THE BILLIONAIRE'S CRYBABY -
Chapter 178: ONLY JUST THE BEGINNING
Chapter 178: ONLY JUST THE BEGINNING
Ace threw his face to the side, as she redressed.
He couldn’t bear to look at her face. What he was going to do to her very soon, was brutal.
The smile on her face haunted him. He could sense her contentment. Her happiness.
He was this close to calling everything off, gathering her into his arms, and promising her forever.
But every time he thought of how she had deceived, and played him for a fool, he felt justified for what he was about to do.
She giggled shyly, and turned to him. "I guess this is my own prom night. At twenty-four years of age," she laughed.
He stretched his hand, and she happily placed hers on it.
"Thank you," he said.
"For what?"
"For being you."
He kissed her forehead, and wrapped her hand around his arms.
"Ready?"
"How do I look?" She asked.
She was so glad she had at least taken some lipstick in her purse. It had helped with her lips, which his tongue completely wiped the colour off.
Her hair, she had run her hand through. It was wavy anyway, so she hoped it didn’t look too rough.
Ace looked at her, and his heart skipped a beat.
Part of the plan was for her to look rough after rolling on the ground with him.
Her humiliation would be complete that way.
However, the more messy she looked, the more breathtaking she was.
"What kind of woman are you?" He questioned in his heart, before he smiled.
"You look fine," he said.
Her smile widened, as she leaned into him. Together, they proceeded to the main house.
"Let’s go through the back. What do you think?"
"Whatever you want," she said, too enamoured by him to give a toss about anything else.
He was so pretty, she wanted to drown under his gaze. He made her feel jittery and all flustered.
She couldn’t stop staring up at him. Her insides felt warm from his climax.
She had cleaned as much as she could, but she loved that his love was flowing inside of her.
They entered through the back door, and as they began to climb up the stairs, he stopped and turned to her.
"Hey, if you need to freshen up in the bathroom, you can go to my room. I’ll meet you down."
"Alright. I’ll like that."
He kissed her, and sent her on her way.
As she disappeared into his room, he sighed.
He had to prepare himself for what was to happen, but he had to hold on a little while.
Her scent still filled his nostrils. Her warmth haunted him.
He knew he would never be able to forget those minutes thrust inside her. And he was okay with that.
Shaking his head to clear out his thoughts, he turned on his heel, and walked into one of the guests’ rooms.
He freshened up in the bathroom, before stepping out again.
As he inched closer to the living room, he discovered that they were already rounding up the fundraising event.
He quickly slid in unnoticed, and went to the section reserved for the Atticus.
"Ace?" His mother turned to him when she felt his presence.
He smiled, and waved at her.
The rest of the family began to look behind. Her outburst had notified them.
"Hey bro," Colin gave him a thumbs up.
Celine scoffed. "He finally decides to show his face. Thank God. And by the look of things, his wife is nowhere to be found. Thankfully, your baby mama is here as the perfect replacement."
"Celine!" Caleb cautioned her, but the deed had been done already.
Her words made Ace turn his head around. He saw Reign looking at him.
She was sitting beside Makayla, who was next to the twins.
How that arrangement was done, didn’t make any sense to him.
They all knew those two couldn’t stand each other.
Reign gave him a wink, whilst Makayla glared at him.
Not ready to be caught in-between their drama, he focused on what was happening in front of him.
"Hey handsome!"
He whipped his head around, and found Landon leaned into his ear.
"Why are you just arriving?" He asked.
"Who said I am?"
He sat on the empty seat beside him, and crossed his leg.
"Here," he said, giving him a note he had retrieved from his pockets.
Ace squinted, as he accepted the note. He opened it, and saw it was from the matriarch.
His eyes instantly shot up in search of her. She wasn’t in the Atticus section.
After a few seconds, their gaze held. She was in a special part of the room designed for her and the other stakeholders.
He brought his eyes to the note. She was asking for Fay.
It was an excellent question, he thought. She was supposed to be here already.
The last bid began. It came down to Celine and an Egyptian prince who had continuously tried to become an in-law of the Atticus family.
Never to be outshined, Celine stood up, proud and haughty.
She was tired of going back and forth with him.
"Hundred million dollars," she called.
The room went silent, as she dared the prince with her eyes to try and beat her.
"Why’s she bidding so much for that piece?" Landon leaned into Ace to ask.
"I don’t know yet, but it’s something worth taking note of."
It was sold to her, and everyone broke into cheers.
She jutted her chin, and sat down with great pride.
That was the end of the show. It was time to party.
But before the party began, the matriarch was called to give her speech.
"She looks stunning!" Landon said aloud.
"Careful Landon, that’s still grandma," Colin replied.
"Does he care?" Makayla rolled her eyes.
"You’re just jealous I didn’t call you stunning."
"Shhhh, both of you!" Gabrielle said, and they went quiet.
"Good for you." Ace jeered.
The matriarch climbed up the podium, a big smile on her face.
This was the moment she was supposed to bring Fay up the stage, and show her off.
She had ensured that every design she wore came from Glam.
To do that, she had to go in search of her old designers.
What other way to introduce the impending return of the fashion house, than having her daughter-in-law model for her?
She looked around before she began, in hopes that the usher she put in charge of bringing Fay out had found her, and was just waiting for her cue.
"I want to start by thanking everyone for making it to our annual fundraising event. Year after year, you show up for the less privileged in your absolute best. I’m very appreciative of your efforts." She paused, and the crowd clapped.
"In the spirit of celebration," she continued. "I want to talk a little about the Atticus next venture."
Her children, and grandchildren present began to look between themselves.
"What’s she talking about?" Colin directed at Ace.
He shrugged. "How am I supposed to know?"
"Well you’re kinda the closest to her," Colins sister said.
"Well, I don’t know," he said, mimicking her voice.
"Enough!" Gabrielle hissed, hating that she had to be the one to keep the peace.
Left to Celine, she would very much prefer for chaos to ensue.
The matriarch smiled. "It’s my pleasure to remind you all about many years ago, when fashion was the bedrock of high society. Who was the driver of all of that? Glam."
The crowd erupted into murmurs, and gossips.
"Wait, Glam? She’s bringing Glam back?" One of the twins asked.
Celine scoffed. "You didn’t even exist when Glam was active. What do you know about it?"
"Leave her alone Celine," her younger brother, Caleb, cautioned.
"Whatever." She rolled her eyes.
"To help me with this course, I’ve enlisted the help of someone special."
Ace shifted in his seat. This was his clue. To pacify his curiosity, the matriarch had told him how she planned to reintroduce Glam.
He had taken the initiative to set up a plan around Fay’s appearance.
"Please help me welcome my darling model, Fay!"
As she was led into the open, a sound suddenly reverberated round the room.
Everyone looked up, as a screen was projected.
Pictures began to roll. It was of a girl that looked exactly like the girl that had just been introduced into the room.
A video started to play. The moment it began, the matriarch knew she had to stop it.
Fay froze when she saw herself. It looked like her, but she knew it wasn’t really her.
She was stark naked, in bed with a man old enough to be her father.
A conversation began. One which alluded to her being a golddigger.
She gasped, and covered her mouth. People began to stare, and point at her.
"No," she shook her head. "That’s not me."
Ace used the opportunity to step forward, a smirk on his face.
"You thought you could connive to destroy my family?" He spoke after every step he took.
She looked at him, confusion written all over her face.
"No Ace, I–"
"Shut it!" He screamed, and she flinched.
"You tried to play us for fools. But you’re not as smart as you think you are, Fay. From henceforth," he stopped in front of her. "You’re dead to me."
She grabbed his shirt before he could walk away.
"Ace, it’s me. It’s Fay. I didn’t— I wouldn’t—"
He tossed her hand to the side, and stepped out of her hold.
"Ace!" She screamed after him, as the weight of what was happening finally dawned on her.
