"Shino, are you alright? You touch your food" Shino’s dad said worriedly.

Michi looked at him with worried eyes, wondering why her brother wasn’t eating.

Shino had dark looks and his eyes were hidden by his bangs. "This isn’t real is it?" he began in a faint tone.

"What are you talking about Shino?"

His body trembled. "I really hoped that this was... everything... that you and Michi are still here" he raised his head as tears rained out from his eyes. "I pray for that every day, praying I could get to see both of you again"

’Why are you crying big brother’ Michi said with sign language, her eyes on the verge of tears too.

"Michi... I looked for you, I searched and searched in hopes that you were still alive" he cried. "I think of you every day dad, there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t, it hurts so much so much each time I do" he sobbed. "I want you to know that you can rest assured, I’m okay and I’m becoming the man that you would be proud of, it’s hard, it’s war all the time but... but" cried.

Jikai was beyond confused. "Shino"

"This isn’t real" Shino got off the chair heading to the door.

"Shino!"

He halted. "Where are you going son? Whatever you’re doing, stop it, you’re making Michi cry"

He could hear her little cry sounds and he was forced to turn, in his vision they were now far away in his perspective. Michi had uncontrollable tears gushing out. ’Come to us big brother’ she motioned with her sign hands.

"Shino, come son" Jikai stretched his hand with a smile on his lips.

A faint smile crossed Shino’s lips, the tears falling. "Thank you Dad" his gaze fell on Michi. "Big brother will always love you" he motioned with his hand.

She opened her mouth but no words came even if she wanted to.

Shino was hurting, his heart ached and it took every bit of his muscle to look away from his family and walk to the door. ’Michi, Dad’ he stepped out. ’Watch me, always watch me’

Hiro was a sobbing mess, his tears dripping on the floor, like droplets of water. "General Anzai"

"What did you call me?" Anzai asked puzzled before chuckling. "I’m no General Hiro, your father is" he laughed and the others did too.

"You were the best..." he sniffed, his body shaking as the tear gushed nonstop. "You were the best General I have ever known, you were a father to me and a mentor"

"Hiro, what are you talking about? You only just met Anzai"

"Mom, Dad" he looked at them, his vision was slowly fading, back to auras. "I love you both so much, more than anything in this world" he wiped his tears.

"Hiro you’re scaring me," Aiko said worriedly.

Haruto rose to his feet, watching his son with intensity.

"I was always a jerk to you dad, I was an ungrateful son, spoiled and naive, I never saw your struggle, I was such a fool" he sniffed. "I never got the chance to tell you to thank you, you’re amazing dad"

"Hiro"

He opened his eyes and they were black to being blind, and he saw them as auras. "My friend’s are waiting for me, humanity depends on us" his fist clenched. "And we will defeat the Queen" the house leisurely caught fire. "Because that’s what a soldier does... we protect... that is what you taught me General Anzai, and I promise I will avenge your deaths" the flames consumed everything.

And Hiro sensed as everything erased, the house, his family, where he grew up in, his clothes were no longer comfy wear but his military attire.

’Its hurts... its hurts... but’ his bio-genetics eyes beamed. ’This is all a dream and its time to wake up!’

Reality

"Ease yourself children" the Queen spoke as she floated to the air and the yellow round orb centered on her forehead gleamed and tentacles busted out from her back.

They watch in horror, she intends to wipe them out in one go.

"Let me take the pain away" she mused. "Painlessly"

A bright light wiped everything in sight, covering the entire area, but that was just a diversion.

For the tentacles moved to Shino and pinned him at the back of his neck and he shouts, something flowed within him, he was lighted off his feet.

"SHINO!" Sumi shouted in horror as he became unconscious.

The other tentacles reach for Raiden, Mosu, Ren, and Mizuki pinning them to the back of their neck and they were in the same state as Shino.

It came for Yuki, Mirai, Kaneki, Hiro, and Sumi before they could fight it off.

They were all floating and the darkness taking over their minds.

"Let me take the pain away" her voice echoed in their head as they were all in the state of the abyss, she shall give them what they want and slowly drain their energy away. "What is it you desire, think of it, dream of it"

"Mom, Dad," Hiro said unconscious as tears streamed down his closed eyes.

"Michi, Dad" Shino murmured.

"Yes, you can have it all" she mused.

"Dad" Raiden murmured.

"Big sister," Mizuki said.

"San," Mosu said.

"Mirai, big brother," Kaneki said.

"Mom," Mirai said.

"Rin, mom, dad" tears streamed from Ren’s closed eyes.

"And you" She mused floating in front of Yuki, she was unconscious but said nothing. "An empty shell has nothing to dream about"

She heard the struggle and at the sound, she snapped her head to Sumi. "Oh and you? You have nothing to dream about?"

Sumi struggled, the tentacles were wrapped tightly around her neck.

"Why aren’t you dreaming?!"

Sumi’s teeth clenched hard. "Because my dream, is hell!" she yelled as her thin wires unraveled from under her sleeves and slit the tentacles off, she fell to her knees groaning.

The Queen snarled at her.

"If you think my previous life was some fairy tail and you think you could exploit that, you’re wrong!" she growled.

"Too bad, I hoped in killing you painlessly while you dream, but..." she licked her lips. "Die the most painful way possible" her claws extended and Sumi’s eyes widened because knew what was coming.

Suddenly a knee slammed her face and the force pushed her off to a far distance, causing the tentacles that held others to release.

Shino lands on his feet in front of Sumi who watches him with shaky eyes but then a faint smile found her lips as well as tears gushing from her eyes.
