THE BILLIONAIRE'S CRYBABY
Chapter 150: POSITIVE

Chapter 150: POSITIVE

Fay blushed and threw her face to the side. She would be fine if Ace just stopped being so cute. Everyone would watch her and imagine what was so funny to make her smile like that. They wouldn’t know it was just her husband she thought wouldn’t ever show her this side of him, doing it in abundance. At least, those were her thoughts.

"You’re dazzling Fay!" Makayla exclaimed when she made it to their presence.

"Thank you, Makayla. You look stunning yourself."

"You two know each other already? Is there anyone you don’t know at this point?" Colin questioned Makayla.

"Mind your business." She rolled her eyes and hugged Fay.

"Ugh, I really needed that big sniff," she said as she dragged her body away.

"Yeah, I almost stole the perfume you made for the matriarch. That’s how intoxicating it was," Colin said.

"It’s so nice seeing you again, Colin." She was stretching out her hand for a handshake when he rolled his eyes and pulled her in for a hug.

"In this house, we hug to show affection," he said loud enough for Ace to hear.

Ace shot daggers with his eyes as he watched his cousin hug his wife. He didn’t want him to, but he couldn’t stop him from doing it, else he would come out as a possessive freak.

His gratitude surged through the roof when her phone suddenly rang.

Colin let go, as she pulled out the device from her purse.

Her heart skipped a beat when she saw the number on the screen. She had hoped he forgot about her when he didn’t call her last night. She just remembered how hopeless hope could be.

She was about to end the call when from the corner of her eyes, she sighed both Alexander and Leighton looking lost.

"Ace?" She began to call, but Gabrielle had already approached them.

"What is it? Do you need me to answer your call?"

Her attention was drawn back to the device. She stared at it like it belonged to a stranger, then shook her head. "It’s not important. I was going to tell you I just sighted Leighton."

He looked up, and discovered she was right. Halfway right. There was also Alexander who little Sophie was currently hugging.

His brain was this close to going on overdrive, when he remembered that he was one of her doctors. It was only normal that his mother invited them. It was the only reason he kept his tongue in cheek.

"The doctor is so hot. His accent makes him even hotter!" Makayla bit her lips seductively.

"You’re irredeemable," Landon, who had finished his cotton candy and jumped into a piece of ribs he had snuck out to get from Alice, said with a stuffed mouth.

"Wait, I thought we were just all standing together? How did you get those ribs? And most importantly, why am I wasting my time here?" Colin looked confused as his head nudged from one end to the other.

"You snooze you loose, buddy," Landon said, having the time of his life.

"Fay!" Leighton, who arrived in their midst, called, as they hugged.

"I’m so glad you’re here, Leigh. I wasn’t expecting you!"

She laughed as they pulled away. "I was also surprised when I got a call from. Ma’am Gabrielle. Sophie has come such a long way in her journey. I’m so proud of her."

"I know right?"

Landon, who had been munching passionately, discreetly passed the plate to Colin when Leighton arrived.

He didn’t think he would be seeing her for a while, but there she was, right in front of him, looking even more beautiful than the first time he saw her.

Colin was confused at first, but when he saw the way Landon looked at the British princess, he understood. Princess because she looked like royalty.

So many beautiful women in the world. He wondered how a man was supposed to settle for one, as he continued from where Landon had stopped in the plate.

"You’re British too?" Makayla said to Leighton.

"American. I just have an accent because of how long I spent there," she explained with a kind light in her eyes, that made Landon’s heart rate surge through the roofs.

"Are you related to the sexy doctor?" She pressed. "Or you two are just colleagues?"

Leighton’s heart did a double take. Alexander was still conversing with Gabrielle, but it was no secret this beautiful rich lady was talking about him.

Who wouldn’t? He was just as hot as he was kind. Throw in the accent, and the American girls were bound to go crazy.

"Just colleagues," she said. It pained her to admit it, but even their friendship was suffering these days.

"Good," Makayla muttered.

"Hello Ace, it’s good to see you." She stretched out her hand to Ace who shook it.

"You’re a big part of the reason Sophie is still even alive enough to celebrate a birthday. Thanks for the role you played in keeping her safe," he replied, shaking her firmly.

As he released her hand, she turned to Landon. The best friend who seemed to go tongue tied around her.

"Hello, nice to see you again," she said to him.

"Tell me you’re in love with me," he answered in his mind, but couldn’t bring himself to string any audible words together.

Colin stared at him in fascination as he munched on the ribs he had gotten freely, even without asking.

It was one thing for Ace to get married, which was something he was still trying to wrap his head around, and another thing for Landon to like someone.

Sure, he had partook of their wild shenanigans when they were younger, but he would love to think he had outgrown certain habits. Except you counted the times he was just playing around. But for those two, it didn’t look like they were stopping anytime soon.

"Shark got your tongue, playboy?" Makayla asked in an instigating tone.

"No— no no no!" He snapped back to his senses, never the one to allow Makayla one-up him. "I was just thinking about some files I must have left in the office. It’s so nice to see you again, doctor Leighton."

He sought for her hand, and when she gave him, he kissed it.

"Oh wow!" Makayla blurted.

He straightened, and threw her a "go to hell" look, in which she rolled her eyes, and snickered in response.

"I’ve not met you before sir, but it’s also good to see you. I don’t want to interrupt your meal."

Colin smiled at her. "I’m sorry gorgeous. But these are really good ribs. Do you want to taste some?"

"Oh can I?!" her face lit up, as she drew closer to him. "Thankfully, it’s my cheat day." She cheesed hard.

Landon could not believe his luck. He could have been the one feeding the doctor. Not that sleek bastard.

Ace standing beside him, patted him on the back when he noticed what had just happened.

He didn’t notice Alexander arrive at the group. Fay, who was the closest to him, smiled and waved.

Alexander, unsure of how to engage her especially after last night, only returned her smile with a nudge of his head.

Fay’s face fell in disappointment. Although she could understand the reason he’d rather remain distant, it still hurt nonetheless.

"You handsome beauty," Makayla stepped forward to shake Alexander’s hands. "I was beginning to think Gabriella wasn’t ready to let you go."

Her words made Ace turn, and that was when he noticed the doctor had arrived.

"Isn’t he so pretty Colin?" She giggled when he took her hand, and shook it.

Colin, who was sharing his ribs with the pretty Leighton, lifted his head, and nodded.

"You hurt me pretty girl, but you’re right."

She giggled, and withdrew her hands.

Fay watching Alexander through the corner of her lashes paused when she felt an eye on her. It didn’t help that her phone chose that exact time to ring again.

She was dealing with so many emotions at the same time, and was slowly getting overwhelmed by all of them.

"Excuse me," she announced, and excused herself.

Ace’s eyes trailed behind her. She was keeping something from him. It wasn’t about Alexander either. The person kept calling her.

His mind was leaning towards her aunt, but he didn’t think she would act that shady if it was just because of her aunt.

"I’ll be—" his words faded midway when Reign King suddenly appeared in front of him.

"Hello everyone." She waved with one hand, and held her belly with the other.

"What’s this bitch doing here?" Makayla questioned, wriggling her nose in disgust.

"Yeah, what are you doing here, Reign?" Ace echoed, giving her an irritated once over.

"Oh darling, that’s no way to treat the mother of your future child."

Right in front of everyone, she pulled the shoulder bag she had slung over her shoulders with the hand she used to wave, and opened it with the hand that held her belly.

Pulling out a piece of paper, she projected it towards Ace. "You asked for proof, well there it is. I’m pregnant with your child, Ace," she announced, a proud smile lifting her face.
