THE BILLIONAIRE'S CRYBABY
Chapter 134: THE FLATTERER

Chapter 134: THE FLATTERER

Cam’s mind was in chaos as he drove behind Xylon Bass’ car. All he could think of was Ace finding out about this entire arrangement, and flipping out on him.

It would be fully justified too. He should have done everything in his power to stop the man from pushing for a trip to his car repair guy.

He knew how things worked. He had seen closely how Xylon had looked at Fay. Any man would look at her that way, because she was just that stunning. But not every man would be bold enough to make such audacious moves.

Inviting her to his car repair guy was a bold move. One she was too naive to understand.

Xylon Bass was popular with the ladies. His escapades were always shared at every gathering of drunk insufferable men, who bitched about rich men and what they did or didn’t do.

He was always in the press for being naughty.

Ace called him the man who would have been a good friend if he wasn’t such an enemy.

And that was why he knew if his boss found out that the same man was taking his wife out, regardless of the location, he would be pissed.

"Are you okay, Cam?" Fay, tired of pretending not to notice how tense he looked, asked?

Taken aback by her interest in his distress, he frowned. "I’m fine." He lied through his teeth.

As much as he was worried about Ace’s reaction, he also didn’t want Fay to feel bad for accepting Xylon’s offer.

It was a pretty sweet deal in fairness. In exchange for her presence, he would cover the bills for both repairs.

"Are you sure? If you have any reservations about this arrangement, do tell me please. I don’t want you to do anything you’re not comfortable doing."

"I’m fine, Mrs Fay. It’s really nothing."

He was starting to feel bad about the whole thing. She was such a genuinely good person, and he didn’t mean to make her second guess her actions.

The car ahead began to signal it was about to turn. He slowed down, and waited for them to turn before he followed suit.

Whilst driving, he took note of the routes they were following, just in case he needed to return alone.

Ten minutes after the turn, the car ahead pulled into a repair store.

"I guess we’re here," Ace muttered under his breath, as he drove in behind.

Fay twisted her fingers together, waiting for the car to come to a stop. She wasn’t exactly sure what she was doing, but she did it anyway.

The need not to touch Ace’s money was so great, she discovered she would do anything to avoid it.

In the back of her mind, she knew she was a bit fraudulent. For all her talk, she was still living under his roof, and driving in his car.

"Baby steps," she thought, as she alighted from the car.

Cam quickly stepped beside her. He might not have as much money as the billionaire did, not even in his dreams, but he had a duty to his own boss. A duty to protect his wife from the lustful eyes of another billionaire.

Xylon noticed the close marking the driver was giving the beautiful woman, and smiled inwardly. He would deal with him when the time came, but for now, he had to talk with his mechanic.

Fay stepped forward to make a case for her car, and Cam swiftly followed.

When the repair guy had been shown both damages, he called his boys, and they began to work on it.

"Do you want me to call for another car, sir?" Ralph, who was still seething at how easily the case was dismissed, questioned.

"Why would you do that Ralph?" Xylon, hoping to God his clueless driver would get the message and shut his mouth, asked.

"Because of the meeting? Remember?" Ralph, totally clueless, pushed.

Xylon sighed internally. It was entirely his fault for bringing along his overenthusiastic driver. The man lived to please him. It was beginning to look like an obsession.

"If you have a meeting, you should go for it. I can stay until the cars are fixed. It’s not like I have anything important to do," Fay, who couldn’t help but introduce herself into their conversation, said.

"Oh no, gorgeous. The meeting can wait. Between boring numbers and spending time around someone as ethereal as you are, most men will choose the same option."

Fay’s stomach fluttered. This one was a flatterer. He was also bold with it. The difference between him and Alexander was that one was not afraid to speak his mind.

It was a pretty interesting contrast to draw.

"And the ultimate?"

"Do you ever rest?" She questioned the voices in her mind.

They had to bring in Ace into every comparison. Ace was charming in his own way. Sucks that his charms were never reserved for her.

"I just don’t want you to miss something important because of me. I’m going for a sales run. The store is always going to be open."

"Sales? What are you selling, Fay?"

The accent he used in calling her name was pretty interesting. None she had ever heard before.

"Perfumes," she replied, more boldly than she had anticipated.

Even Cam was taken aback by this side of her. She would usually bury her head shyly, and refuse to talk to a stranger. Yet, here she was conversing freely with a man who could buy two islands, and not worry about his finances.

"Perfumes? Is that why you smell so incredible? You make your own perfumes?" His face lit up, impressed by what he had just discovered about her.

"This is the first time I will be selling. I usually won’t monetize it. I’m kinda nervous about how it will go. What if no one likes it enough to buy it?" She sighed.

"Nonsense! Can I see a sample? Or all of it? If it smells anything like you do, it will sell out in seconds."

Light sprung up in her eyes, and a bounce lifted her toes. "Really? You really want to see my bottles of perfume?"

"But of course!" He mirrored her excitement.

"Okay!" She turned around in a childlike swirl, and hurried to the car.

Xylon watched her with unwavering fascination as she conversed with the repairers to allow her open the backseat of the car.

Behind him, the driver’s who had gravitated next to each other, watched with various thoughts in their head.

Ralph hated whatever was happening. His boss was better off buried in paperwork. Every time he took time to play, a scandal occurred.

He didn’t want him to be involved in yet another scandal. His father had warned him that his patience with him was thinning. A man from a family as conservative as his was, shouldn’t be gallivanting around town with women that could put him in trouble.

The others he had considered pure whores. But this one, this one was even worse. She was the kind of woman a man lost his head for. He would never recover from someone like her.

Meanwhile, Cam was worried. Fay wasn’t acting like she usually would. He understood her joy in showing off the works of her hands, but he was still worried.

Xylon was a man well versed in the ways of the world. Give him an inch, and he would take nine. He would much rather she shunned him, than encourage that smile on his face as he watched her return with a bag in her hand.

"Here." She pushed her hand into the bag, and brought out the first bottle.

As she stretched it towards him, his nostrils flared. "Wow!" He said, even before he grabbed it to sniff it.

"This is so strong, and so masculine, yet so sensual. Is your plan to make whoever purchases your perfume seduce everyone around them?" He asked.

She was silent for a few seconds, until she realised he was joking. Then she threw her head back, and laughed.

He stood rooted on the same spot, watching her laugh. She was like a free bed, flying all around whilst chirping. That was the scenario her laugh produced.

If he knew he wanted her before, he knew now that he needed her. She wasn’t the kind of woman you let go of. To be so stunning, yet wrapped in such innocence was a rarity.

"Can I see the rest?" He asked when her laughter subsided.

She gave it to him, and he instantly saw a pattern. These fragrance were an expression of the parts of her that were hidden. The parts of her that her image may consider forbidden.

There were such sensual notes, yet you could tell which was masculine, and feminine.

"Can I buy all three?" He asked.

"What?!" She chortled in disbelief.

"Why not?" He shrugged. "One for me, one for my mother, and one for my father," he said.

"You really would do that?"

He smiled. That smile again. He was already a handsome man, but his smile was beautiful.

"Gorgeous, you deserve the world," he said, and her heart melted into a puddle.
