Chapter 89: Chapter 087: The Six Saints Defeat the Heavenly Court’s Army

The Six Great Demon Kings conspired, taking advantage of the instability of the Heavenly Court’s Army to launch a sudden attack. Yu Rong King, whose Earth Escape Skill was exceptionally astonishing, burst into the camp, causing great disturbance, wounding Huang Feihu, and slaying over a thousand Heavenly Court soldiers.

Meanwhile, the other five demon kings charged into battle, perfectly coordinating with Yu Rong King. Together, the Six Great Demon Kings advanced to storm the barracks.

The soldiers guarding the main gate saw the Six Great Demon Kings coming fiercely and hastily reported back, crying, "Alert! Marshal, Yu Rong King and the other five demon kings are charging toward the camp gates!"

Li Jing exclaimed in alarm, "Quick, face the enemy!"

Nezha took his Fire-tipped Spear and went out to meet them, only to see Ox Demon King smashing open the main gate and barging in.

The gatekeepers were immediately caught in the fray, crushed into mincemeat by the six demon kings as they poured through the gates, leaving a trail of death and serious injuries in the direction of the main gate.

Huang Feihu, the leader of The Five Peaks’ True Gods, astride his Five-Colored Divine Ox, hurriedly arrived and bellowed, "Stop your violence, I am here to face you!"

However, Yu Rong King scoffed, "Huang Feihu, you are but a defeated soldier, how dare you boast of bravery?"

Enraged, Huang Feihu charged at Yu Rong King, brandishing his blade and slashing fiercely.

Yu Rong King shouted, "Brothers, I’m going to take Huang Feihu’s dog head, you do as you please."

Then, grabbing the Exorcism Hoops, he rushed toward Huang Feihu, determined to prove who was superior.

Huang Feihu, not being the equal of Yu Rong King but possessing the Mount Tai Seal, found it difficult to slay his opponent. As soon as the two sides clashed, it was a contest of deadly moves, with the Exorcism Hoops flying and the Mount Tai Seal remaining firm; initially, it was hard to tell who would triumph.

Ox Demon King cursed, "That fifth brother of ours really is inconsiderate. I have old scores to settle with this True God of the Five Peaks, and yet he dares to snatch my glory."

Spotting Nezha, he yelled, "Hey, kid, Grandpa Ox is here to meet you!"

Nezha felt secretly frustrated, thinking, "If I can’t handle Macaca, surely I can take care of this dumb bull, right?" Out loud he yelled, "Savage Bull, curb your arrogance, it’s your Grandfather here to take your head!" Then, to the Nine Luminaries rushing behind him, he said, "Gentlemen, hold off the other demon kings, while I slay this Savage Bull."

Ox Demon King chuckled inwardly, cursing, "You greenhorn brat, daring to challenge your Grandpa Ox, take this!"

Lifting his Mixed-Iron Staff, he aimed a blow at Nezha’s face. Nezha quickly brandished his Fire-tipped Spear, aware of Ox Demon King’s formidable reputation from Cave Moyun in Southern Toad Continent, and did not dare take him lightly. Spreading his Three Heads and Six Arms in an instant, wielding Magical Treasures, he struck out at Ox Demon King.

Ox Demon King scoffed, "Quite a collection of Magical Treasures you have, but Old Bull is not afraid of a fight! Bring on your Qiankun Ring!"

Nezha hurled the Qiankun Ring at Ox Demon King’s head, but the king neither ducked nor dodged, lowering his head suddenly to ram, and with a dull thud, he managed to deflect the Qiankun Ring, though he himself was left a little dazed.

Nezha exclaimed, "This Savage Bull really has an incredible physique!"

Ox Demon King shook his head to clear it and roared, "Come on, kid, let’s fight again!"

Hearing Ox Demon King’s unclean mouth, Nezha’s anger surged. He threw the Heavenly Mixed Silk Ribbon, but Ox Demon King was not keen on a head-on clash this time; knowing the Heavenly Mixed Silk Ribbon was meant for capturing, he could not afford to be grabbed by it. He quickly dodged and, with a roar, unleashed a Divine Power, thrusting a fist as large as a small hill towards Nezha, who hurriedly dodged, retracting his Heavenly Mixed Silk Ribbon. It turned out that this Minotaur’s abilities were no less than Macaca’s. Nezha inwardly lamented his misfortune, wishing he hadn’t confronted the Minotaur.

"Sixth Brother, don’t be anxious, I am here to help you!" roared the Macaques King, seeing The Five Peaks’ True Gods cornering Yu Rong King. With a mighty shout, he joined the fray, sprawling a great blade around, entangling Wen Pin, Cui Ying, and Revered Black Tiger, allowing Yu Rong King to have an easier time against Huang Feihu and Jiang Yong.

Peng Demon King said to Lion Camel King, "Fourth Brother, with your boundless strength, assume your true form and break through their camp; I will cover you!"

Lion Camel King nodded, shook his head, and with a howl, transformed into a Golden Lion. With a roar, the ground shook, and every single soldier of the Heavenly Court felt as though their Primordial Spirits had been jolted into unconsciousness. Once in his true form, Lion Camel King charged into the crowd, sending soldiers flying and turning into mincemeat upon landing. Known as the Mount-moving Great Saint, his strength was extraordinary indeed.

With a charge into the camp, Lion Camel King threw the hard-earned order of Heavenly Court’s Army into chaos. Amidst continuous cries of agony, he rampaged through the troops, while using Divine Skills, spraying golden rays from his mouth, reducing anyone struck to a puddle of blood.

"I am the Mount-moving Great Saint! Surrender your heads!" shouted Lion Camel King.

Li Jing urgently summoned the Nine Luminaries to intercept Lion Camel King’s assault on the central army camp, and the Star Lords cried, "Fiend, stop your atrocities, I will deal with you!"

Wood Lord wielded a Magical Treasure, a whip that stretched to three lengths with a wave, sweeping towards Lion Camel King.

Peng Demon King would not stand idly by. Wielding his spear, its tip glinting light, he struck the whip, producing a crisp sound and driving it back.

Lion Camel King demonstrated his Divine Power, further slaughtering hundreds of Heavenly Court soldiers.

The Nine Luminaries joined the fray, Magical Treasures in hand, colors flashing as they engaged in fierce combat with the two demon kings.

Upon seeing their old enemy, the twenty-two constellations’ eyes turned especially red with rage, and they all charged into battle.

Wukong saw that the Lion Camel King and Peng Demon King were fighting the Nine Luminaries, and if these twenty-two constellations joined the fray, how could anyone cope? He quickly used his divine skills and transformed into a soothing wind as he flew over. His Jingu Bang appeared in his hand, and he struck straight at the old enemy Aquatic Ape’s head! The Aquatic Ape was so focused on sneakily attacking the Lion Camel King and Peng Demon King with his staff that he was completely caught off guard, but still, he instinctively raised his iron staff in a pose as if he was holding up fire to burn the sky.

Wukong’s staff smashed onto the Aquatic Ape’s iron rod, sparking a shower of sparks. He then swiftly kicked the Ape in the chest, sending him flying out with a shattered chest, breaking his bones into pieces, and instantly losing his fighting capacity. Wukong, currently having the cultivation of a Daluo Golden Immortal, found that the Aquatic Ape, being only at the level of Taiyi Golden Immortal, was vastly inferior. Without a combined attack formation, the Ape naturally couldn’t withstand his punches and kicks.

"Ah!" the Horned Water Jiao Dragon screamed in surprise, "This monkey head has improved his cultivation. Everyone quickly form an array, or he will defeat us one by one."

But Wukong didn’t give them the chance. The Great Year Whip appeared in his hands again, shaken and turning into a red light, it crackled as it struck the chest of the Horned Water Jiao Dragon. The Dragon immediately felt as if he was subjected to the terror of the whole Primordial Chaos weighing down on him. His entire Primordial Spirit trembled, and before he could react, he saw Wukong charging up and firmly striking his forehead with a staff. With a bang, his brains burst out, and his Primordial Spirit, along with his flesh, were annihilated at once.

The rest hadn’t even had time to react when Wukong turned around, his Jingu Bang enlarging and thunderously piercing the chest of the Winged Fire Snake.

The chest of the Winged Fire Snake was immediately pierced by the Jingu Bang, and Wukong released his divine power into the staff, causing a tremor, and with a booming sound, the snake’s entire body was blown to pieces.

Wukong shouted, "You’re all solely focused on seeking revenge against me, today I will slaughter you all!"

Wukong cast a Great Hand Seal, a spell based on the Buddhist Sutra of the Other Shore but altered slightly by incorporating the Daoist Nine-character True Words. As the hand seal was thrown, the figure of a Taoist appeared, chanting the Daoist True Words as he zoomed in.

"Boom!"

A palm strike hit the body of the Ox Gold Ox, instantly reducing him to a mush of flesh. His Primordial Spirit didn’t even escape, and his millennium of cultivation ended up as naught but a pie in the sky.

With that strike, Wukong had killed three beings: of the Eastern, Northern, and Southern Constellations, preventing them from forming an array any longer. In particular, the Horned Water Jiao Dragon, who was the leader of the Eastern Azure Dragon. With these three slain, even if they had managed to form an array for a combined attack, their power would have significantly decreased, posing no threat to Wukong.

Li Jing watched from the side, his heart trembling in fear. He had not expected Wukong to have reached the realm of the first level of a Daluo Golden Immortal, attacking like thunder and a sudden gust of wind, savagely taking out three of the twenty-two constellations in a flash, one of whom was the leader of the Eastern Constellation. It was truly astonishing.

The remaining constellations, knowing they could only face death at Wukong’s hands, each used their escape techniques to disperse and hid among the crowd, making it difficult for Wukong to catch them.

Peng Demon King laughed heartily, "Ha ha, ha ha! Well done, well done! You wanted to sneak attack me but didn’t expect to be ambushed by my brother instead."

The Lion Camel King transformed into a human with a lion’s head, holding a Crescent Blade, and joined Peng Demon King in battling the Nine Luminaries.

Seeing that the two of them could barely manage, Wukong turned to look for Li Jing and immediately spotted him in the central army tent. He shouted, "Li Jing, you old fool, I spared you last time, but here you are seeking bad luck with me again! Today, you’ll become a ghost beneath my staff."

Li Jing hastily set down his pagoda which transformed into nine levels, each three zhang high for a total of twenty-seven zhang, pressing down like a small mountain.

Wukong swung his Jingu Bang which grew as large as a beam. With one sweep he struck the pagoda, producing a crisp ’clang,’ then with force, he flipped the pagoda, sending it flying.

Li Jing turned and fled, but how could Wukong let him go? Just as he was about to pursue, a Taoist blocked his path, pinching a spell and shaking his hands, sending over a hundred Thunder Orbs his way.

Wukong gripped his Jingu Bang and began spinning it in his hand, creating a shield through which no water could enter, deflecting each Thunder Orb. The orbs were sent flying not far away, falling into the crowd and exploding, causing continuous thunderous roars. Hundreds of soldiers were instantly killed or injured.

The newcomer was none other than Xu Jingyang, a renowned Taoist master with profound Taoism. He came to the mortal world during the Two Jin Dynasties to preach, and though he was still unknown at present, his power was not to be underestimated.

Xu Jingyang declared, "Great Saint, you are truly capable. I’m here to face you!"

Seeing his way forward blocked, Wukong’s irritation flared. Today had been such a good opportunity to finish off Li Jing, and now he had to face Xu Jingyang and enter a fierce battle.

Li Jing, seizing the opportunity to escape, quickly ordered a military retreat. The sound of the drums was clamorous as the weary soldiers heard the signal to withdraw, turning their heads and fleeing.

Xu Jingyang inwardly cursed, "This Li Jing is truly a coward. If he had fought for a while longer until the chaos settled, these Six Great Demon Kings would naturally be driven off! Now that he’s sounded the retreat, the grand situation has already slipped away."

Xu Jingyang unleashed another hundred Thunder Orbs, and Wukong whirled his staff, deflecting them. Xu Jingyang also hurriedly tossed a talisman into the air, which transformed into a ray of yellow light and accompanied him as he dived into the ground, escaping through the Earth Escape Skill.

It was at this moment that the Seventy-Two Cave Demon Kings also charged into battle. Having consumed the Peaches of Immortality, they were invigorated and launched into a ferocious attack.

Only then did Xu Jingyang realize, to his secret alarm, that there were the Seventy-Two Cave Demon Kings behind them. Li Jing had inadvertently hit upon a successful tactic.

The high-ranking members of the Heavenly Court heard the retreat signal and casually launched a final strike before leaping out of the melee and withdrawing.
