THE BILLIONAIRE'S CRYBABY -
Chapter 143: EUPHORIA
Chapter 143: EUPHORIA
Their lips parted for a breather, and a muffled moan of protest escaped Fay’s lips.
"Darling, we have people waiting for us," Ace said breathlessly.
"So why aren’t you letting go?" She replied with a bold question.
His eyes squinted causing his brows to furrow, as he stared at her in amazement. "Who are you?" He asked in disbelief.
"Your wife," she replied, and went in for another kiss.
This time, nothing was going to stop him. She had said without so much words, but rather her actions, that she wanted him. Never the one to turn down an honourable request, especially from the one person that was starting to drive him insane with lust, he readily obliged.
His hand grabbed her butt to steady her. She jolted a little, but didn’t make any move to leave.
Emboldened by her determination, he began to massage her butt.
Reflexively, she felt her body grind against his.
"Fuck," he muttered between kiss, tempted to take off her clothes and really get the party going.
But just as the thought crossed his mind, a heavy tap rattled the windows.
They came to an abrupt halt, and turned their heads at the same time.
"Ace, I knew it was you!" Makayla screamed. "Open up—" she paused, discovering there was someone else in the car.
Fay sighed, and began struggling to return to her seat.
"No," he grabbed her with a start, and placed her back on his lap. "Stay."
She wasn’t entirely convinced it was the wise thing to do. In fact, she was reconsidering her actions. Never in her life had she expressively acted on her impulses like the way she had been doing in the past few weeks.
Tonight was made worse by the fact she had said with both words and actions how much she wanted him. So much she was willing to turn away from her frigidity, and accept the heat he offered her heart and her body.
Those kinds of bold declarations never ended well. One of them was surely going to get hurt. And if history was any indication, she would be that one.
"I can’t believe this," Ace muttered under his breath as he rolled down the windows.
"I’m so sorry Ace," she began to apologise even before the window was fully rolled down. "I didn’t know you were with someone. Wait," she stopped talking long enough to turn the apologetic expression on her face into a frown. "Why are you with another woman?" She snapped, pointing an accusatory finger at him. "Didn’t you tell me you were married?"
Fay, who was previously uninterested in whatever one of his girls had to say, took a double look at her after she heard what she just heard.
Her first observation was that she was a girls girl. Her second made her eyes widen. "She’s the girl you were kissing at the hotel!" She blurted, unable to control the emotions that overcame her.
"Huh? Do you know me? And technically, I kissed him," Makayla said, immediately clearing the air.
"You heard that, Fay? She kissed me."
"Fay?!" Makayla squeaked. "Oh my God, she’s your wife!" She hopped in excitement as a smile spread all over her face.
"What’s going on here?" Fay asked, really confused now.
"That’s Makayla," he began to explain amidst the loud girls’ screams of excitement. "We used to have a thing, and now she’s engaged, and I’m married," he explained using the abridged version of events. However, Fay wasn’t having it.
"Excuse you? She’s engaged? Why was she kissing you then?"
"Oh don’t be mad at Ace, please. I have this thing where I was kinda obsessed with the idea of us because he saved me from a darkness that could have very much consumed me," she stopped hopping just to explain things, and clear her name. "But then he went ahead to date that witch. So every time I’m in the country, I make sure to track him down when she’s around him, and give him a kiss."
"Huh?" Fay’s head hung to the side, as her face contorted with confusion.
"Yeah, sounds like degeneracy, I know. But I didn’t like the bitch, so I had to ensure she knew. That’s all in the past now, I promise. The second he told me he was genuinely married, I regretted my actions. It’s so nice to meet you, Fay. I’m Makayla." She stretched out her hand, the big smile on her face still in place.
Unsure of how to react, but forever the empath, she stretched out her own hands.
"Oh, she’s so gorgeous!" Makayla said as they shook hands.
"You’re very beautiful too," Fay replied.
"Now that we’ve got that out of our chest, why exactly are you here?" Ace questioned.
She snickered. "How’s it your business what I choose to do with my time? Also, I thought you were mad when Lynette and I left your office, today? You could have just said you wanted to see your wife, and that’s why you were acting up." She raised her nose at him, and rolled her eyes.
Fay decided right there that she liked her. She seemed nice, and bubbly.
"Yeah, whatever you say."
"Anyway, if you must know—-"
"No, I don’t want to know anymore."
"Well I want you to know. If you must know, I called Landon to tell him I was starving. He said to meet up here. I wish he told me I would stumble on you and your wife, doing God knows what."
"Makayla!" Ace raised his voice in alarm.
Shock filled his eyes when Fay giggled. "You’re enjoying this shit show?" He questioned her.
"I like your friend. She’s nice."
"Darling, everyone’s nice in your eyes."
"Ooooouuuuiii! Look at you being husband of the year. Who knew Ace Atticus had it in him to be all lovey-dovey? I just know Reign is seething!" She cackled devilishly.
Fay observed her with a big smile on her face. She clearly didn’t know their marriage wasn’t real. But who cares? She was thoroughly enjoying the show.
"I’ll leave you two to continue what you were doing before I rudely interrupted. Don’t stop on my account."
"No!"
"No?" Ace lifted his brows.
"I mean I’m actually hungry. Maybe we should all go in. Together," she continued when they both kept staring at her.
"Are you shy, Fay darling?" Makayla asked teasingly.
"No," she shook her head, as her face fell. "I’m just saying," she whispered shyly, hoping she had enough time before the inflamed rose hue on her cheeks reduced.
"It’s okay to be shy. Come with me, let’s walk together."
"Why? Did she come with you? Makayla, why don’t you ever mind your business?"
"And why don’t you stop being an ass? Common Fay, let’s go."
"Sorry," Fay muttered, as she scooted to the other side.
"I can’t believe you’re really going in with her."
"I’m sorry," she said, and stepped out of the car.
Shaking his head, he opened his side of the door and also stepped out.
"This is madness," he grumbled, shutting the door.
"Don’t be a big baby, Ace!" Makayla screamed ahead, with her hand linked in Fay’s.
He watched them from behind, smiling in his head. As long as his friends like Fay, nothing else truly mattered.
Pushing his hands into his pockets, he strode towards the entrance.
Landon was with the girls at the lobby when he stepped in.
"Is there a reason I’ve been waiting for you for the past thirty minutes?" He asked when he spotted Ace come in.
"I just felt like keeping you waiting, since you’re a child that can’t do what they want to do until they get an adult’s permission." His voice dripped with sarcasm as he stopped before them.
"You know one of these days, Fay, your husband will get what is coming for him."
Fay, who was already busy with the menu, didn’t hear them, until she felt a hand on her back.
She yelled, and turned around. "What?" She asked, biting her lips.
Ace instantly recognized she was feeling embarrassed.
He drew closer to her, and grabbed her hands into his. "Let’s go up."
Ignoring the stares from his friends, and the cashier’s, he dragged Fay with him to the same rooftop spot they were supposed to dine on the day Reign and her father interrupted.
For the umpteenth time, Fay felt her cheeks getting inflamed. He was so different, she could barely recognize him. She wasn’t complaining either.
Just a few hours ago, she had told herself to snap out of her dreams and face reality. But the way things were going, she wanted so badly to be thrust back into delusional land.
Ace saw Cam standing as he entered the room.
"Is your job description a bodyguard, now?" He asked.
Cam turned, and swiftly bowed. "Sir, I told sir Landon I’ll love to step out. He insisted I stayed."
Ace rolled his eyes. "Why do you want to leave?"
"Si–"
"Sit down, Cam. Let’s eat," he said, and pulled Fay who was trying to sit on the chair beside him, on his lap.
"What are you doing?" She giggled.
"Let’s just say I’m in a really good mood," he replied, holding her gaze.
