Chapter 261: Dungeon quest of Adonis

Yir’s POV:

’Just what is the relationship between Lord Viktor and Lucifer? In my whole life, I’ve never seen a god coming down to the mortal world just to have a simple conversation with a demigod. Curse of Name and War? And what did Lord Viktor give Lucifer that made him drool over?’

Yir was confused and scared too. Because it was Lucifer’s fault that his previous lord made him kick him out. He had seen Lucifer treating Elesis like a dog so it was confusing for him to see a different side of Lucifer.

Also, Lucifer having a curse made him think about getting revenge but after associating with Adonis, he started to see evil as a part of existence. Lucifer wasn’t a part of his revenge but since he was also slowly rotting down to his core, he wanted to see Lucifer suffer more. So he asked Viktor,

"Lord Viktor. What do you think about his curse?"

Viktor looked back and saw Yir’s face which was revealing everything he thought a minute ago. He was plotting something.

"Hum? His curse? Not only him. Almost every god and demigod have that curse on their body. They are not even aware of its existence."

"Then, I believe Lord Elesis also has that?"

Viktor smiled and didn’t reply to his question. He simply stood up and walked near the door. "Let’s go. I want to buy something before checking my report from Radium. I’m running low on time."

Somewhere in the God of Necromancer’s territory...

’Tsk!! How long do I have to run his errands? That darn Lucifer is really getting on my nerves now. And my current boss doesn’t even give me any break from work. Everytime I am done with a task, he just comes out of nowhere and gives me a new one. And the difficulty kept increasing!’

Elesis, the demigod of knowledge punched the wall in front of him and suddenly, a small-looking bug fell in front of him. It was a small undead that works for the God of Necromancer.

The small bug-looking creature raised his head and cleaned his small wings before yelling, "Hey! Can’t you do your job properly? Why are you punching on the wall? Don’t you know my home is here?"

Elesis almost crushed the bug under his shoes but he suddenly remembered that every undead that lives inside the territory has a connection with the god. If he kills one, the God of Necromancer will punish him for killing a part of his body even though no undead can’t actually die.

They can be revived without any problem but the God of Necromancer didn’t like violence. He disliked his minions getting hurt.

Elesis removed his feet and said, "Will you please stop? My ears are ringing because of your noisy voice. Just shut up!"

Elesis took the papers he was carrying and started to walk towards the laboratory of the necromancer god.

He pushed the door made a loud cracking noise and stepped inside.

"Lord, I have bought all the papers you asked for."

"Welcome back, Elesis. How was your trip to the world of cultivators?"

"It was the same as the mortal world but people are far stronger than mortals that live above the underworld."

"I see. I’ve lived in that world before coming here. When I was about 20 thousand years old, a great war broke out that completely wiped out the existence of modern technology. Now, they live in a world where advanced communication is nothing but fantasy. I doubt they even know about anything because the path of cultivation is more important than mere mobile phones. Hahahaha!!!"

Elesis kept silent because he was talking shit. He was plotting to run away from the realm but the magic seal on him was way too advanced for him to break. He needed a key to unlock the seal but the key was under the necromancer god’s protection.

But there were still ways of stealing it and his plan was all ready to proceed.

’Now. I will wait for him to concentrate on his work so I can use a spell I learned from Lucifer and steal it from his pocket.’

A smirk appeared on his face...

The territory of Kobayashi, Helsia, the lowest heaven realm...

Adonis put on his jacket and looked at the endless sky and the ceiling of the realm above the ground of Helsia.

It was a spectacular view because the sun of heaven was going down, leaving a magical ray all over the sky that pierced through every cloud.

He took a deep breath and tied his hair with a small golden band he was carrying around his left hand. He then looked at the time and set a timer of 2 years. He was planning to raid a dungeon in the territory of Kobayashi which was built by the god of dungeons.

’The weather is great today as well. If my master was here, he’d dump all of his work and stare at the sky all night long. After staring at the sky all night, he’d ask for a glass of warm water. Hah.. I wonder what he is doing now. Is he eating well? I heard from Yir that he is in a new yet mortal body. A small weak body that might break if he pulls his hand a little hard. This is really giving me a headache. I want to dump my work and leave Helsia to see him but I’m only a demigod. I can’t leave before my core reaches its 5th stage. And I’m only rotting in the 3rd stage. I need to work harder. I need to gain more strength.’

He again sighed and spread his golden feather wings which he rarely does. Despite being a demonic god, his angelic wings and appearance were enough to catch all the small spirits’ eyes randomly flying around. They all approached Adonis and started to touch his wings. They were also astonished to see an evil demigod could be that beautiful. So they all decided to follow him but with a swish of his hand, Adonis drove them away.

The small magical spirits were sad but quickly fled behind Adonis because they sensed something else. At that moment, Kobayashi came and said, "You’re here again? Are you planning to raid that dungeon now, Adonis?" Those spirits were orbiting Kobayashi like moons but the numbers were too much that he almost got buried under them. So he also had them away because he was about to ask Adonis about something.

Showing off his bright orange eyes, he looked back and saw Kobayashi sitting above a tree filled with royal red leaves. There were shining gems hiding behind every leaf that caught his eyes. They all looked like red rubies handing but actually, they were all fruits that tasted nothing from the mortal world. As expected of heaven, nothing could be compared to the mortal world.

After a deep breath, Adonis replied, "Lord Kobayashi, what are you doing here at this hour?"

Kobayashi laughed and answered, "Why are you calling me lord all of a sudden? Aren’t we good friends now? You’re being way too formal after you joined the border sector."

"Paying respect doesn’t mean I am breaking our friendly relationship, Kobayashi. I’m just feeling under the weather today."

"What happened?" Kobayashi asked.

"My master is in the mortal world, completing his quest in a mortal body. Yir, the angel who recently pledged his loyalty to me told me something uninteresting. He was supposed to be on the planet called Eros but something else interrupted his quest and took him away. I was so scared that I almost left my work after seeing the missing quest on the heavenly guild. But after a few days, Yir sent me a letter that he was okay and he was on a side quest."

"I see. A lot of things are going on at a time with your master. So, how is he? How’s my quest going on?"

"Yir says he is fine but I don’t know anything about the quest. I’m sorry."

"Ah, don’t be. So, when are you going to enter the dungeon?"

Adonis looked at the tall entrance of the dungeon called ’The Mourning Ceremony," and sighed. He wasn’t tired but worried for his master.

"Um.. I will go now. See you in a few days, Kobayashi. Don’t interact with Name’s people. Lucifer seems like he is plotting to wage a war. Don’t go against him. He is actually aiming for Name, which I heard from Yir."

"I know, kid. Go have fun."

Adonis smiled and said, "You too. Have fun in the war. Make sure you don’t get caught by the void’s punishment."

Adonis turned back and headed to the huge door that had an upside-down cross. The door was bright red and its handle was made of pure gold. It looked nothing like a dungeon entrance.

’Here we go, my first dungeon quest after a long time... I hope I can get out of here before 2 years of mortal world time.’
