Chapter 91: Satisfying His Thirst (Bonus Chapter)

Madeline’s lashes squinted tight when she felt the unwanted brightness trying to penetrate through her closed lid. She stirred countlessly on the soft bed, but no matter where she turned to avoid the light, the brightness continued to follow her line of sight, making it difficult for her to return to sleep as her eyes slowly opened to meet the opened curtains.

Feeling the warmth of the morning sun on her face, Madeline stretched her arms above her head, feeling the satisfying crack of her joints as her body felt numb from having to deal with last night’s event.

Her eyelids still felt heavy, and she wasn’t ready to completely slip out of bed yet. She felt too tired to get up, but then the opened curtains that looked orchestrated by Cas’s handwork weren’t letting her return to her peaceful slumbers.

Rolling over, she took a deep breath into her system, feeling the crisp morning air fill her lungs, and even when she felt tired, she felt happy about something that hasn’t been clear to her just yet. Propping both elbows to the side of the bed, she lifted herself up into a sitting position, her eyes adjusting to the soft light filtering through the curtains.

The faint chirping of birds outside filled the room, and the weather felt pleasantly cool this morning, one that only made Madeline think about nothing else but drifting back to that sweet sleep. Fighting the temptation of succumbing to the peaceful sleep, her eyes took notice of the empty space beside her, and her eyebrows knitted inquisitively as she wondered where the scheming fellow had gone.

At least today, she wasn’t going to complain.

It was a good thing he wasn’t around for her to see. That means she still has enough time to fully recover from the kiss they had shared last night in the dining room.

Just thinking about it sent all sorts of images flying through her head, and she knew she wouldn’t be able to stand in the same room as him as of now. It was her first time ever being that intimate with a man before, and her shyness wasn’t something she could easily cut ties with.

Celebrating his absence a bit too quickly, the bathroom door suddenly slid open to Madeline’s startlement, revealing the handsome lad as he stepped out from it, quietly sliding the door behind him before moving to the foot of the bed to look at his wife who had frozen at his mere presence.

If only it was a mere presence!

Madeline’s eyes nearly gauged out of their sockets seeing Cassian stand before her in nothing but a white towel that covered his lower body from the waist. His solid, well-toned body glistened under the penetrative lights coming from the windows, and the droplets of water that ran down his immaculate skin sent Madeline’s brain into further rebooting as she tried to swallow the magnificent view of the man in front of her.

She watched as a droplet ran down the center of his smooth chest, further down his upper abdomen and when her eyes fixed themselves against his navel and those powerful abs, she tried to think if she’s ever seen Cassian partake in any sort of workout for him to earn such a magnificent body.

The last time she watched him undress, he was still injured but right now, his skin was spotless and even had a natural glow to its own. It was difficult not to appreciate the sight before her eyes.

"Little wife, If a man could get pregnant, your gaze alone would have done the job." Teased Cassian as he forced Madeline’s eyes to instantly snap back up to meet his gaze, and she regretted immediately after seeing the inviting stares he sent her way. "Like what you see?"

Madeline had a lot to say to the young man who had succeeded in disorienting her muddled brain, and she’d be lying if she said she didn’t.

His Amber-brown eyes glinted dangerously as though he already knew her answer, and Madeline’s heart continuously pounded like it was being hammered against her chest, and she instantly averted her gaze elsewhere while slipping the blanket off.

"I...I... just remembered that I have.....I...need to...the bathroom....I need...No wait!" She wasn’t given the chance to slip out of bed when the young lad suddenly cornered her at the edge, forcing her to sit back on the bed against her own will as he stood in her path, trapping her.

"I.....you...need.... tsk! I don’t speak gibberish." His sexy voice only increased her heart rate as he leaned forward with one of his strong hands pressed to bed, and Madeline could feel her face burn having to look at Cassian up close.

The more he leaned on her like a predator, the more Madeline retracted like a frightened prey as she leaned back, supporting herself with her arms on the bed as she grabbed hold of the blanket to erase her nervousness.

"We...we didn’t make an agreement on this one." Madeline tried her best to yell those words at him, wanting him to take her seriously, but she was even more surprised when the tone of her voice came out meekly, barely above the sound of a whisper, and that only encouraged the young lad who wasn’t done messing with his wife.

"Did you sleep well?" He questioned when he was at the point of seizing her lips for himself, but Madeline pressed her lips together while looking away from him, refusing to answer his question and further dodging his advances.

"Maddie." He wheedled her name in an attempt to make the woman look in his direction, and he still couldn’t understand how a woman would be so difficult to woo as his wife. He barely had to do any of this before gaining the attention of the rest of the women.

"You won’t answer?" When he kept leaning too close, Madeline finally looked at him in order to stop the threatening advances, but their faces were only inches apart now, and Amber-brown eyes were intensely locked against Obsidian-dark orbs.

"You forgot you had a husband whom you needed to wait for last night." His cool breath fanned her cheeks, and he smelled subtly of vanilla while emitting the intoxicating heat of Tonka bean. "We weren’t done, and you thought sleeping early would save you from completing our agreement. Did you?"

"We.....ah!" Madeline let out a short scream when he pinched her waist, his way of silencing the woman who was ready to orally battle with him.

"I have another punishment for you." He interjected, and Madeline’s eyes went wide at the mention of punishment. Unlike how the thought of punishment made her feel frightened, whenever he said it always sounded exciting to her ears, which should be considered abnormal.

"Punishment?"

To Madeline’s surprise, he didn’t aim for her lips but her neck instead as he dropped a tantalizing kiss there, while his other hand wrapped her small waist. "I heard taking blood from the neck is much sweeter." He trailed the tip of his nose down her neck, causing her to shiver relentlessly.

His half-dried hair tickled her skin, sending unstoppable heat pooling through her nerves down to an area she wouldn’t bother to mention, and he pulled back to look into her blurry eyes.

Dangerous eyes clashing over innocent ones.

"As punishment, you need to satisfy my thirst for your blood."
