THE BILLIONAIRE'S CRYBABY -
Chapter 186: HER CRAZY SIDE
Chapter 186: HER CRAZY SIDE
"Has a cat suddenly gotten a hold of your tongue, mister?!" Fay questioned, eyeing him from his head, down to his toes and back.
She had almost made it to the company when she remembered an important document she left in her room.
Because of how confidential that document was, she couldn’t just tell anyone to bring it to her.
She had decided to return home and take it herself.
Imagine her surprise when she entered the house, and one of her staff told her there was an Ace Atticus that had arrived to see her grandfather.
Her heart had skipped a beat first, her thoughts going to her daughter.
She couldn’t afford for Ace to see her. It didn’t help that Dream was a replica of her father. The only thing she had gotten from her was the colour of her hair, and her dimples.
Everything else was her father.
She hurried into the house only to be told Dream had been sent into her room in the company of her nanny.
She couldn’t thank her grandfather enough. Although he wasn’t in full support of her decision not to tell Ace about his child, he still supported her nonetheless.
"Fay? I didn’t know you’re back. Did something happen at the company?" Seth asked, trying to diffuse the tension in the room.
Ace was too tongue-tied to speak. He didn’t think it was possible, but she had managed to get even prettier in the last four years.
Albeit, it had come with a mean mug, and a sharp tongue.
The actress from four years ago had metamorphosed into this woman.
She had obviously won in a way, seeing how she was able to convince the poor man she was his granddaughter.
But God was she beautiful! He thought, unable to take his eyes off her.
"Everything’s fine grandpa. I was talking to him. You were clearly badmouthing me, so complete your words. What are you even doing here?" She directed at Ace, her chest rising and falling in rhythm with her words.
Her chest had gotten a lot fuller too. His eyes roamed around it for a few seconds, before he brought them back to her face.
"Don’t you know how to speak anymore?!" She snapped at him.
"I don’t owe you my words. I came here to see your grandfather," he airquoted sarcastically.
"Why’s he here, grandpa? Are you two meeting behind my back? Is he threatening you, because I won’t put it past him."
"I don’t need to threaten anyone, darling. If I wanted to, I wouldn’t be here. I don’t stab people in the back, or try to manipulate things. That’s all you, love."
She scoffed in disbelief. The gall of him to still claim righteousness after all these years. After how he brutally ended things four years ago.
"You need to leave," she said, because she couldn’t stand one more second in his presence.
"Fay?" Her grandfather called in a pleading tone.
"He either leaves or I do. I can’t be caught dead in the same room with this trifling piece of shit!"
Ace’s brow creased as he stared at her. She had really changed. He knew his thoughts kept circling back to that, but it was amazing to witness.
Rising to his feet, he walked up to her. There was no way she had become completely unaffected by him.
Even back then, he had a feeling she fell for him. She couldn’t have been so completely cold blooded as to give him her body in such a derogatory manner without having an atom of feeling for him.
What he wanted to do was prove it to his ego, and stick it to her. After that, he’d expose the truth about the lies she had fed the old man.
"Stay back." She dragged the words between her teeth as her nose scrunched in disgust.
"What right do you have to give ultimatums?" He replied with a question of his own.
"What rights do you have to question me in my own house?" She marched his tone.
"Your house? Or you’re just acting again. Tell me Fay, how did you do it? How did you manage to convince the old man you’re his long lost granddaughter?"
Fay was livid! She took one step forward, closing the gap between them. He still smelled the same, she regrettably took note.
But there was an undertone to his scent. Something very familiar, as if she had perceived it somewhere before.
"You can’t defend yourself anymore?"
The accusatory tone he took with her tossed every thought of his scent she had developed in her mind to the gutters.
"I don’t need to explain anything to you. All you need to do is to get the hell out of here. Your type does not belong in public. You belong in a zoo with your fellow animals!"
He waited for it. The lip bite that usually followed all of her outburst.
He remembered the rare times she did lash out, she would bite her lips almost immediately in regret.
But when it didn’t happen, his eyes widened in surprise.
"You’re really pushing this gimmick, Fay. You—"
"You’re in my house, and you still dare to act like you own the place? You Atticus’ are filthy pigs. Get out of my house, Ace!" She pointed at the door.
"Or what?" He asked, giving her a challenging stare.
Watching from behind, Seth allowed them to go at themselves.
They probably couldn’t see it now in their anger, but they needed this. They needed to vent, and let out their frustrations.
"Or so help me God, I’ll have you bundled out of here."
He broke into a mocking laughter. Startled, Fay glared at him.
All the hatred, and anger from how he had treated her four years ago returned in full force.
It wasn’t just that he was here in her house, it was how entitled, smug, unrepentant, and even downright arrogant he acted about her.
Her presence in the house. Her ownership of the house. Her place as the heiress of the Luxe empire.
You’d think he would be more sensitive around this topic, considering how his aunt Celine treated his legitimacy.
But it was all her fault for even expecting anything from him.
He had shown her exactly who he was. The monstrous things he was capable of doing.
No more, she thought. Without saying another word, she turned around, and marched out of the room.
"You see that, Seth? That’s the actions of a woman who knows she has been caught in her lies. I can’t believe you’d let her fool you like that," he said, turning to Seth who had risen to his feet.
"Uhmm, I know you think you’ve won, but if you like yourself, you need to leave. Fay is going to return, if she meets you here, you’re not going to like her actions."
"No man," Ace walked up to him. "You don’t have to worry. If she’s threatening you, I can help you out. Fay has no power over anyone that doesn’t allow her power over them. I can help you," he said with a reassuring nod.
Seth shook his head. He was trying his hardest to help the boy, but he was obviously very arrogant.
He couldn’t see beyond his nose, and it was quite said.
"Do you really see no good in Fay? You were with her for at least six months. In all that time together, did you think nothing good of her?" He was confused as to how he could be so mean to someone as precious as Fay.
"Wow, she’s used her charms on you. I understand you because I’ve been in your position before, Mr Seth. I was once whipped by her beauty and faux kindness. It took the truth to open my eyes. Fay’s not who you think she— what the fuck!" he howled when a splash had his body soaked.
It happened so quickly even Seth was not fast enough to stop her.
"Get the hell out of my house!" Fay screamed, as he turned around to face her.
"What did you do that for? You’ve gone crazy!"
She lifted a spray can she carried with her, ready to spray.
"You’re still standing when you should be walking? Well, you’re about to see crazy!"
"No no no, Fay!" Her grandfather stepped before Ace, shielding him. "I understand you’re angry, but let’s calm down now. He was just about to leave, right Ace?"
Ace was going to argue otherwise. He was ready to argue into the next day. But his soaked body, coupled with the realisation Fay had no atom of fondness for him rendered him too weak to continue.
Even the way she was looking at him with intense hatred in her green eyes, told him it was time to leave.
"I’ll be back," he said.
He walked forward, and Seth used his body to shield him until he walked past Fay.
"You come back, and I promise, it’ll be fire I use on you next," she replied at the top of her voice.
