Chapter 88: Chapter 086: Exorcising Great Saint Wreaks Havoc

The tale tells of Yu Rong King, who used the Earth Escape Technique to slip out of the Water Curtain Cave and sneak into the massive camp of the Heavenly Court’s Army.

Clever Yu Rong King, his Earth Escape Spell was indeed astounding, allowing him to infiltrate the camp unnoticed. Looking up, he saw the Heavenly Court’s soldiers and officers busily setting up camp, cooking, and carrying out their tasks in an orderly fashion without any sign of panic—a truly elite force. Moreover, within the central command tent, streams of vital essence shot up into the sky, clearly indicating the presence of many powerful masters seated within.

Yu Rong King gave a little shake and transformed into one of the Heavenly Court’s soldiers. Taking advantage of the distraction, he rose from the ground, wearing three Exorcism Hoops around his forearm.

In his heart, Yu Rong King thought, "These generals of the Heavenly Court underestimate us, with no guards up—it’s as if they’re begging for my surprise attack! Watch as I turn their world upside down."

Just then, a junior officer approached, demanding, "Which camp do you belong to, standing around aimlessly here? Get to work quickly!"

Yu Rong King flashed a grin and replied, "I am your dear grandfather!"

The junior officer was stunned, immediately cursing, "You audacious cur, how dare you insult a superior! Your crime warrants death!"

Yu Rong King retorted, "Watch as your grandfather takes your ungrateful head first!"

With that, one of the Exorcism Hoops in Yu Rong King’s hand shone with a golden light, whirling up into the air, growing larger before slipping over the junior officer’s neck. In the blink of an eye, it shrank and tightened, blades emerged within, and with a crisp snap, the officer’s head was severed, blood spurting out like a fountain.

"Ah! This man dares to kill an officer within the army ranks, brothers, seize him!"

Yu Rong King laughed, saying, "You lot are too weak to capture your grandfather! Face my Magical Treasure!"

The other two Exorcism Hoops on his forearm shone as well, flying up and transforming into massive round grinding stones, which whirled chaotically. Blades appeared on their edges, and wherever they passed, they cut down the Heavenly Soldiers and junior officers like grass, blood spraying and corpses littering the ground.

Indeed, Yu Rong King was brutal. In a matter of moments, he had slain over a hundred men, including several junior officers.

"Who dares to run wild in my Heavenly Court’s Army camp?" bellowed Huang Feihu, one of The Five Peaks’ True Gods, as he charged out from the central command tent riding the Five-Colored Divine Ox.

Yu Rong King slipped a pair of steel rings onto his hands, using them as fist weapons rather than drawing a blade, and threw punches straight at Huang Feihu’s face.

Huang Feihu bore both new and old grudges against Wukong; sent by the Jade Emperor this time, he was indeed the right man for the job. All The Five Peaks’ True Gods yearned to take Wukong’s head.

"Clang!"

The resonant sound caused Huang Feihu’s sword-holding hand to go numb, and he thought to himself in shock, "What immense strength this creature has!"

Yu Rong King murmured inwardly, "I’m unsure which Immortal this is, but he has some skill, possessing the Cultivation of a Taiyi Golden Immortal of the Third Heaven, having achieved Unity of Heaven and Man."

Huang Feihu urged the Five-Colored Divine Ox to circle Yu Rong King, slashing aggressively at Yu Rong King’s head. Annoyed, Yu Rong King called upon his Magical Treasure, and the three Exorcism Hoops flew back to him, hurling toward Huang Feihu.

Huang Feihu formed the Mount Tai Seal with his hands, a spell tied to his command over Mount Tai. Though not considered weak, the Mount Tai Seal, refined from the destiny and willpower of Mount Tai and unleashed with a force akin to a mountain pressing down, was terrifying! Each Mountain God could forge a Great Seal. The Revered Black Tiger owned the Mount Heng Seal, Wen Pin the Mount Song Seal, Cui Ying the Mount Heng Seal, and the last, Jiang Yong, the Mount Hua Seal.

Abandoning his sword, Huang Feihu formed hand seals and summoned the Mount Tai Seal, slamming it toward the crown of Yu Rong King’s head!

Yu Rong King saw that Huang Feihu’s hand had transformed into a massive mountain, with the shadow of Mount Tai flickering on it. As it pressed down, the force was terrifying, as if the weight of Mount Tai bore down upon him.

Yu Rong King was startled, not expecting Huang Feihu to have such a move up his sleeve. The three Exorcism Hoops stacked above his head, withstanding Huang Feihu’s giant hand and preventing it from pressing down. However, Yu Rong King felt his bones ache, and his knees buckled, causing him to kneel on one leg.

"You demon, surrender now!" Huang Feihu roared as he pressed both hands downward, the shadow of Mount Tai solidifying even more, crushing Yu Rong King until it felt like his bones were about to shatter.

Yu Rong King yelled, "Are you the lead of The Five Peaks’ True Gods, the East Sacred Mountain Great Emperor Huang Feihu? Think not that merely refining the spiritual will of Mount Tai can kill me."

As he spoke, the three Exorcism Hoops burst with light, actually managing to push back the shadow of Mount Tai. Yu Rong King seized the chance to catch his breath, opened his mouth, and spat out a Qi Sword, darting straight for Huang Feihu’s face.

Huang Feihu was taken aback, not expecting Yu Rong King’s strength to withstand the spiritual will of Mount Tai. In horror, he drove the Five-Colored Divine Ox to dodge the Qi Sword, while simultaneously tightening his spell once more, increasing the gravity immensely.

Yu Rong King cried out in pain as he changed his spell, and the three Exorcism Hoops fell down, enveloping him and carrying him away into the earth.

Huang Feihu thought to himself, "This demon has considerable Mana and no small measure of skill; those three hoops are quite formidable."

Before he could finish pondering, he heard Cui Ying rushing from behind, shouting, "Be wary of your back, friend!"

Huang Feihu heard the ominous wind from behind and knew that Yu Rong King must have somehow circled around to his back. He thought to himself, "This demon’s Earth Escape skill is terrifyingly exceptional; he actually managed to slip away right under my eye and flank me!"

Quickly channeling his divine skills, he shifted the spiritual will of Mount Tai to his back, took a deep breath, and before he had finished inhaling, he felt a punch as large as a sand pot slam into his back!

"Ouch! It’s killing me!" cried Huang Feihu as Yu Rong King landed a heavy blow on his back, turning his vision dark. He hadn’t finished his breath when he was hit and sent spewing it out, but although the punch caused him intense pain, it hadn’t injured his core. The Five-Colored Divine Ox he was straddling also stumbled a few steps from the force.

Fortunately, Huang Feihu was a veteran of numerous battles. He had transferred the spiritual will of Mount Tai to his back, which seemed to safeguard him as if the mountain itself had offered protection. But Yu Rong King’s punch was no trifling matter! Plus, Yu Rong King had been building up his power, while Huang Feihu had only managed a hasty defense. To have not been seriously injured was indeed a stroke of luck amidst misfortune.

"You backstabbing rat, you attack me with a sneak attack and call yourself a hero?" Huang Feihu cursed out loud.

Before his words finished, he saw a golden Exorcism Hoop falling down, scaring him half to death. The remaining curses he had yet to hurl retracted back into his guts as he hurriedly threw the Mount Tai Seal up into the air, colliding with the Exorcism Hoop with a clang that sparked and sent the hoop flying away. After spinning around, it sliced through the surrounding hundreds of soldiers like mowing grass, cutting them in half and leaving blood everywhere.

The Exorcism Hoop scythed through the crowd, taking hundreds of lives before turning to attack again.

Huang Feihu was furious and, urging the Five-Colored Divine Ox to run fast, he kept the Mount Tai Seal ready, shouting, "Fellow Daoists, come aid me, this fiend is incredibly fierce, I don’t know which Demon King it is, but quickly capture him, so we can claim credit before His Majesty!"

At Huang Feihu’s call, the other four of The Five Peaks’ True Gods immediately rushed to confront Yu Rong King.

Infuriated, Yu Rong King, with his Three Corpses Deity fuming hotly, had intended to slay Huang Feihu and cut him down from the Five-Colored Divine Ox, but suddenly four Immortals arrived, cutting off his path.

"Damn it all, I’m so angry! The Five Sacred Mountains’ Great Emperors are but so, resorting to joining forces when they can’t beat me!" Yu Rong King shouted, tossing two Exorcism Hoops, intercepting Cui Ying’s Flying Sword and Revered Black Tiger’s spear.

Just as the five Great Emperors were closing in on Yu Rong King for the fight, he revealed that he wasn’t simple-minded. The Five Sacred Mountains’ Great Emperors likely had some sort of combined attack, so he quickly fitted the three Exorcism Hoops onto himself, whooshing with an exquisitely clever Escape Technique, he went underground and vanished without a trace.

Revered Black Tiger said, "Where did that demon escape to?"

Before he had finished, cries of agony came from the left camp, with soldiers shouting, "The demon is here! Fiercely fierce!"

The Five Peaks’ True Gods rushed over in haste, only to see Yu Rong King collect the Exorcism Hoops that had taken the lives of hundreds again, don the hoops, and using the Escape Technique, he moved to the right camp.

Popping up in the right camp, he unleashed another massacre; three Exorcism Hoops spun like grinding wheels, bright with golden light, bisecting any Heavenly Soldier that obstructed their path, splashing blood three feet high in a gruesome scene.

Annoyed, Huang Feihu said, "How can we allow this demon to bully our grand Celestial Dynasty’s army like this?"

Again, the five Great Emperors hastened to the right camp.

Yu Rong King repeated his trick, fitting the Exorcism Hoops onto himself and escaping underground, frustrating The Five Peaks’ True Gods almost to the point of wanting to dig three feet into the ground to find him!

Several commanders emerged from the central camp, among them, the Nine Luminaries Star Lords, with the red-faced Star Lord saying, "East Sacred Mountain Great Emperor, don’t rush! We will each take charge of a region, and once the demon shows its head, we’ll bash his brains out."

Huang Feihu said, "Good, good, good, thank you fellow Daoists for guarding the areas. As soon as the demon appears, we’ll capture him immediately!"

This time Yu Rong King was savvy, knowing high-level experts had emerged in the central camp; he dove underground and did not resurface, heading straight out of Heavenly Court’s camp.

In this wave of killings, at least two thousand Heavenly Soldiers and Generals perished under his Exorcism Hoops, casting a bloody shadow over the well-ordered camp, turning it into a chaotic mess.

Yu Rong King emerged, just when his five brothers also arrived. He loudly declared, "Brothers, I have just slaughtered a great number in the Heavenly Court’s camp, and it was indeed joyous! But The Five Peaks’ True Gods, numerous and strong, bullied me for being alone, so I had to retreat. Now is an excellent time to raid the camp."

"Are you hurt, Sixth Brother?" Peng Demon King, always prudent, couldn’t help but ask.

"Not at all, those in the camp were nothing but cowards and bunglers; how could they hurt me?" Yu Rong King laughed loudly.

Ox Demon King said, "Let us break into their camp right now and slay them utterly. The Seventy-Two Cave Demon Kings and a host of Demon Soldiers will soon be here."

Wukong nodded and said, "This time, we must beat them until they’re running over each other trying to escape! We’ll drive them out of Flower-Fruit Mountain."

The Six Great Demon Kings, each with their weapons and Magical Treasures in hand, roared and charged towards the main gate.
