Chapter 204: Revised: Chapter 203 Eating Quite Plainly
"What male dignity, I don’t know, but I know you’re provoking me now!"
Ivy River wouldn’t put up with him. She grabbed him and pinned him down on the bench, giving him a good beating.
Fatty sobbed, "You tarnished my butt! This is my manly dignity! What boy gets spanked by his mom all the time?"
Emmy added fuel to the fire, stomping her foot and watching from the side.
"Mommy, you’re too light on him. You should take off his pants and spank him. He won’t learn his lesson otherwise!"
Fatty gritted his teeth and scowled at the sky, "Emmy! Aren’t we siblings? Why do you do this to me? No wonder I’m a genius who can trade stocks while you just watch cartoons and play with flowers. Our IQs are completely different!"
And then he got a few more hard slaps from Ivy.
Fatty didn’t struggle; he took the beating.
It was good to let Ivy vent a bit, but he was in the middle of a PK.
He couldn’t let the other side think he was weak!!!
Ivy scolded, "Who allowed you to speak about your sister like that? Emmy is also a genius baby. Emmy is much more mature than you! You’re the only one who annoys me every day!"
Fatty, eager to continue his competition, nodded repeatedly, "Yes, yes, I was wrong. Mommy, I’m a fool, and my sister is a genius."
Emmy added salt to the wound, "You’re not sincere! I can see it in your eyes. You look so defiant and annoyed right now."
Fatty raised his head, squinting at Emmy, and clasped his hands together in plea, "No, I really mean it. I said the wrong thing earlier. Actually, I didn’t absorb any of Emmy’s nutrients. I’m an idiot, and Emmy is a genius baby."
Ivy snorted coldly and said nothing.
Emmy was clearly not buying it. She knew what Fatty was anxious to do, and she was deliberately stalling.
She shook her head, looking at Ivy pitifully, "Mommy, do you really think I’m a fool?"
"No, you’re not. You’re my precious baby. Only your brother is the real fool!"
Then, Ivy warned again, "If I catch you trading stocks one more time, you’ll see how I deal with you. And as for your attitude towards your sister, you better straighten up."
"Alright, alright, I’ll be mindful of my behavior. I won’t lose my temper with my sister. Our family’s rule is that the sister is the sky, and the mom is the treasure. I, along with grandpa and uncle, will pamper you both."
Fatty’s flattery hit the mark.
Ivy patted her hands in satisfaction and finally released her grip on him.
Emmy still wanted to say something, but upon seeing Fatty’s pitiful look, she changed her tune, "Mommy, where are we going tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow, I’ll take you back to the old house to see where I lived when I was a child. And there are green plants I used to grow there."
Emmy jumped up in joy, "Yay! Thank you, Mommy!"
Ivy glanced at the time, "It’s getting late, I’ll leave for now. You two hurry and get some rest. No more playing around."
"Okay!"
Fatty immediately got up from the bench, respectfully opened the door, and made a "please" gesture toward Ivy.
Ivy laughed and, still giving her instructions at the door, "Go to sleep early and don’t get on the computer again, understood?"
"Got it, got it, now go, we’ll wash up and go to bed."
Fatty quickly shut the door behind Ivy and locked it efficiently.
He let out a long breath as he sat down at his computer desk.
Just as he turned on the computer,
Emmy’s eerie voice sounded from behind, and she took the computer away.
"Fatty, if you make me unhappy again, just wait for me to tell on you..."
"No, no, you’re my good sister."
Fatty looked at Emmy pleadingly, trying to get his computer back.
"You called yourself the genius baby and called me an idiot, putting me down to elevate yourself. You didn’t think of this at that time, did you?"
"No ’if’s. From now on, between us siblings, you’re the boss. I’ll always prioritize you."
Fatty waved his hand towards the computer, "Please give it back. Mom was here earlier, I was about to die of anxiety. I’m competing with the Blake Clan Group now, and it’ll be embarrassing if I fall too far behind!"
"That’s got nothing to do with me."
Though she said that, Emmy handed the computer back to Fatty, "Here you go. I’m doing this because I don’t want you to embarrass yourself later. After all, you’re up against Edwin’s company."
"Right, if it wasn’t that scumbag’s company, I wouldn’t even bother. This is risky; if Mom finds out, we’re dead."
Fatty took the computer and immediately logged in, checking his progress.
He let out a painful wail.
Emmy casually said, "Keep your voice down, or if Mom comes back, you won’t get anything done. She might even take your computer away."
"You don’t understand! You really don’t understand! The other guy is 20% ahead of me! Ahhhhh!"
Fatty put on a face of anguish and started typing furiously, trying to catch up.
"Keep an eye on the time. I’m going to wash up now. Later, I’ll turn off the lights so Mom doesn’t suddenly come in."
"Okay, okay, you go ahead."
Fatty readily agreed, and then shouted, "I’ll fight you to the end!"
Luckily, the soundproofing in the Royal Court was quite good.
Otherwise, Ivy would’ve been there long ago, catching him coding.
Alexander Hodges watched Bryson Chaser’s rapid progress.
He immediately put down his drink and cursed, "What’s with that kid? Didn’t he take a break? No sense of sportsmanship."
Bryson replied coldly, "Hurry up, if Edwin finds out you were slacking, he’ll definitely berate you."
"Now, he’s the one begging me to do the work!"
Alexander swore, but his hands didn’t stop moving.
"If Edwin comes back from Riverland and finds out you didn’t just fail to crack it, but also lost, what do you think will happen to you?"
"He’ll probably just yell at me. What else could he do?"
Bryson chuckled, "I heard the second brother is planning a new project abroad, in some remote area of Africadia. Since we’ve never done a project there, it’s all uncertain. Do you think he’ll give that job to you?"
"Damn it! Damn it! Second brother wouldn’t do that to me. I’m helping him out here; he wouldn’t..."
Alexander cursed while speeding up.
Africadia already developed was bad enough; undeveloped was worse.
Bryson patted him on the shoulder. "Work hard then, I’m heading home to see Leilani. She’s been lukewarm to me lately. I’ll try to coax her."
"Tch, you just want Leilani to sleep with you. Why beat around the bush?"
Alexander teased without mercy.
Bryson: ...
The truth hurts, but there’s no need to be so blunt about it. Makes it seem like he didn’t have any game before...
"I’ll put in a good word for you with Edwin."
