were of the same age. It was quite amusing how she could have such an old stepson, but who made her love an older man in the first place?

However, just because they were agemates, the fact that she was married to Cade made things different. Even if he doesn’t like it, he is entitled to respect her and call her the proper titles.

And just because he was imploring on behalf of his mother, didn’t mean that she was going to take whatever they were giving out to her.

She was also human and that baby Selena cursed was her heart. How dare she talk recklessly like that?
